You need a Yamaha "GYT Kit". Good luck finding one as Yamaha quit making them in 1974. The kit contained an expansion chamber exhaust, race tuned carb, race clutch pack, milled head, racing piston, reed box and cylinder. The U.S. models are detuned at the factory to meet US EPA rules. The difference is night and day! Part of the detune was to partially block the ports on the cylinder head and making the piston skirt too long, effectively blocking air flow through the ports. To save money the existing piston could be notched and skirted along with porting and polishing the cylinder. That little engine has sooooo much potential!

Believe this or not, but I was going to suggest getting a parts cleaner...lol 😂😅 Water intrusion in an Enduro bike, S×S, monster trucks, happens all the time. No one takes a few minutes to drain and flush. Love the takedown, kinda like BJJ.. 😅 Love what you're doing 😊

Not as many as you'd think. The oil cleans off them easily so I get a lot of miles out of one pair. It's the shop towels that I'm trying to cut back on. 🤣🤣
