    I'm going to pin this because one of ya'll just told me something I didn't know at the time of making this video and that is the following: If you just get your TP to 100 you'll get 1 character back, 150 for 2 and 200 and higher for 3, however the rules on who you use last and first still stands if you want to get a certain character back like I explained for Taion and using a defender at the end for example. Thank you for the reminder and all the help ya'll! Keep it up! If there anything else i miss lets help each other out here!

      And that's why sometimes saving your highest attacker for last is better instead of ending with a defender

      It's more important to go high on your TP than to end on a defender. You'll get all chars back anyway, after 2 rounds max. You even get a bonus to the dmg multiplier when Zou go over 150, making it easier to get higher tp.

      what I am digging is that the chain can be crafty like this or you just can go full monkey until you get the gist of it, I am waiting for a sale to get this game but it seems it´s not gonna happen soon.

    One thing to mention is that all party members have a set base number of tp at the start of a chain attack regardless of class. For example taion will always start with 35, Noah will always start with 30, sena always starts with 15 etc.

    If you deplete an enemy's health bar you go into overkill and any damage after that begins to add to a multiplier for your exp and cp. it's a great way to unlock classes and level them when you have a food bonus going.

    I think getting to 150% and 200% TP gets you back another character. I don’t know what one it is but I noticed it when watching a friend play the game. I just got the game and am really early in the game and don’t have chain attacks yet but I’m trying to understand the game and how combat works

    It's not random. It's if you reach 150% for 2 characters back and 200% for 3 characters back. 150 and 200 are the thresholds.

    One thing to note is that role bonuses and completion bonuses don’t change depending on what class you have. But the attack you do during a chain order (it’s called a chain art) does change depending on your class.

  • @DLCMan1218
    @DLCMan1218 Před rokem +3

    Heroes also enter chain attacks and will have hero bonus and unique effect if chosen as chain order..
    i'll use Riku and Manana for a example, every character has their own effects.
    yes, they appear at one of the 3 chain order characters/
    if Riku and Manana are selected as chain order, you do your normal stuff, sellecting characters until their tp to 100% and they do their finishing attack. in the next chain order, Riku and Manana will give everyone who wasn't used +7 TP at the start of the next round.
    now if you choose them during a chain order, they will allow the next character to do 125% (unless Riku and Manana TP trigger 100%).
    also note that Attacker heroes don't trigger the first blood btw, but Healers will still not trigger 100%. idk about defenders tho...
    if i got anything wrong then idk what to say cause i suck at saying stuff

    I didn’t know using a defender brought back your attacker 😂
    Overall I had a good grasp of how chain attacks function but I was wondering why sometimes it wouldn’t bring back my attackers and sometimes it would lol
    I wish the game went in depth to explain that little detail

    • @Gamer-zg2wb
      @Gamer-zg2wb Před rokem +2

      It doesn't bring back your Attacker. Getting 100%+ with a Defender brings back the character with the highest TP. This is important to know, since it could accidently bring back a Healer, who can't finish a Chain Order because of its own unique properties. So think carefully. If you have to choose between an Attacker and a Defender when your Healer has the most TP, it's mostly better to use the Healer and then end with the Attacker so you have a chance of reactivating a different character who can finish an order, unless you know *for sure* that you'll reach at least 150% (reactivates 2 characters) when the Defender finishes.

  • @jrgenervik9977

    This game's combat is a convoluted mess. I thought the previous 2 games were bad (which they were) but this game is just dreadful and it doesn't go into much depth If any at all leaving the Player to trial and error in the worst possible way basically.
    This is one thing I despise with Xenoblade. Many thanks for this video, honestly if it wasn't for CZcamsrs like yourself I would be quite lost with some of these mechanics.
