- Heavy Train With 3 Locomotives Pushing It Up The Big Hill Out Of The Ohio River Valley! Norfolk Southern Railroad in Crescent Springs, Kentucky. Listen To The Locomotives After They Pass The Railroad Crossing! 2 Trains Have DPU Locomotives. Locomotives from Wells Fargo Leasing and Burlington Northern Santa Fe are featured.
The video also shows footage filmed by Mrs Tooth while I was filming the trains. She was filming a helicopter with a long chain saw that was cutting trees back from the power lines on our farm. This video also shows the Live Action Pets and a slide show that comes from the video.
Filmed Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

D-P-U-I-C-UD, tripple DPU's, two NS and a BNSF pushing hard up the hill. Jaw Tooth you're as tough as nails, all your fellow rail fans were laying up at home staying dry and warm. Thanks for braving the weather to get us another great video!
Love it! When it snows you know where I will be lol
@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars Cool, that would be awesome to see.. I always wanted to film them doing this but I am never home when they do. Im glad Mrs Tooth got the video
Engine sound is awesome! That loco is earning its keep.
Yes indeed!
This video reminded me of the Elvis Presley song, "Kentucky Rain". Going out in that weather rail fanning shows real dedication.
Thanks for watching! I like that song and think of it on days like that
Wow what a bonus. That pilot was working his butt off. Thank you Mrs. J.T.
Thanks and I will tell her
Yeah he was, how do you think he's able to see that chainsaw directly beneath him and knows where to place it?
Good morning J.T. I wish I could be there to hold a umbrella for you. You put yourself through lots of bad weather to film train's for us to see. Thank you so very much.
Good morning! I am hoping that we get some snow next week lol
This is the heart of the (old) US - productive power, wealth, commodity. On the move. Magnificent ( from the UK). Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
The 3 DPUs on the mixed freight did sound fabulous! Great catch JT! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
And the three trailing locos were working just as hard!
Seems like they sounded louder after they crossed the road. that was really cool
Absolutely that train sounded awsome. You got a great shot of it to.👍👍
You could totally hear that uphill locomotive straining and pulling. Awesome to get on video but of course, you always do! Plus DPU's, jokes and tree-cutting copters. Talk about "wait, there's more"!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The helicopter segment looks incredibly difficult and dangerous, the pilot must have some really good skills.
for sure
Well well at least when it's raining those drab old NS locomotives have a shine to them. BNSF has my favorite color scheme on their locomotives. Keep up the good work and the great videos .
I agree with you
That was extremely impressive with the helicopter cutting the trees like that.
Since the chainsaw is beneath him, how does the helicopter pilot know where to swing or place the chainsaw?
I happen to live near some power lines and the company that owns them has a chopper too. But I always thought it was for patrolling the right of way.
Yep! that loco was really working hard!
I hope the sounds from them came over the computer good because it was really something to hear standing by it
An unusual setup with the one lead engine and 3 DPUs - very cool! The sound is awesome :) Some of the most dangerous jobs are with the power company - look at that helicopter pilot wielding a chainsaw so close to those high tension lines. One mistake and poof! He is a very good pilot!
Great catch great video thanks Brian the Mrs got some great footage
Awesome train action in Kentucky with some DPU's and some Norfolk Southern trains, Norfie and the Train Dogs making a great appearance
Thanks Jaw Tooth.🇺🇲🤠🇺🇲
🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
That triple header with one one the tail, was sure flexing those rails by the crossing ! Brilliant catches as always.
Many thanks!
Another fantastic video my dear friend! I liked it! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thank you very much!
But wait! There’s more! Rain turning into snow coming your way ‘tooth! Stay safe our there! Appreciate your work!
Will do!
WOW!!! Trip DPU's, that would be awesome to see live. Listen to those things work!!! What a treat! Great catch JT!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm stealing those jokes.
I've never seen that before with cutting trees, nice grab.
I loved this video. So many unusual things. Three DPUs on one train. Thanks Mrs. Tooth for the helicopter show. I never saw that before! ❤
Thanks for all your hard work to bring us these videos
Glad you like them!
11:30 Trips to the dentist are such a thrill! I've had 4 or 5 root canals done in the past, a necessary evil at the time.
20:15 Man alive, that's some hazardous duty! I'm sure that copter pilot gets well-paid.
Some LP Smart Siding on that train!
Yes, someone commented that it came from you lol
Mrs Tooth sure got a great video there for sure! Not something one would often get to see!
Got to say that is one good Chopper Pilot!
You got that right! She made me happy getting that. Thanks for watching!
We saw a helicopter with a saw just like that when we attended the Paul Bunyon show in Cambridge, Ohio last fall. It was a static display by LaRoche. I didn't take a picture of it, but it really looked like the same helicopter to me.
Great video JT! The helicopter trimming the trees back was interesting! Thanks Mrs. JT!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍👍🚁
Wow, I've never heard of, or seen a flying hedge cutter. Great catch Mrs T 👍👍👍👍👍 🇬🇧
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey JawTooth and Mrs JawTooth
Great work today
👍👍👍👍👌👌👍👌
Hey, thanks!
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨✨✨👍
Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth You're welcome! 🖐🖐🙏🙏🙏
Hey Brian! I know you're a music guy. I recently co-authored "Carpenters: The Musical Legacy" with Richard Carpenter (in case you're a fan at all of their music!). As a fellow trainspotter, can't tell you how much joy you bring to folks through your dedication! Whenever I've got the itch and little time to do any spotting myself, I can always rely on your channel for fresh content! Bless you ...

That was a heavy ass train!! And up a hill. Imagine the power of those engines. Even going down a hill it takes a skilled engineer to keep the train under control.
Whatever they are paying that helicopter pilot it’s not enough… it was darn windy too!! Amazing video Mrs Tooth.
Loved those hardworking DPU’s!
Good video Brian. I was in Crescent Springs last Friday. I got more coming up the hill than down for a change. Loved the chopper trimming trees footage.
Sounds great! I get more going down for some reason and I almost always get the steel coils train going up but I didn't see it on Tuesday
Awesome video with 3 dpu working hard but wait there’s more 👍🚂😎🇺🇸👍
WOW! WTG Mrs TOOTH!
Thanks!
Awesome videos Mrs jawtooth did a great job with her video thumbs up hi to the pets❤❤❤
Yay! Thank you!
Good old rain X.
I love that stuff
Awesome catches on the hard working engines Jawtooth! That helicopter trimming trees was a extra special treat!👍
This was one of the best videos ❤
Thanks!
The rain, mon cheri, paints a rather forlorn ambiance over the proceedings...but then RAIN is but one letter away from TRAIN.
BTW, from one married person to another, when your spouse and you are "being all Lovey-Dovey", do you ever exclaim, "But Wait...There's More !'
TaTa ! 💋
Love it! We might be getting some snow next week. I hope so because that is my favourite to film in. Thanks for watching!
❤ the triple DPU!!! Lot of power !!! 11 degrees n MS - we r not use to cold artic weather n the south! Enjoy the warmth!!!
Oh wow! Now, I am supposed to go to Florida in February
Excellent ✓
Thanks!
Seems like you found a winner with Mrs. Tooth! Great video!
Yes! Thank you!
wow, mister horse doesn't like that at all.... lol good job mrs tooth.
The horse is afraid of everything. He is a big chicken. lol
i'll be looking for him and mister duck in the spring... spring is just around the corner. lol@@JawTooth
Good DPU action on the grade,My Son, Dad and Me watched them trim the right of way using a helicopter 🚁, pretty cool 😎!🛤🚂
Good rainy day action JT! Enjoyed Mrs T’s video of the helicutting! Horse wasn’t too happy with all the live action(horses name?) And Norfie thought Loci was a little too rough! Time well spent!
Thanks 👍 The horses name is Baby. My daughter named him that when she was little. Thanks for watching!
When ever I was rail fanning. Rains would bring on the trains when I was filming. Trains would be more on the go in the snow in the cold winters. Stay warm, thanks for the trains in the rains, snow and warm days.
Happy new year 2024!!!!
We like the american trains at time...
🇱🇷🚂😨😱📱♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Wow! Great catch, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Watched yesterday.Commenting today.Always good trains there. Cool catch by your wife.Thumbs up.
Thanks for watching
It always amazes me how 1 or 2 locomotives can get so many cars rolling
LoL Jaw Tooth your on a roll! Thank You for rail fanning! Have a great day!
Wow, a DPU trifecta. You can really hear the dynamics on the down grades. Last summer there was a Hughes 500 with a circle saw setup cutting along the high line by my house. It was amazing the amount of control the pilot had over the rig. Looks like the same thing you have there, might even be the same company. Excellent video, enjoyed it much. Thanks JT!
Your dedication to making these videos really shows, rain or shine. Three DPU's cool!!! and the jokes keep coming, who could ask for more. Great job👍👍
Thank you very much!
That has to be an EXPENSIVE TREE TRIMMING JOB.
Morning JT!
Morning!
Yeah, another classic video. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Kitty doesn't want to play LOL.
That triple DPU train was awesome. I saw a helicopter doing the same thing one day when I was on the way home from Chillicothe VA. Chessie just a little camera shy. Have a great day...
This is my favorite location out of all of your vids. Love the uphill battles.
Me too. I love this spot but it is difficult to get a heavy train going up
Another fantastic train video! Love it! Thanks for braving the weather! Hope your being careful! 😊
Yes did hear it chugging up the hill. Great catches
OUT STANDING CATCH, MRS. J T. UP GRADES ARE AWESOME, WAITING FOR THE STALL OUTS . EXCELLENT CATCH JAWTOOTH 💯👍✝️
Thank you kindly
Good Thursday morning JT, another fine video. Have a good day.
Good morning!
Thanks so much for helicopter video! I never seen like this before!
Wow awesome pruning saw 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Many many thanks
Great way to start the day, watch Jawtooth.
Thanks!
Very hard working DPU icu like JT!
Rainy day action is very hard . And very rial seen . Thank you very much for your action .
Thanks for watching my video!
Two 👍 on the alternate view of that crossing. Really like this side of the tracks.
I will say, I started using your technique to hold the phone while filming. You’re onto something! My finger stays away from the camera and it’s still mostly stable
Awesome! It's fun trying to get a great video. The thing I learned is there is no perfect video. Every time I film something I always think that I could have done a little better if I had stood there or zoomed in or whatever. The challenge is fun though
Gotta love the sound of a hard working engine ❤❤
You got that right!
That helicopter action was pretty crazy, at one point it looked like it was trimming your hedges at your house...also I see they picked a nice still day to do it...😂
😊i have never see that before that flying saw. verry little chopper. cool to see. this is wath for Preston, lol.😊
Thanks 👍
Nice job Mrs. Tooth with the helicopter footage! There's a James Bond movie (several back, can't remember the name) that features a helicopter chainsaw like that one.
Cool. I have never seen a chainsaw on a helicopter.
That helicopter saw looks "hella dangerous." 😂
I sure would not want to be a squirrel in the tree with that thing
Do you think it's just a newfangled chainsaw? And how do you think he sees directly below the helicopter and knows where to swing the thing in the trees?
Mrs. Tooth might have to start her own channel. That was cool I have never seen a helicopter doing that around here.
Hey jaw tooth cool trains. Helicopter was interesting the way they cut back trees. Kinda scary the way they do that. Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
Another great video in a long line of great presentations from you! Hope you don't mind, I'll be sharing this video on Facebook to show the helicopter and saw gizmo. I'll be sure to give you credit. And it made my day to see a P&W auto rack in today's video, they're few and far between. Interesting how that one uphill train had 1 lead engine and 3 DPU's, you'd think they'd go 2+2.
Heck of a good helo pilot to do that
This is the first time I heard of helicopter cutting trees.
Years ago, I took photos of a similar helicopter cutting trees, where they daylighted Eagle Tunnel in Grant County for CSX.
Looks like "LP SMART Siding" on the car in front of the DPU's from Jason Asselin's way in the UP of Michigan!
Awesom Full Power Great
Good morning
Morning
Nice video...never have seen a helicopter doing that...interesting..thanks for the video
It sure did picked it up!!!
Triple helper DPU units..wow.
I thought that method of cutting trees was only found in a James Bond movie. Lol. Talk about hi risk jobs
Amazing catches Jaw Tooth!
Great video!🙂 Your videos are always entertaining!🚂🚂🚂
The town i was born & raised in recieves 85" of precipitation per yr. But
That also includes rain and snow. It's in
W. Washington, 20 miles from the coast. If you have to work outside in the winter, you'd better get used to
Being in the rain, otherwise you'll never get anything done. We have a
Saying, we don't tan we rust.LOL!!!
I watch your videos all the time
Nice NS trains my favorite wheather to watch BNSF or UP is in rain
I have never seen chain saw cutting from a helicopter. I have seen high tension line inspection performed from a helicopter. Neat stuff from Mrs. Tooth!
I'd like to know how the pilot can see below is helicopter to where to place the chainsaw?
Great video, loved the jokes!! Always love to watch and hear your comments. Stay warm and safe out there.
Thanks! Will do!
This is one your best spots to film
Enjoyed the video. Also takes a lot of skill to fly that helicopter like that. I took a lady on a date last weekend to s foreign restaurant.. Taco Bell Got that one from Becker. I really liked the jokes
Thats pretty good. I will tell that one to my son. He works there. It was raining and a little windy when they had that helicopter up there. I was hoping they would do that when I was home. They notified us that they would be doing that but I thought it would be done on a sunny day
