    Hi, Del. Another home run of a video. Quite the struggle. When that puller exploded the first time, I thought for sure the hub had shattered. As a side note, when pulling a sulky the wheel spacing determines the turning radius. Have a great week! We are pullin' for ya!

    Hey Buddy, Thanks so much for the video!!!! That's probably the roughest axle I've seen. I agree with you, cleaning and greasing the axle ahead of the hub before pulling it would cut your pulling time in half. That 5 ton pulley puller was awesome !!! I'm glad the hub didn't break on you. I've chipped cast metal from David Bradleys before. I've been watching your videos on Firestick which doesn't leave opportunity for comments but I have been giving you thumbs up on the awesome videos you have been sharing !!!!! thanks again!!!

    I really like your gear puller, we could use a puller like that. We have had the same issue on some of our garden tractors but we found that it is usually a sign that the gearbox oil seal is not leaking. Great job getting the hubs off

    Hey I know what that’s like trying to get stuck things off of a shaft. I worked on our mixer at work and we had to put it in a hydraulic press and we got to over 100 thousand psi before it finally broke free. Most of the time heat works great but not in our case. Heat and penetrating oil also works pretty good too. I love that puller you’ve got. That’s so much better than the screw type. Awesome job brother. 👍👍

    • @inthebackyardwithdel438
      @inthebackyardwithdel438  Před rokem

      Hello Mr Don , I had gotten the key ways out and put Kroil oil in the slots and turned the slots to 12 o’clock position and heated them hoping it would possibly leach around the axle but that didn’t work either . I had the screw type puller but had to get the hydraulic one . Thanks for watching .

    Nice work and good video. I was concerned that the flange on the hub was going to break. I just went through this on a DB Super Power. Didn't have the gear puller but it sure would have helped. I used heat and light taps with a hammer with wood to cushion the blow.
