Uday Kumar Vaddadi sunflower seeds. You can also make a ball with sunflower seeds and lard /suet or peanut butter. Hummingbirds like syrup that you can make cheaply with sugar and water, boiled until melted.

The milk carton tied to the tree with the wooden dowel/rod seems the easiest & cheapest. Maybe use a plastic bottle if u get a lot of rain...

Everybody be wary of feeding peanuts. Once they get wet they start to go moldy. Best to break them up and put them on the ground.

Bird feeders on windows is not a good idea

@@0anant0 the birds will fly into the window since they can’t differentiate glass from open space.
but the food is not supposed to get wet. And fruit will freeze in winter very quickly
