Genos - error on MIDI settings after upgrading Firmware 2.1.0 - problem solved

This problem occurred after upgrading the firmware to Version 2.1.0. USER settings for MIDI have been deleted and the Folder icon is gray (not available). The factory settings for MIDI cannot be selected. Loading stored USER settings did not resolve the issue. Resetting the factory settings for MIDI solved the problem. Factory and USER settings can now be selected and a Folder icon is available. All you have to do is load USER settings and the problem is solved.

I still got a problem. When trying to save a changed midi setting the save here button does not pop up, so the new setting will not be saved. Do you have any idea how to solve this?

Did you do a MIDI Reset as I showed in video 01:36?

yes, I have done the midi reset. I could select the different midi settings before and had the files folder active. However when I wanted to save changes in a new midi setting the folder has become inactive and the save here button did not pop up. So I have done the midi reset as you showed in your video. But unfortunately the save here button did not show up.

Hello Casper:
It seems that there`s a solution on saving if your trick doesn`t work: when you want to save a modified MIDI setup, don`t press "Save" button, but setup`s name strip; in this case, you`ll find that "File" icon is available for saving process.
Don`t use "Save" icon, press on name!!!...

Yeh there is bugs in the new update I turn my on and then some writing came up so I turn it off again then turned it on first time this has happen to me and it froze the screen so I guess it's after this new update

It is advisable to paint a notice that appears. Maybe it happened after the update but it doesn’t have to be that way.
I hope that Yamaha will fix all the shortcomings that arose after the Update on 2.10.

hvala ti Casper za bilo koju demo verziju. Molim te. Preuzimam sve Genos šablone za cubase koje pronađem na i ternetu, uključujući i onaj na iamaha sajtu, ali moj cubase 9 ih ne prepoznaje. Ja sam na cubase 9. Da li imate šablon za cubase 9 koji radi. ako je tako, možete mi pomoći da mi ga pošaljete ako je moguće, naravno. Unapred se zahvaljujem i dobru muziku.

Da li pod "šablona" podrazumjevate Instrument definition, listu instrumenata? Ovo je postupak za Cubase 10.5 ali mislim da je isto i za verziju 9. Pokušajte pa mi javite da li je uspjelo.

I find it very bad that you can't save the MIDI settings with the registrations on the GENOS.
I need different settings for many different VSTi in the DAW.

Registrations are well resolved but not omnipotent. I think Yamaha deliberately omitted the option you mention because the amount of information sent at the touch of a button would be too large and in certain situations this could create a problem. That's just my opinion.
It should be noted that the Tyros and PSR models do not send registration data via Sysex. Genos and SX can do that and I see it as progress. Yes, I remember KN7000, he could do what you need.
