  • Today I will walk you through the installation of the Rear Rack for the Coleman CT200U EX Mini Bike. I considered building one of these racks myself, but after realizing that the bottom support brackets are actually held up by a lengthened rear axle, I found that it is much easier to just buy the darn thing. I am really glad that I did! This thing's freakin' tough! Be sure to watch the whole thing so you don't miss any jokes!

    Mike was nice enough to send me the other bracket so I could mount my rack. Go power sports doesn’t include any hardware or brackets when you order the rack from them. I should read before I order. I would have ordered it from Coleman, but with Mikes bracket, it work out fine and some other fabrication 😊

      I appreciate the kind words John. If anyone is in the same pickle concerning this bracket, I can probably either make a drawing of it or at least get the dimensions and rough angles, thickness of metal, etc to make your own bracket like this. Thanks to all for watching.

      Oh that's cool. These racks seem uncommon for the ct200u-ex. Lots of places sell the rack, but I haven't seen any other than Coleman that includes all of the pieces needed. I had no idea that the longer axle was a must so I lucked out with this one. I would ordinarily include an Amazon link for the main thing in the video, but they don't sell the complete kit. I will be doing some other mods which I will post.

    @10:59 I believe you installed that bracket with 4 bolts wrong, it should face the opposite direction to make the rack higher and more forward which should level it with the bike.

      Thanks for watching Mark! I hadn't looked into the front rack as of yet. I might make a video on its installation in the future. There's a link that I left in one of the other comments for the Coleman Powersports website. That would be my best advice at the moment to see if they have the longer axle. I bought my rear rack from them, and they included all of the necessary parts, but I think that they might sell the axles and spacers separately. Let me know if this helps you.

      Hi Phil. I bought mine in May of this year. Amazon has them, but it looks like they don't include the supports or the longer axle. Here's the link for the rack itself :
      amzn.to/3rOBO6k
      And this is the supports that go to the axle ;
      amzn.to/3lqcRNd
      As for the axle itself, this 321mm axle is what you need :
      amzn.to/2VncoAX
      You'll also need the two extra spacers, which I can't find on Amazon, and I think that you can probably use the existing 14mm nut on your bike, as this axle does not seem to come with one. It looks more expensive, but Coleman socked me close to 20 dollars shipping, totalling my order at around 58 dollars. I hope that this helps you out.

The kicker comes when you put in your shipping info for UPS Ground (the only option). For me, living 30 miles south of Atlanta, the shipping was $34.95! (!!!!!!) Thank you Joe Biden. @@themostlymikeshow2582 Hey Mike, at the very least, thanks for the inspiration. I have a CT200U-EX and I thought the rear rack wold a be a sweet and functional addition. And for maybe 50 bucks I could justify it ...but not for $75 ...especially for a subpar assembly made in China. Something that's caught my attention is the amount of replacement parts that are NLA (no longer available) on the Coleman parts website. I don't know if this is just a "supply chain" problem or Coleman marketing cutting their losses on the minibike market. But there are a *LOT* of parts listed as NLA for the CT200-EX ...as well as many of the other bikes. Frame assemblies are NLA for many of the models ...so if you bend one up, you better figure how to unbend it because buying a new frame is not in the equation anymore.
