    Nice work, and I was amazed by how good the environment looks in this game!

    There's a lot more to talk about with optimal chain attacks. I was hitting those chain attack damage values 20 levels lower. There's a very easy way to take advantage of it.

    They should make a Xenoblade Chronicles game where the combat was more like Devil May Cry mixed with the combat in both FF7 Remake Trilogy games, I like games with that type of combat, just because I think it feels good

    I haven’t seen a single video that explains the controls and what everything on the screen corresponds to. That’s the only part I’m confused about

    God the combat system in these games is so complicated

    • @OtterloopB
      @OtterloopB Před 2 lety +7

      But once you get it and it clicks, it's a blast.
      Even after hundreds of hours in XC2, I still like to play it simply because the combat is fun and allows for absurd damage numbers. Launching an enemy and then slamming them into the ground, watching a spray of loot erupt in their wake...
      It's so satisfying

    • @AstonishingRed
      @AstonishingRed Před 2 lety

      @@OtterloopB I agree. It took three games but for some reason the combat in XC3 seems to click with me. It’s kind of addictive. As a casual who was just not able to get into the past titles, I’m really curious as to what was done differently here from the perspective of someone who beat the previous games. I definitely don’t feel like my understanding is comparable to an experienced player but for once I’m actually enjoying the mechanics in combat.

    Jebus the combat is so convoluted... I'm like 5 hours in and it's fun but seeing this I'm not sure I'm ever going to understand how to really play correctly

    For the weirdos saying they should have made it an action RPG, just go buy an action RPG! You can't throw a rock without hitting one nowadays. Believe it or not, there's tons of people who enjoy this more tactical style of gameplay, hence the good sales for the series.

      @DjangoBruh Před 2 lety +8

      @@codebreaker4087 The auto battle is an option. There are even arpgs that have stuff like that. It doesn't take away from the fact that the combat system is deep and allows a ton of tactical freedom

    Nice combat guide. But please do include a spoiler tag.
    I notice a few big spoilers for the later part of the game in this review. I understand that some mechanics are unlock later on like the ouroboros orders but I think a spoiler tag would be nice for those who don't want to be spoiled but need guidances as it is their first xeno game. But you accidentally reveal certain things before the ouroboros order part like the classes and a particular special key item for the plot, so please include a spoiler warning in the description.
    Otherwise nice round down of the mechanics of the game
