Hunter Gets Some Bird Dog Training!

Here’s a little throwback clip of how I introduced Hunter to gunshots. He’s still a little rough but this is his first time being outside with me while using a dummy launcher with live ammunition blanks.
If you do not do this properly you can make a dog permanently gun shy and it will be extremely hard to undo this. I’m using .22 caliber blanks with a dummy launcher so although it’s not as loud as some of the heavier shotgun ammunition it is still extremely loud.
