- Thanks to @PlayStation for gifting me the Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle to unbox and review! Spider-Man 2 for PS5 is coming out soon, and Sony has already released a bunch of special edition stuff to celebrate it! Here's me unboxing the Spider-Man 2 PS5, taking a look at the special covers and DualSense controller, and then even comparing it the original Spider-Man PS4 Pro that I still have!

I think it’s amazing that you can now have a special edition system without having to buy an entire new console
But you still have to pay 60 dollars for 2 pieces of plastic🙄.
@@sush4nz1...74 I get what you mean but people pay to customize the look of their systems out there already. I personally don’t think it’s a bad thing but I do think Sony should make it easier to get
That’s what I did. Got the plates and controller so I basically have the special edition without coughing up 600 dollars

@@sush4nz1...74take it or leave it. This is one of the more generous drops for it. If you have 500 dollars for the PS5, you probably have 60 dollars for a customizable faceplate. Whether or not you choose to buy it is up to you 👍🏾
I do love that PlayStation/Sony has stuck with the idea of both having a special edition console while also releasing both the plates and controller separately so that people that don’t get the special edition console can still customise their own one they already have.
There was this worry for awhile that people thought that like usual the only way someone can even get the “look” of a special edition consoles was either get the actual special edition console or buy a skin from 3rd party which normally are inferior to the actual console, but because plates are a think with the PS5 people were hoping for that that trend will finally stop and behold it has now and people can still buy only one console and then deck it out looking like a special edition without buying a brand new console

I get liking the red more, but there's literally storytelling involved between these two consoles. The symbiote is literally taking over the PS4 version, and the result is the PS5 which... isn't as vibrant as you'd like... because darkness is taking over...
I agree with the critique of having the logo just as big as the PS4 because it would help with the idea that the PS5 IS the result of a PS4 being takin over by the symbiote
I had that Spiderman Pro. It looked amazing but it was glossy and would get scratched and marked even just wiping it gently with a micro fibre cloth! For that reason, I would give my vote to the new one.
I’m definitely going to buy the covers and the controller for my PS5. Those colors just look amazing.
Hate to break it to you but the plates sold out 1 month ago when they were available for pre-order

The controller is clean i love it
The only thing I would’ve changed for the controller is adding more detail to the white buttons and then making the red be on the back of the controller too.
That’s what I’m doing, I ordered red buttons on eBay to replace the white

The Spiderman PS4 Pro edition definately looks a lot better. I just love the red and white aesthetic more
The PS5 edition looks lack luster, while the PS4 pro looks like they put some thought into it.
I think we all have the same mind I think more red should’ve been on the controller as it is on the plates but it’s still good looking 👍🏾.

My only problem I keep repeatedly saying in these videos is everyone keep saying you don't have to buy the console to get the plates. They are not restocking the plates the only way to get them now if you did not buy them originally is getting ripped off on eBay or buying the bundle
That's with everything bro...preorders started like over a month ago. I myself even waited late up until 2 weeks ago and still managed to snag them off the Sony website and delivered straight to my house release date. You snooze you lose

Is the hardware or anything underneath the plates different from a regular PS5? For instance, a special decal hidden underneath.

I miss my Spider-Man PS4 and will definitely get the ps5 plates but have no plans of paying more than retail.
I honestly like the PS5’s design better.
I never cared to order a special/limited edition. But I wish I had pre ordered this one. It's the best looking console. It's a solid 10, while the PS4 version is like 4.
they couldve made a big venom spider logo on the black side and put it in the middle, in my opinion i think it would look better

The only thing limited about this edition is it comes in that box. If I just go out and buy the controller and covers, I have the exact same machine

I got the controller but I didn’t set the plates because I wish that it had the venom logo on the black plate.

I really like the PS4 Pro console. I have it in my bedroom. I had the chance of getting the faceplates from my friend but decided against it. I can delete my controller preoder. I liked it initially but ended up not liking the PS5 style.

Sadly my Spider-Man ps4 pro is a paper weight due to a dead power supply, and have been trying to find a replacement for months.
I’m sorry black and red looks better than red and white. Really digging the new design. Wishing they would’ve done GoW plates with custom design.
Billion dollar compnay yet all we get is sum red paint splat on one side smh. Its cool but they def went the cheap route.
I really hope they're able to get those console covers restocked, because I did not have the money when those things first dropped. 😭

Impossible even if you stay awake 24/7 you will still get them stolen from your carts thanks to bots/scalpers

Does anyone think that the ps5 limited edition covers for spiderman 2 is a "bit" overhyped? The console plates and controller are like 72% solid black with the bottom corner red and two peter Spidey logos. They didn't even throw in miles or venom. I felt like they could've made the design more evenly unique.

I just got my Spider-Man PS5 on on September 6th 2023 just this year and I and I really like it I like the box but I haven't opened it up yet your video is so great is giving me an idea about I want to open it up so bad to plug it up and and play a couple games I want to try the Final Fantasy on my PS5 and I really want to try the Spider-Man game be made for the PS5 the one they recently made cuz I know they're possibly coming out one that comes with the Spider-Man PS5 and I got that and I can't wait to play it and I cannot wait for the Mortal Kombat 12 come out and I just preorder the Mortal Kombat 1 Mortal Kombat 1 comes out comes out on 14th of this year this year 2023 it comes out September 14th 2023👍🎮🎮🤔👍🎮🎮🎮
The Ps5 Spiderman 2 edition Consol is to expensif in Europa because it cost 659,99 € with the Game But digital and the normal one cost 450 € + 80€ for the Game is stil cheaper ITS total 530 € and If you brought the Spiderman Covers for 65 € you stil spend less Money IT would be 595€
For my Ps5 i put some skins one IT and IT Looks awesome.
I picked mine up yesterday and I wish they would've went around the back with the red on the right side of the controller.

The Spider-Man ps4 pro definitely looks way better. I think they had a cool idea with the design of the Spider-Man 2 ps5 but it wasn't executed that great imo. When i buy a limited edition console i want the console and controller to stand out, they should've swapped the black and red sides imo. More red would've looked beautiful, i still bought the bundle and controller bc i am a huge Spider-Man fan. Only thing that sucks is that now it has to sit inside the box until Oct 20th lol

So I picked this up, and the digital download of the game wouldn’t even allow me to type in the code and download it for pre install, do we have to wait until October 20th to even type in code and download it?? If anyone knows who picked this up let me know please and thank you!

Well, this was disappointing. It's only nice looking from one side. It forces you to setup your ps5 in one specific position.
