    Greetings #GothMothSquad
    +++
    My name is Nat and I am a gothic operatic singer, actor and voice artist based in the heart of Kent, England. Music has always played an important part in my life as a musician and I love to use my platform on CZcams to share it in my music reactions.
    I work on the basis of a reaction should be just that, you don't get another crack at it! What you see from me is the real deal. I don't pre-screen anything I see or work from tight scripts. I'm completely open, emotive and sensitive with my audience.

      @@momchilandonov I saw them together on tour many many years ag,o and live Messiah Marcolin was way better than the King, I have to say.

    Jonas Åkerlund who made the candlemass music video is now a grammy award winning Swedish film director 😅 He made videos for Madonna, Metallica, Rammstein, U2 and many more..
    He was also a member of black metal band Bathory before their career took off.

    4:15 I can see what you are saying. The Guitars were playing the begin riff of Chopins "Funeral March." Which was completed in the middle 1800's I like it!

    I’ve had the honor of lots of back and fourth with Messiah. His bellowing vocals are amazing, we played a lot of the same places back in the day. This song is awesome
 and the cheesy video actually aged so well! I’m gonna shoot him an email with a link to this. I haven’t had contact with him in a long time but he would enjoy this.

    I’ve heard of Candlemas but never checked them out. What strikes me is how the singer sounds so much like the late Jack Bruce from Cream. You may know him from the song “White Room”

    Great reaction, it reminded me of an early black sabbath with a bit of Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickinson mixed in . Loved it

    12:37 great Pelle Ohlin (Dead) singer from Mayhem. He died in 1991 at the age of 22. A shocking story and a piece of good old Norwegian black metal. Maybe some reaction to Mayhem or Morbid?

      Candlemass one of those very rare bands with like 5 different vocalists, all of them being absolute master level singers. Johan and Messiah are both their best in my books

    That was good fun, enjoyed that, had Black Sabbath vibes but without being a copy. I don't tend to like saying 'this band sounds like another' but it did have those vibes. As always I love the way you pick out subtleties in the singing style and technique.

    11:57 (blonde long hair behind vocalist)- Pelle Ohlin, former and best vocalist of Mayhem is in that video.
    I recommend you react to them, the vocalist who’s in this video kills himself in the end, then the guitarist of Mayhem starts being an asshole taking pictures of his dead body and taking pieces of his skull to make necklaces, and manages to get stabbed to death 2 years later by the seasonal bassist of Mayhem at the time, Varg Vikernes; as the original bassist left when he heard what the guitarist had done.
    A good song from them to react to is Life Eternal, which is made using a part of Pelle’s suicide note as lyrics.

    • @azja6666
      @azja6666 Pƙed 2 lety

      I agree with everything except Euronymous was an asshole. Euro was a genius, yes, it was controversial to take pictures of Dead after he died, but that's what real black metal is. It's a pity for both of them, but their art and music are still alive.

    • @Skbrvrisjsbdvetjtrbejudb
      @Skbrvrisjsbdvetjtrbejudb Pƙed 2 lety +4

      @@azja6666 Almost everyone who knew Euronymous says he was an asshole; he went too far with everything, talked shit, etc. Yes I agree he was a great composer and musician.
      The hard thing is that we don’t know his part of the story, he might have actually been less bad than people say he was, but he’s not here to defend himself unfortunately.
      Also, that’s what he thought black metal was, but I tend to think as many others Black Metal isn’t a genre, but a music movement (against trendy American death metal). But Euronymous went too far with this, so he would make sure his band would be the “leading” band of the 2nd wave of black metal.
      That also explains his anger toward Vikernes when he got all the attention after he got arrested.
