I'm guessing the Twitter Blue must be busy as 1.5 days later as the blue checkmark isn't live yet!
The news feature is very good. The most valuable thing about it is, when you follow a range of voices who have their own independent views from every area of the political spectrum, when a big story comes out, you'll see the commentary from each of those folks together associated with the same story. If any news outlet is lying, be if fox, CNN, or anything else, those with the independent view will provide evidence. The key is following people who are honest even if they challenge your views or are mistaken. Twitter bought a company called Nuzzel a few years ago who built this functionality. When that happened, Nuzzel's app went dark. So it's great to see it back now. I was able to use it to fine tune my own sense of which outlets had credibility problems on certain issues.

I’ve definitely been experimenting with Twitter Blue’s Top Articles feature the most to get a quick insight into current conversations in the topics I’m interested in. Absolutely I like consuming a range of views that are not underpinned by X political party is good/Y political party is bad. The issue that may be affecting Top Articles results for me is that as I never been really both feet in with Twitter, I don’t follow the spread of media outlets I do read so perhaps the algorithm is going off the few eclectic choices I follow or the stories I’ve clicked on. So at the moment the way to fine tune results is by Twitter follows which isn’t ideal! I didn’t know about Nuzzel but it’s good to hear about the tech underpinning it all. I will keep using Twitter Blue’s Top Articles over the next month and see if can do with Tweets what TikTok can do with short form vids - showing me a range of content that I want to see. I haven't received a message to say that I don't meet the criteria so my guess is that the Twitter staff have been inundated with registrations that they have to verify. Whilst you're waiting don't change your profile pic or handle/name. I will chase up my registration if i can later today.
Hi, there's not an annual subscription plan, just the rolling monthly plan so of course you can cancel a subscription to Twitter Blue and then you will lose all the benefits including the blue checkmark. Twitter hasn't revealed if 1080p videos you post when subscribed to Twitter Blue will be downgraded to 720p. I'm trying to find that out.
Hi Stacker_TR. For now, it's only available in these regions; US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Additionally, for my personal Twitter account the option to subscribe to Twitter Blue is currently not showing on iOS on either iPhone or iPad but it is when I access my Twitter account via the web. So if you live in one of the listed in countries try accessing Twitter via the web.
Hi JYMBO. Good question. The feature to 'rocket to the top of replies, mentions and search' is still listed as coming soon by Twitter suggesting it's not live. I did reply to one account and my tweet was higher than the non-blue checkmarks but I need more data so will try and test a lot more over next week.
