This Noir’s S3 arc is the most heart-wrenching storyline in the show for me honestly. The glimpses we got of him through the Buster Beaver characters (which btw is the best pun on Chuck E Cheese I’ve ever heard) and that one scene of him and Edgar from Mallory’s memory made it seem like he was an okay guy before he got mutilated. Then he just existed as a mute weapon for like 40 years, until he finally got confronted by his past, and the only person he felt like he could trust enough to open up to about it killed him.
Obviously he was no saint, not even close, everything that happened in those 40 years is still on him, and we don’t know enough about what he was like before to definitively say he wasn’t already psycho. But it really didn’t seem like it, and the pacing of his scenes throughout S3 was just so perfect to build a connection with the audience. We’d had little wholesome moments amidst the chaos before, like when he played the piano at the gala or when he waved that little stuffed animal in front of the kid, and everything we learned in S3 put it all in perspective, for me at least. And the writing was just phenomenal. That whole conversation with Stan about how he felt like he could be successful as a black man, the comparison to Eddie Murphy, and how he feels like it’s time for him to show his face. And the first time he fights without the mask he loses his entire identity.
I could ramble on about this character forever honestly. As a fan of the comics I was always insanely curious about what they were gonna do with Black Noir on the show, and I was not disappointed at all. I do really wish this Noir could have survived, because the new one isn’t that entertaining to me, but I can’t deny the emotional impact of this scene. It does a lot for Homelander’s character and it’s a really good way to wrap up Noir’s arc, so as much as I wish it didn’t have to happen, I can’t be mad that it did.

Homelander is the epitomy of someone who has everything, Power, Fame, being able to literally take anything you want and not be stopped, and all at the same time has nothing. No real past, no real family, no real friends, no real love. Thats what makes his breakdown so interesting. To be so powerful and yet cant get that empty void inside filled.

Noir possibly has the saddest backstory as well as his situation coming up to his eventual death; he had nobody to speak to or find comfort in, apart from his imaginary friends. He’s probably the only character in the show like this, and you could argue all of the other characters have had at least one person care/caring about them.

It just hurt him so bad knowing that even someone so close to him could have not told him something that he considered of dire importance, home lander was raised as A lab rat with the only affection he could get was from the scientists that tormented him, he doesn’t cry because he missed out on a father figure, he cries because in his warped psyche, he knows that he must kill the only person he truly considered a friend… that’s truly heartbreaking

It’s so easy to hate Homelander, but honestly, I think he was justified here. Black Noir was the ONLY person Homelander thought he could depend on to be a friend, someone he could trust. But in the end, Homelander realized he can’t trust anyone, because he’s the bad guy and everyone wants him dead. And before anyone tries to say “Oh, well Black Noir can’t speak 🗣️🗣️🗣️”, he could’ve tried to write something down, Homelander had given Black Noir the opportunity to do it, but he didn’t. If Black Noir was gonna explain himself, he would’ve done it without hesitation because that’s the kind of person he is.

Poor Sceptile is the worst starter for Hoenn, yet it’s still beloved because of design. If the design is cool and stats are okay, then people will love it. The only reason Incineroar is so popular is because it’s the strongest competitive Pokémon of all time.
