    Just got my pdp yesterday, was able to put 100 shots through it and can't imagine ever changing its wonderful trigger. By far the best feeling full size trigger I've ever felt. Also, the red loctite is mainly for permanent hold at very high torque.

    • @GhostDragon907
      @GhostDragon907 Před 2 lety

      I have the v4.5" full size PDP and although the stock PDT trigger is very good and better than most, the Walther enhances any upgrades. I bought the Overwatch Precision top end direct replacement for $200 and you can definitely tell a difference. With the stock PDP PDT trigger I could rapid fire quickly, now I look like a movie star firing so fast 18 rounds is gone before you can imagine.
      Talk aboit a race car 9mm
      It is quicker than my CZ Shadow and just about even with my FK BRNO 7.5 with a 9mm barrel

      @@GhostDragon907 you must be a damn good shot! I honestly can't imagine going any faster with the recoil from the pdp when it's in balance of the trigger pull. I've almost got it down but still need alot of practice to truly get in sinc with the pdp's recoil to trigger pull ratio. At 10 yards I can keep maybe a semi-decent 4" group when shooting as fast and as accurate as the recoil will let me but I have to death grip it. I can definitely fire MUCH faster than when I'm trying to be as accurate as possible but I end up getting tons of muzzle rise to the point where it's almost off paper.

      @@TerminalM193 my PDP has the benefit of the following upgrades that allow very fast flat shooting of even 147gr 9mm loads:
      -Walther 50N tungsten guiderod
      -Overwatch Precision DAT trigger
      -Taylor Freelance brass backstrap
      -Taylor Freelance comp mag base plates.
      The added weight of the 50N and brass plus the super trigger is flawless.
      I will post video showing the above and the new Taylor Freelance comp mag well being custom fit this week

      @@GhostDragon907 I thought about getting that guide rod! Honestly though, did you notice a difference when using the tungsten guide rod? It's rather exspensive and I would like to be sure that it's atleast going to help me somehow. Also, with the heavy guide rod does your pdp still feed and chamber properly? Is the upgrade as easy as just throwing it in where the original is? Thx for the response btw! Also, from my understanding, shouldn't a heavier grain round like the one you mentioned give less recoil impact than a 115g round? I watched a video the other day explaining how smaller grain rounds will cause slightly more recoil because the rounds are able to be expelled from the pistol at a much higher velocity and force. I'm still very green and I'm learning every day so this all could be wrong from the video and my "green-Ness" can't discern the difference just yet.

    • @GhostDragon907
      @GhostDragon907 Před 2 lety +1

      @@TerminalM193 my advice would be to buy it and you will observe better accuracy first clip.
      Lighter grain bullets usually have less kick as the gun recoils less due to less weight trying to be ejected out of the barrel. The heavier the bullet usually requires more energy to move out so perceived recoil is greater. Some light weight bullets have huge powder loads like a 9mm +p+ round where you will definitely feel increased recoil. More weight in the pistol equal more absorbed engery by the gun resulting in less felt recoil. The tungsten guide rod ads weight were most effectively reduced muzzle flip also perceived as recoil.
      Hope thats as clear as mud lol sorry if its confusing.

    I hate to be “that guy” and be overly critical, but using red Loctite isn’t normally recommended for sights. Blue is was most gunsmiths use these days. Also, the replacement sights don’t look tall enough for that red dot.

    • @Shadow__133
      @Shadow__133 Před 5 měsíci +2

      Agree on both, the blue stuff and the weird front sight. That said, the scs optics cowitness 1/3 with 0.17" tall (from slide) 43x sights, factory whites are 0.19" and anything higher will take away real space from an already tiny window.

    • @dougt5357
      @dougt5357 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Go right ahead and be 'that guy'! You are totally spot on! Noted the same things (and I'm not some gun genius). Also, no locktite on the screws holding the RDS in place and no torque applied. This would be the last guy I'd take my gun to for mods. He also seems to go out of his way to bad mouth the trigger (that every single other reviewer I have seen RAVES about!) just so he can justify the installation of the Walther replacement trigger.

      And isn't Medium strength Blue? I only know red and blue. BUT I will say that I have put a few sets of XS sights on a couple P365 and they use Red as well but it is not on threaded screws, it's to secure the sights to the slide (odd). Do you think you can use red because of less surface area the red doesn't secure like it would to screws with larger threads?
