I've had bad luck with rear seals on 4 GM trucks in a row. All bought new and changed to synthetic oil after the break-in. Not fun at all.
Pop the seal. USE THE TOOL TO ALIGN. Trust me.
I don't know if you ever checked the end play. The crankshaft could be moving in ways you don't want to. Time to dig a pit in your garage, man, o man, laying on your back. I feel your pain.

Not related to try video but your tires look awesome! Was curious what PSI you run them at on the streets? I normally drop mine down to between 15-18 when wheelin’ and air them back up to 30-35 on the streets. Last couple times I only went back up to 30 psi. Not sure if that’s too low and curious what you think?
Oh I have 31x10.5” A/T tires
I always run 35 psi
@@BackCountryWrenching nice, I usually air up to 33, I’ll go back up to 35. I originally had them there before I got air down tools and a travel compressor. Man it sure makes it so much smoother on the rocky trails when I air down!

If you have the trans still out and it's easy to pull the oilpan you may wanna yank it and put a new oilpan gasket with pookie at each corner while you're there. 90% of your normal ls oil leaks will be taken care of at that point. Used to make alot of money doing those jobs back in my dealer days. The machine at the plant would run out of sealant and a few engines would sneak by before they noticed. At least that was our theory. Anyway, long time viewer just figured I'd help. Mother fuckin cheers 🍻
Jerry I feel for ya man! It's a shame that you have to do major surgery everytime you need to work on that thing. It seems as though everything is a major deal. Use it a couple of times then back in the shop. But it does make for good content though!
