Oh my goodness, when I clicked on this video I was just expecting a body of water in the Nether with maybe an island and that's it. I did NOT expect you to go sooo much further by populating everything with life including a Village. This would've been impressive in CREATIVE, I can't imagine the amount of time and dedication to do this in Hardcore. Hats off to you truly

I recall doing this a decade ago with my friends, we made a whole track in the nether, mined a bunch of ice to make water obstacles in the nether and race eachother on pigs with a stick. Then we went outside and the loser got someone kick a football against their ass.

The fact that minecraft world generation breaks when changing versions gave me an interesting idea for a mechanic in a game. In this game the protagonist is trapped in a matrix and to fulfill certain objectives you must change between versions of this matrix and take advantage of bugs to pass through blocked parts of the map, pass through places where certain enemies do not exist in certain versions, the possibilities are endless. If someone makes a game like this, I would love to play.
This might possibly be the most impressive build in hardcore ever.

1:42 My theory is, the water freezing over is due to the update where they added biomes, and that update affected old generated chunks. Causing some oak biomes to act like snowy biomes and vice versa.
Yeah it’s just biome identities being switched. Still have a few worlds that has the same glitch from over a decade ago now. How time flies!

You could also have done it with one 1.19 snapshot, where it was possible to get water by placing glow vines in lava.
Or did I do a mistake and it was 1.17? I couldn't find videos of that in 1.19.x, only in 1.17.x, where the glow vines were newly added. More specifically the bug was in Snapshot 21w03a.

the best part of this video was the what i call the ‘fishing for cod and eating it out of context’ scene.
i think an interesting challenge would be trying to beat the ender dragon without crafting anything, just relying entirely on villagers and stuff you pick up
Too easy
The only challenge is without crafting right?
1st step: find a village
2nd: make villager breeder
3nd: invest the village so you can have max level toolsmith, weapon Smith and armorer for full enchanted diamond armor, also enchanted book from village and use anvil from village blacksmith so you have perfect enchanted armour
For all of the necessary building let just use dirt since who cares, until you can get tool from toolsmith you pretty much only can work with hands means you can't break stone yet.
Gear up
Enchanted sword from weapon smith
Enchanted bow from fishing
Enchanted Fish rod from villager fisherman
Arrow from fletcher
Now for potion
Find cleric villager, get his brewing stand, find some witch get bottles or just fishing so you have bottle, go to nether fortress to find blaze powder from fortress loot chest and netherward to make potion
(Note you can find obsidian from villager blacksmith including bucket too so you have 2 ways to build a nether portal, lightning it up can be done using bucket of lava and some plank near portal)
Just make necessary ones
Slow falling (phantom membrane)
Regeneration for sure (golden carrots from master farmer villager)
Now with all of that you can defeat enderdragon without crafting
The hardest part will be finding each necessary workbench block for necessary villager since a village won't always have everything
And since you can't craft, means you can't get fermented spider eyes for potion weaknesses to cure villager, meaning only raids will help you decreasing the villager trades number.
Only "cheat" Part from this is using world seed that has fully turned on end portal since generated, i don't remember if there's any loot chest that has eye of ender nor villager trades so to make it possible. So using a seed that already has turned on the end portal, you can get to fight the enderdragon.
