One of the most intelligent statements I heard when I was just getting going in racing about 60 years ago (1964) was this,: “just remember, the horse is not a motorcycle.” I don’t think we’re going to see fierceness for a long time. He obviously has terrible hoofs and they tried to stretch things by using glue on shoes, but he stopped as if he’d been shot which means to me that his feet were hurting badly. With that owner, I guess you can never be sure the horse will be prime consideration, but let’s hope so. . If you’ve looked closely at Sierra Leone, he wings badly on the left front. You can see this best on the head. It’s a form of instability, and I wonder if he wasn’t sore when he was lugging in and laying all over Forever Young. I’m not sure that he sound even with that defect, and he may be getting some rest. Kenny McPeak is a good Horseman and at the top of his game right now. Torpedo Anna is a very nice Filly and he doesn’t want to risk breaking her by running her against the Colts.. my guess is he takes her in the acorn and is glad to get it.. I think this is a very weak year for three-year-olds maybe the worst in a decade or two. It may be that something we’ve never even heard of jumps up and wins the “Belmont“ at the wrong track and the wrong distance. I’m having trouble working out much enthusiasm about it.
I like Seize The Grey , he ran away from everyone in the Preakness and Wayne Lucas said he had plenty left at the finish . He should take to the track at Saratoga because he broke his maiden there . I think he can get the last sixteenth of a mile in the Belmont and if it rains that day , you can bet the Ranch on him .
Sierra Leone all the way best horse I like Seize the grey hit the board n longshot Antiquarian. That's my 3 since Batten Down decided not to run I did like him as my real longshot Just in the Overated inconsistent horse won't run in the Belmont Fierceness which is smart he had no chance in the Belmont .
@@Brick-so1ig Considering that the track length for this year’s Belmont Stakes will be shorter, I think Sierra Leone has a better chance given that he is a deep closer but it depends on the jockey really. My picks are either Mindframe or Sierra Leone.
I think stewards going to be tight on Sierra Leone when he runs other horses off road like in bluegrass and derby. Seize the grey and mystik Dan continue to be disrespected which is fine. Thorpedo Anna is winner but if not in, stg/mystic box exacta including if muth runs.
Freight Trains Dont Hang in The Stretch....Sierra Leone Does...Also Deep Closers are Not Ideal Winners of The 12F Belmont...Lets See if He Can Put it All Together and Avoid Lugging in Stretch...Horse Obviously Has Talent
The belmont at saratoga will have more speed than the k.d. no other horses in k.d. inside the 12 even went. Really. And t.p wasn't even supposed 2be on lead but nobody went. And there were at least 5 that should of went or got positions. Really. That why preekness was won on lead. Most likely a closer in belmont at a mile n quarter.
Pace in the Belmont this year will be solid. You have multiple horses that will likely be entered that either want the lead outright or want to sit just off it or press it. These include Thorpedo Anna, Seize the Grey, Dornoch, Fierceness and possibly even Pletcher’s NW1 undefeated horse Mindframe. This is not going to be some typical 49 or 50 opening half Belmont. Heck, Bill Mott is even considering entering Batten Down and that is another horse that wants to run on or very near the lead. This may easily be the most speed loaded Belmont field in history and even at the reduced distance of 1 1/4 there will likely be more than enough speed signed up for Sierra Leon to rally into. Anyone who thinks Seize the Grey is getting some gift cakewalk lead in this race like the Preakness is kidding themselves. 😀
Seize the Grey: "Underestimate Me, That'll be Fun"

I live in Saratoga, forecast is calling for 40% chance of rain. I’ll put money on STG. Also like Antiquarian and Mindframe as well.
For me it’s either Sierra Leone or Mindframe.
Sierra Leone with Flavien Prat on Board! He will be coming like a Freight Train!🐴🚝
Mindframe 1, Seize the Gray 2. look closely at the look in Mindframe’s eyes… he has the Seabisket attitude in spades
I agree with you 👍
Thank you to our host. Really like your reasoning. That’s the question: which Fierceness will run at Saratoga?
Thks 4 the sheet numbers. Couldn't believe the slow 3 in k.d
Someone will run better.

SL has a major lugging in issue to work on !!! Not a dead lock by any stretch.
He is Also Kind of a Hanger
Watch Sierra Leone get into the top 2 for this race.

Sierra Leone Has My Moolah.
Why Exactly?

Hoping Sierra lugging sideways is not based on a medical issue. Bit will not fix that....

Yeah, BB has to get the drugs cleared from Muth’s system. 😀
its going to pour rain

Triple dead heat. 😂
Dornoch is a class horse, but don't you know he has a quarter crack? No foot, no horse.
Honor Marie will win the Belmont.
SL will be a heavy favorite in the Belmont no value at all so most likely a pass for me
Lol fiercness is due for his udual romping this is such an easy pick I might even throwva little on him to break secretariat record .
He Did Romp at Saratoga in Maiden
“Break secretariat’s record”
You’re being not serious here are you lol? The track for the Belmont Stakes is shorter this year anyways.
1:20 no one will ever break Secretariat record, ever,,,
@@WilliamUrban-qj6up 2:24 is Untouchable...Especially Considering This Sport is Trying to Remove 12F and Lessen The Distances
this just in.......3 horses can't win the Belmont
They can if they dead heat!
Thanks for the laugh😂
Hey!! Yeahh?? Are they saying that, it's going to end in a Triple Dead-Heat?
Yes 3 way dead heat fierceness with his bad feet, sierra leone lugging in and muth without a fever. Lol.

Sierra Leone is very pace dependent and probably won't get it in the Belmont
Who do you like in the belmont
