  • What is EVPN ? EVPN is a technology for carrying layer 2 Ethernet traffic as a virtual private network using wide area network protocols. EVPN technologies include Ethernet over MPLS and Ethernet over VXLAN. EVPNs are covered by a number of Internet RFCs, including RFC 7432 and RFC 8365. VPLS (Virtual Private LAN Services) is a Layer 2 VPN technology that allows geographically dispersed sites to appear as a single bridged LAN. It provides a transparent and secure network extension, enabling seamless communication between different locations. Throughout the video, we will explore the inner workings of VPLS, its benefits, and its application in creating bridged networks across distributed sites.
    On the other hand, EVPN (Ethernet Virtual Private Network) is an advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN solution that combines the benefits of VPLS with the scalability and flexibility of the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). EVPN leverages BGP to distribute MAC (Media Access Control) and IP routing information, allowing for more efficient and dynamic network connectivity.     Hi Sabby, it would be nice if you teach sessions with hands-on lab. You are a plethora of knowledge , demonstrating based on live use-cases would make difference for sure.otherwise its mundane and hard to keep interest throughout the nugget.
