This is really good. Your channel is criminally undersubscribed
This is criminally underrated
Good video.
I would put a fifth reason for Roman decline during these 50 years: gone were the days of Caesar facing a multitude of little tribes, now we have strong federations.
Marcus Aurelius was the first to face this problem, but now they can use the political instability to challenge Rome, even if not on equal terms (yet).
Rome can and will still win, but without walled cities nor fortresses, invasion will do a lot of damage. Ask gallienus about that
Finally, on the east the sassanids are much stronger then the Persians, as we've seen.
Tl dr: 5th reason: enemies are much stronger
Great points. But I wonder if rome enemies just appear stronger because Rome was weaker
We need to see more movies and series about this turbulent period
Holy shit i think this is the only video where someone mentions Societal, and environmental changes as a cause for the third century and how those in turn, affected the political climate of the empire. Its a shame that such factors are viewed as "secondary" in a lot of other historical videos, because ALL factors matter when discussing history. Anyways , ima binge this seires real quick...

Use BC and AD - CE and BCE are lame.
BCE - Before Christ’s Era.
CE - Christ’s Era.
Secularism always loses
