Great work! Interesting top 5. A couple things about Fierceness.....He got an easy lead in 24 seconds, and basically was left to do do whatever he wanted after that. Also, it's highly likely he won't get such an easy trip in the Derby. He may face a few bumps and may have to race stalking or in between horses, in trafic. For these reasons, I think he won't win. Your analysis is making me think twice about Forever Young's chances!
So if Fierceness didn't get the easy lead, maybe he wins by 5 instead of 13? And he doesn't need the lead to win. I'm not saying he'll win, I'm saying he's a solid pick and he's one of the horses that has shown he can win the Kentucky Derby.
@@question_it_701 exactly he sat off the pace in the Breeders Cup and drew off from the best 2 year olds at the time. I had him to win at huge. odds. 😉
@@question_it_701 So far when he has not got an easy lead he's finished third and next to last. He's got a target on his back and the other jockeys are not going to give Velazquez a free ride.
No Dornach? The lead change will be the key for Dornach to race his best. I would like to see him hook up again with Sierra Leone, look him in the eye, and show his turn of foot. We’ve seen the speed so getting him to rate off the speed and burn by it on the turn for home would set Dornach up well for the Derby.
You said this American crop is weak, and that this Derby, without the Bafferts will be the weakest,. So, did CD, by banning Baffert's horses, weaken their product? It's still THE Derby, no doubt but should the winner have an asterisk in the record books? Most True champions beat the best. and if the Japanese horse wins, it validates their industry as world class.
I think Japan has Done a great job building their product but without the baffert horses I do question how deep the American crop is this year but the combination of both factors make forever young really dangerous this year.
Sierra Leone good closer and I’d the one I’m ranking 1 and rooting for. Chad Brown is Derby due anyways would like to see Tyler G get a Derby win too
Forever young for the derby win!!!!
I like his chances
Forever young will be Forever Old after the Derby no better than fourth or fifth position for him end of story
Good analysis!
Thank you

Thank you. And of course fierceness would do something like win the florida derby by 13 lengths and add more drama to the derby picture lol

Is Fierceness another Ballamy Road who won by 17 lengths before the Derby who didnt hit the board back in 2005?😮

If he wins bluegrass he will be there
Birdstone won the Champagne, beat Smarty Jones. The issue with Timberlake is he isn't fast enough.
Shippers never show up on derby day . Forever young will be forever last . Throw dornoch in there

Fiercness then the others. Endlessly for 2nd.
If fierceness brings his A effort I agree
All the way! Secretariat-like finish!
Fierceness will not only win but he’ll cross the wire in about 2:00-
Fiercest should be in tri Fecta
You must think your watchers/listeners know more than you when you say "YOU KNOW" 60 times in a 7 minute clip describing 5 horses!
Dornach will win the Bluegrass and the Kentucky Derby 🎉
I'm personally going with Sierra Leone but It wouldn't shock me if dornoch won
