  • Steve Ostrem is joined by Jacob Herman from Night Fision, who tells us about the special features of his company's sights and guides Steve through installation on a Glock® pistol. The Tritium inserts on Night Fision sights are larger than other night sights, and the gas is under 30% higher pressure (yes, Tritium is a gas!), resulting in extra bright, easier-to-acquire sight dots. The inserts are secured in the machined steel sight body by a ballistic polymer cup with fluorescent material molded right into the polymer (no paint here) to generate bright luminescent rings around the Tritium dots.

Ive been a. 22LR shooter for years. I finally bought an AR.
I put magpul offset pro iron sights on it while I wait for the optic I ordered in the mail
It was hard to see the front iron at the indoor range.
I tried painting the post with glow on that I had laying around, but, it doesn't stay very bright for very long.
I decided to order one of your replacement posts. Looking forward to trying it!

Don't fall for the salsetalk on how bright the yellow ring is.... I got night fision stealth ready low witness to go with my Walther 4.5 pdp as a backup to my holosun 507c. Went with clear back and yellow front and when the optic is on in the daytime with high light source I'm able to really see the yellow only because of the contrast from the red optic. If I turn the optic off it's like the front yellow iron gets turned off right along with it..... It's still visible but just barley so.... Plenty enough for a prscticed user would have no issues but I would maybe worry about someone who threw the irons on and never went out for proper practice which sadly is more people than you would like to think. I don't regret my choice either.... I just wish they had some other colors or styles to chose from when it comes to their low witness series for glock/Walther.... Your only choices are like a orange/red, yellow, or clear. Would love to see blue fronts atleast since it's some of their most exspensive sets....
