I like the all black look, but I think the purple is my favorite color choice. I would also love to see a dark blue.

Colorware did a classic ps grey and custom grey controller. They look reaaally good! A lil bit expensive but unique

The fact that there is no gray is an absolute shame. I get that they might wanna keep it for some retro edition instead but a gray matt option would sell as well as black.
The purple one is actually just so perfect for Playstation. As someone who grew up playing Spyro, that's instantly what I thought of after seeing it

Purple and red are definitely the best colors, of course you can never go wrong with black. Personally I’m going with Dbrands black design. I’ve always preferred that kind of purple color, though for the controllers cosmic red looks hella dope.
Those mixed colors give me Nintendo Switch vibes in a good way.
I just purchased the purple and yhe contreoller, by far the best colour, reminds me of the gamecube

I have the black dbrand 2.0 with the center being matte black and I LOVE it! I also picked up the pink and blue controllers.

Nice video, before you choose one of these Sony made plates make sure you visit darkplates 2.0 four different colors, curved contour at the top to match the center design and reduce height, led color strip lighting options, right and left fan cut outs with mesh screens to breathe a bit better 👍

As Kevin Kenson mentioned not confusing pink with the red, the bottom half of the system with the pink DOES look red 😂
my favorite plates are the cosmic red along with the red controller
I have the black covers and I put black vinyl webs and a white Spider-Man symbol on the top cover.

I don't care what colors Sony offers. It's not worth $55 for injection molded plaster covers. The material cost to Sony is inexpensive and it's not a difficult process to make them. At most, maybe $25. $30 if they would add extra ventilation holes over the cooling fan like Debrand covers do. $55 is a rip off. I can just recolor my original plates for far cheaper.
If anyone's curious, I found some plates on Amazon for $35 that's the same original shape, and has ventilation holes like Debrand. Not leaving a link for Sony to find but just do a quick search. Easy to find. Has high ratings too. The comments were all positive on it. I couldn't care less about paying twice the price just for Sony's logo on them.

Exactly! It's near the same cost as a new dualsense too which I had to just buy a replacement because sony uses the same ps4 joystick components in ps5 controllers knowing they get stick drift quickly and people need a replacement. I'm fine spending money. I'm not fine wasting money.
@@tinystar3010 my original dual sense has a little bit of stick drift but I have the cosmic red for back up, it’s dumb that we have to worry about that
Supposedly there's a new batch, if the back part number says AK8CFIZCT1A then its supposed to be slightly more robust internally to last longer. If it's AK8CFIZCT1 without the final A on the end, its the original internals. Luckily my replacement has the A on the end.
My ps5 has the left side (PlayStation logo side) black and the disc player side galactic purple. 👌

Although it looks good I'm kind of over all black consoles cause the damn things attract dust like a magnet. Purple did look good though, but get me a nice grey or silver and I'll be happy.

The Matte purple is nice, but for me I would go for a Starlight blue, when I actually get my hands on PS5
Keep the purple over the disc an the black plate on the top it could be a little ps2 throwback combo
Also, I’d like to see classic PS1 grey and maybe the colors in their logo- yellow, blue, red, green.

I love the purple controller..it really looks amazing..might be fun to mix the red and starlight blue to make it close to the switch default red blue look 🤪. Hope to see more collector edition then just plain colors though!

That blue would look good if the black accents were changeable, to a dark blue preferably
Still prefer dbrand ps5 plates
And Debrand now offers ventilation holes directly over the ps5 cooling fan. Adds more functionality than the Sony plates.
