- 2 Trains Pass At Railroad Crossing On CSX. One Train Had A BNSF War Bonnet Locomotive Pulling A Norfolk Southern Train. Train On Indianapolis Sub Hauling Huge Pieces Of Railroad Track Standing Up On Special Flat Cars. These Track Panels Are Railroad Switches. We Also See A Train Coming Around A Tight Curve Next To The Old Train Station Location. Auto Racks Train With DPU is Included And Another Norfolk Southern Train On CSX Is Included. All of the trains in this video are in Hamilton Ohio on the CSX Toledo Sub and one train is on the Indy Sub.
The track in this video is ex Baltimore And Ohio Railroad. The train station that was moved was an old B&O station that sat at the wye. It was moved last year and I filmed it being moved so don't miss that cool video! Norfolk Southern also uses the Toledo Sub. Amtrak also uses the Indy Sub.
Filmed Friday, November 24, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

CSX must be building a Full Scale Christmas Layout with all that Track!😮
When you see things in real life that would look unrealistic on a layout haha
Yeah that was very cool.
I've never seen track sections like that before. Very cool 😎👌
Those last 3 cars, are they used for the rolls of metal?
This next train with the car carriers. It's not always easy to see if they're carrying cars or vehicles or not
You can't see thru them if the lighting isn't just right.😶🌫️😑🙈
Yeah I can't tell if there's vehicles on board or not?
None of these heavy trains had DPU’s! Amazing how two engines can pull all those cars not to mention at speed!!!!!!😊
I know, right?
I have noticed at this particular location the trains are very long.
Anyone get a car count? Ok, from the defect detector, 656 axels minus 2 locomotives (12 axels) = 644 divided by 4 axels per car = 161 rail cars.
I had to pause it and go grab another cup of coffee. 😂
Great video as usual Brian! Thanks for all of your efforts!
The autorack train had a DPU. 29:14.
If they are pulling empties, then 2 are sufficient.
@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars I assume new ones. If they were old ones, it would surely be easier to break them up on site and haul away the parts.
Near Terra Alta, WV , I had the opportunity to see a CSX engine hauling a consist of nothing but CSX engines. Maybe 12 of them. Now that is something you don't see often.
Lots of foreign power, prefab tracks, and Amish neighbors. Good stuff !!!!
Well done my friend, greetings from Brazil.
Thank you very much!
The CSX train was cool. The six cars of track and switches were just awesome! And I loved the blue tank cars, too. A pleasant distraction from the usual black or white cars. The brand new Omni gondolas looked mighty fine themselves. Wonderful catch JT!! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Very interesting and love watching one waiting for another train to pass first. Wow , what a long train. Cool 😊Loved seeing that horse and buggy and your sweet pets. Thank you so much!❤😊
Surprised that one monster manifest had no DPU power , most huge trains do. And catching a train hauling sections of switch tracks and a fake/warbonnet were just plain cool. Nice job JT.
There's a street in Hamilton called Rockford and there is a crossing there where you can see the trains on the Indiana sub go around two curves. I'd recommend it next time you're in town.
Hamilton is a great spot BNSF warbonnet great catch CSX with switching panels awesome catch great video thanks Brian
Those switch panel loads are always an awesome catch 🤘🏻
Definitely!
We have similar wagons here in the UK but I believe that here they get loaded flat and then the mechanism tilts it so that the wagon and panel stay within the loading gauge
The track panel carrying gondolas were interesting. Good catch.
Nice Video. they paved over the unused siding tracks
I have modeled one on my HO scale layout. Glad you pointed it out.
Great video as always! Fantastic! Come on Kathryn Farmer and Warren Buffett! Ms Farmer being the President and CEO of BNSF and Mr Buffett being the owner, they can definitely bring back not only the great warbonnet paint scheme, both the red and silver for intermodal and other hotshots and blue and yellow for everything else, and the Santa Fe name! Get rid of the “stupid orange” to quote Millenniumforce!
That looked like brand new NS power trailing on the second train. I find it amazing how good a black and white engine is when it's brand new!! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
That was a fabulous day NS mixed freight! Long and a great assortment of cars. The new CSX gondolas look really sharp too. Good catch 👍 JT!! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Many thanks!
nice panel turnouts!
The first North-bound train was extremely long for a mixed manifest, as you stated. And I was even surprised at the length of the gondola drag once it got moving. Pretty cool to watch it stop and wait. I've noticed a lot of new, or relatively new, CSX gondolas lately .. and yeah, the load of track panels was a great catch. Overall a great day of railfanning in Hamilton .. Good stuff as always, JT, Thanks.
Wow! Great catch, Brian, thank you.
We went down there over the weekend for a few hrs and caught the same train in Cincinnati.. and then go figure the time we head down south was the same weekend the Canadian pacific Santa train rolls through Northern part of indiana!!
I get excited when i see CSX or NS run through power in my neck of the woods because around here, its all BNSF and UP. The war bonnet is a fairly common unit here, but still pretty neat.
I think I have only seen a couple of war bonnet units this year. Today I got a couple of UP units
@JawTooth UP are my favorite. I think mostly because of their history with the Big Boys, the gas turbines and the Centennial units. I wish they would go back to having custom units built for them, but I understand it doesn't make sense financially anymore.
We need to see more of Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF). More customers need to let the railroads ship their goods, instead of being shipped by truck. Railroads are well diverse at having trains, but extra trailers on trucks that roll on rubber tires are dangerous. I enjoy the American railroad.
Good Morning Brian. Another great video, Have a great day .
With all of the track switches, it looked like an HO MOW train. Lovin’ it!
Never understood why they call them "fake" warbonnets. It's a legitimate heritage scheme on a real locomotive, what's fake about it? Some excellent action on this one, liked it a lot. Thanks JT!
The "non-fake" version says "Santa Fe" rather than BNSF. Not sure if it counts as a heritage scheme. The locomotives were ordered by Santa Fe just before the merger with BN. When they came up for delivery, they opted to keep the paint scheme, but letter them for BNSF.
Great Catches
The second and third track panel cars were originally Autoracks. They removed the racks, made alterations to the deck and gave them new reporting marks (CTXX). The raised deck above the drawbar was the give away. I used to load cars into Autoracks, before I was hired as a Conductor on BNSF back in 2001.
Nice of the 2nd train waiting for the traffic to clear before proceeding.
Wow - 9674 probably not long for this earth as a Dash-9 before it gets rebuilt to an AC44-C6M. A fake-bonnet in Ohio and an SD70ACu... what a consist! Great catch!
Wow.. 2 vids! Thanks Brian...
WOW!!!! Pre-fabricated train parts, large pieces of multiple different shapes and sizes!! I've never seen it done quite like that before, WAY cool!! Sacramento Paul saying hello, great content today for REAL, and thanks!
Wow, two videos in one day. We're not worthy!
Well, now we have seen how rail switches are shipped. That was definitely Cool!
awesome war bonnet
Awesome video my friend! Have a nice day! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
I like the red and gray BNSF power. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
An excellent mixed freight led by UP power! Long and interesting. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thank you very much!
I always loved the rugged look of an old clunky, grimy, rusty, punctured wall, metal bulging, sagging, beat down and bent up old gondola with an old railroad line sill barely visible painted in it.
That SD70-ACu behind the Bonnet was Impressive. Probably one of those Rebuilds or something…
The second engine on that first train is an ex Santa Fe one turned into a BNSF one. Burlington Northern & Santa Fe merged together & made BNSF.
Actually that's one of the several BNSF Dash 9s ordered in the former ATSF scheme, it's not patched and was never an ATSF locomotive. BNSF kept using the Warbonnet from ATSF and the Grinstein aka Executive scheme from BN until they designed their own Heritage I scheme.
@@cp368productions2 loox cool. 🚂👍
Really great group of trains. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Enjoyed the video. Love those meets
Glad you enjoyed
CSX manifest with side panel cars hauling track panels was loaded down, nice SF warbonnet and footage!🛤🚂
Cool, thanks!
Incredible long trains..
The third train looked as if models train . American railroad is very deep and broad . I'm glad and admire .Thank you very much .
Thank you very much! Today I got a fast train going by a horse. The horse was in a fence by the railroad. Have a great week!
Hooray! JawTooth is on the railroad scene once again, right where he belongs. This is the King of the iron rails! I would like more goods to be shipped by rail, instead of the paved road as before. JawTooth, I bid you Happy Railroading! Your camera shots are clean, clear, concise, to the point, and showstopping!
thank you very much!
@@JawTooth You are welcome. Keep those trains running!
I think curve shots are some of the best! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thanks for the video Jawtooth. I caught my Christmas present of some new switch tracks being delivered for my train set, Thanks.😀
Happy holidays! That would be a huge layout lol
BNSF 4916 is a GE Dash 9 44CW, delivered in a batch of 65 units from 10/97 to 5/98.
Yeah I looked it up. It has quite the history all over the country.. Nice to see it's still being used.
Super video JT! Thanks 👍 for sharing. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
The train stopped just before the crossing, with the gates already down. Later, cars can be seen crossing from a distance. I can't work out whether these cars forced their way through, or whether the gates were opened in case the train stopped for a long time.
The gates will go back up if the train stops short of the crossing.
You had a good railfanning day in Hamilton, Ohio on 24 November 2023, Jae Tooth! All the trains were mixed freight trains with a variety of freight cars except for that Norfolk Southern gondola car train. I would be interested in knowing the Norfolk Southern train number of this train if anyone knows its train number. You moved around to several locations in Hamilton, Ohio on this day. The BNSF engine with the red war bonnet is getting to be a rare sighting. You were in the right place at the right time to capture that engine.
Awesome catches and video jaw tooth
Hey jaw tooth great job catching trains . One train with track switches was interesting. Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
Thanks! You too!
You'd have a fun time out filming this morning! 🥶
Hamilton always delivers. Liked that bnsf engine, only thing better would've been one with Santa Fe on it. That last train with 2 UP, and a bnsf was pretty cool also. Awesome catches. Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Awesome catch with the santa fe locomotive. All those trains were very long.
Thank you very much!
Awesome
Twice in a day
Fabulous
GREAT catch of that train with all of those switches, JT. I have never seen ANYTHING like that before! 👍👍
Hey Jawtooth, did you know that many on the mainline tracks on this part of the country are originally New York Central? The Succeeding railroads that use them primarily are at the time, D & H, CP, and now NS.
Primarily CSX uses former NYC tracks, NS has some former NYC trackage and Amtrak has the NEC section. D&H and CP never had NYC trackage.
Nice Video!
🌾🌲🇮🇳🌲🌾
Interesting. Track Panels on that train.
That is the most that I have ever seen at one time on a train
Great video, been a long time since I have seen track panels being moved.
That was cool, the beginning when the train stopped, 2 tracks, the other train came.🆒
Somewhere some RR Division Superintendent and his Roadmaster are getting their Christmas presents requiring several railroad cars to deliver those new track panels and switches. Figured it was worth checking out and the CTXX Flats belong to Cleveland Track Mfg. Which is now a division of Progressive Rail and judging by the routing was coming from the Memphis TN plant. Assisting were the HPTX Hampton Financial Capital Leasing Gons which were of course greatly outnumbered by the NS mega all gon train. True to form 2 of the CSX trains had the usual JRSX potato reefers and for a special marking check out the first CSX train with 6 coal hoppers near the front. You'll see a stencil in white paint marked HBO Class Repair and 11-23. Headed off to a storage location where they will be sorted and after money is allocated hopefully become part of a class repair program. JT certainly was at the right place at the right time for all of these goodies!
BNSF Warbonnet yes for sure nice catch they are getting rarer and rarer to see
Wow the gondolas too !
Switchtracks on them
- kool--
THE LONGEST GONDOLA TRAIN I HAVE EVER SEEN,,,,, EXCELLENT SWITCHING UNITS CATCH,,,,, I SEE THAT NEW N--S 7263 AND SOME FOREIGN POWER UNITS,,,,, GREAT CATCH JAWTOOTH 💯👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much!
Fantastic video as always JT!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Many thanks!
Switch panels: So that's one good way to do it. Thanks!
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! 👍✨✨🙏
Never seen a load like those track panels before.. pretty cool stuff
Dont know how i missed this gem JT & in Hamilton too! Where the train action always is. Fab seeing N/S & CSX in the same place. ❤😊👍
Thank you very much!
Love those long trains. Seeing one train stop and wait for the other one to pass is interesting to me. 😊 I really enjoyed this video. Union Pacific locomotives are cool with the American flag mural. ❤ Love your fur babies. Thank you so much.❤😊
Great video Brian! We were just down the way in the parking lot and got that and everything else that day!
That is awesome! There was also another Railfan who wound up watching trains with me
Jaw Tooth, been watch your video from time to time and it is awesome what you do. Keep doing what you do. Thank you.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. See you soon for the next one.
Hey Jawtooth I have to say your videos always have different and interesting things in them, still need more switchers.
I appreciate that!
🚂Breakfast with Jawtooth. 🚂👍
Wow those were some long trains
Long auto rack train. 😊❤
YOU SURE LOVE going to Hamilton, Ohio! Sure would be fun to meet you some day
That was cool carry aloy of track
Some of those gondolas look like they're "sagging" on first train. Nice catches.
They are a little bit. Probably getting worn out
Some of the older ones do, yes. Couple of really bad ones on the second train.
Video caught your self santa fe red silver warbonnet very nice paint job in bnsf
Hope ya cranked up the heat in the car ‘tooth! Another great video!
Awesome catching the Santa Fe locomotive. 🙂
Thank you very much!
That last northbound was moving right along for being in town.
I hope they stay on the tracks lol
Tunnelton,wv when I was a kid ,was out with parents and we saw 6 big CXS units , coming from grafton wv to roweslburg wv,then to Terra Alta. That was awesome 👍😎😊😊😊
I live outside of Chicago near "The Berwyn Racetrack", a BNSF fright line with freight, Amtrak (The Zephyr) , and Matra transit service. 3 tracks. In addition to BNSF power, I also see NS, CSX, even UP & CP on these trains, which often are often slowing to enter / stop/ split or slowly just departing the nearby Cicero Intermodal Yard. We also have a CP line running through town.
More great train catches. Love the variety of locations you have.
Thank you very much!
Always plenty of trains action in Hamilton JT. Looked a beautiful day. ❤😊
You got that right!
@@JawTooth 😊👍
Wow! Really nice freight trains!
Keep the videos coming. I really enjoy them.
Thanks, will do!
Okay those track panels were really cool. Like me building my back yard railway. Awesome sighting. Great job.
Thanks 👍
Last night while my sister and I were on the way home from the store, I had a cool train experience. There is a long segment of CSX track that closely parallels most of our route home, with the track finally taking a sharp turn away beneath an overpass. I noticed that there was a freight train alongside us for a good bit, then as we passed a clearing approaching the overpass I could see that we were catching up to the locomotive. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the brightly lit locomotive was functioning as a mid-train DPU. Better yet, I could tell that it was going to pass close beneath us as we went over the bridge. Sure enough, it came screaming out from under the bridge beneath us just as we passed overhead. I had my passenger window open, so I could look directly down at it as the roar filled the car for a few seconds. My non-railfan sister and cousin just thought it was an annoying loud noise, but I thought it was awesome. Of course, I had to come watch some train videos after that experience.
Really liking the longer trains 🚂
Good catch got 4trains all long ti.I got to see CSX trains got to see them use a newly lengthen siding.First train had 4 locomotives pulling a long train.Which is unusual cause CSX trains around hete has just 2 locomotives most of the time.Nest came a intetmodel train .Nest time take you some coffie or film from your car if you can.I don't like being cold or seeing anyone cold ether.
Thanks for watching! Sometimes I film from the car but it's hard to get the shot. I got some hand warmers yesterday that will help
Great catch on the BNSF unit.
Thanks!
That was coo the track switches.
Great action!
