John and Paul laughing over the flubbed third verse is priceless.
Yes, that was used in the mock stereo mix. I prefer the mono which is the original recording minus the fluffed lines. I'm glad I've got the mono boxed set of CD's.
@@brianmason8205 That box is incredible. Wish we had it.
Where would the laughing be?
Yes. I can’t hear it either.
Any time stamps for this?
Damn, they were good.
They weren't "good"--they were INCREDIBLE.
Yep, it was them just playing as a band, live in the studio. I think they banged out the whole Please Please Me album in like 13 hours! And to hear how great they were in live performances when not being able to hear themselves from the screaming, no stage monitors and shitty PA systems, they were AMAZINGLY good.
They screwed up, and then laughed at 1:24, but now it's freaking rock & roll history. This is priceless!
Most of us figured that out 57 years ago, if not before. ;)
At 1:22 John sings "why do I never even try girl" and the lyrics should have been "why do you never even try girl". You can hear McCartney in the background singing "why do you never even try girl". George Martin explained this when they recorded the song and decided to leave it in as they were already at 15 takes
Even more impressive is the fact that they're singing live as a group in the studio. That's how you made recordings in the early 60's. Superlative vocals all the way around. Paul and George's voices always blended so well when backing John.
That 3part harmony on the bridge is something even the top tribute bands have a tough time duplicating.
I'm sorry, but even the "top" tribute bands, is like watching somebody trying to recreate the Mona Lisa with a paint-by-numbers set.
@Marshall Carwood wow! That was uncalled for, I guarantee he wasn't disrespecting the groups at all, and certainly knows how amazing they are, he was merely saying they can get as close to they can to The Beatles, but they'll never be as good (hence the word tribute) i think you're the cretin, bringing all this negativity to such a hateless place. Nobody will ever be able to perfectly replicate The Beatles, no matter how accomplished or technically proficient.
@@Inversiondude Agree.
The Beatles didn’t even need instruments to make music
Makes me appreciate this song even more. Didn’t think that was possible
John is the powerhouse for sure. Such a handsome guy too. They were all good but John was my favorite.
I respectfully agree to disagree. John had a unique voice but Paul was a far better vocalist with a higher falsetto, better all around musician, better songwriter, arranger, had a far superior solo career in the 70's. No denying they were at their best together but John needed Paul more than Paul needed John.
I respectfully disagree. John was the Beatles in the early years. Got bored with Sgt Pepper and let Paul play his granny music. Maxwell's Silver Ha.mer, really? That's not the Beatles.
No way was John the PowerHouse he could not hit nearly as many high notes as Paul check out the live performance of this boy I don't know why they gave him that high note because it's awful
Also Paul did a pretty excellent job imitating John in you never give me your money and he has plenty of more somber songs that he can do perfectly
@@charleslascari7191 yesterday Fixing a Hole Here There and Everywhere Eleanor Rigby that's "Granny music" ?
Silver Hammer is a genius song it's written like a kid song with a dark twist that's what makes it so memorable and catchy
@@charleslascari7191 how about Octopus's Garden? A Little Help from My Friends? Yellow Submarine? I don't think you know who the Beatles actually are
Love that “raw” Lennon voice! Great harmonies....which makes the Beatles the best roc band ever!
Boy, if Lennon had never written Please Please Me the world would never have been blessed with the gift of The Beatles. So grateful for this song
I want to hold your hand was the first song aired in the USA
@@eziospaghettiauditore8369 Yes, but about a year later after they recorded Please Please Me. USA missed tho whole first year of Beatlemania in the UK, 1963.
Lennon pensó en Roy Orbison cuando escribía esta canción y empezó a cantar cada vez más alto ,por qué se dice que está canción primero era una balada
Love the sound of Paul and Georges' voices singing together.
Their singing and harmonies are even more impressive when heard in isolation. Just hearing that is enough to explain their success. Then there was the fact they played their own instruments, wrote their own amazing songs and had very engaging stage presentation. What a band.
Still gives me goosebumps.Could be the best song in the world.
George backing vocals is also surprisingly great
No surprise. George had a great voice and perfect pitch.
@@shaltibalti He adds so much warmth to all their harmonies.
@@shaltibalti perfect pitch? Noooo. Good but not perfect.
@@shaltibalti no, he didn't have perfect pitch, but he sang perfectly on this particular song. More importantly, the timing of his vocals in between what he was playing on guitar was perfect!
@@magneto7930 I think he certainly had great relative pitch, because he was regularly lumbered with the more difficult harmony parts. Yes It Is is a great example of how he sung around John and Paul's parts.
How many other groups would stand up to this kind of scrutiny on their vocals. Beatles, so many songs, so much greatness.
Very true. How many people would also stand the scrutiny the four Beatles came under in their private lives, yet still emerged reasonably sane and normal. Admirable people, and I think George Martin's classy behaviour helped them too.
I'm sure the Beach Boys could. My all time favourite band is the Beatles and the Beach Boys!
@@catarinaandersson4215 That’s an interesting comment and reminded me of something I read awhile back. In the 1960’s the press was always trying to suggest that there was an ongoing feud between the Beatles and the Stones. But that wasn’t true. Yes, they definitely had a competition that was aimed at pushing each other creatively. But In truth Mick and Keith, etc hung out with John and Paul quite a bit. Paul has said many times that the one they were always keeping their eye on was BRIAN WILSON & the BB. Brian said that when he first heard Rubber Soul he was blown away. Then Revolver came out and he wrote Pet Sounds. J&P were totally impressed by Pet Sounds. When Pepper came out, Brian was overwhelmed by it. He wanted to put together something as innovative but later said that the other BB didn’t want to change beyond their formula. Brian wasn’t able to take them forward. John and Paul totally respected Brian and BB.
I'm 63 this August and I feel so blessed to still be enjoying the Beatles, a once in a lifetime phenomenon that will never be duplicated.
I'll be 61 this August, my friend I'm right there with you. I'll never forget when the Beatles first came on the scene and changed music forever!
Greetings from a new debutant in this decade , Im 60 last week , bands come and go after a few years , they dont pass the test of time , but the Beatles always stand higher and higher , what a great band...specially Mr. Lennon , always my favourite , cheers from Mexico amigos .
And you will still be enjoying them when you are 64 !!!
Well, just in general about their songs: John's powerhouse vocals and double picking on some songs, Paul's perfect pitch, vocal range and amazing prowess on the bass, George, with his fantastic guitar, his emerging songwriting talent, and his ability to do a wonderful third harmony and Ringo, with his amazing fills and ability to give the songs just what they needed. Amazing all around.
This shows how good their singing was, and how different their voices are to each other, making a great 3 part harmony.
The Beatles really sounds great without the 🎶 music and with the music and that's why the Beatles was the FAB 4
INCREIBLE ... como se equivocan en la letra, parte de la armonía e incluso se le escucha riendo a John en la ultima "come on" :D pero a pesar de eso eran ENERGIA pura ! GENIAL , BRUTAL ! simplemente The BEATLES ! ;)
Se nota mas en la version en Stereo, en Mono se escucha mas limpio
It still feels like the instruments are still there.....
couldn't describe how much i am amazed everytime i listen to isolated vocals of a Beatles song..it always sounds like a serenade or a choir or harmony brought by nature that shouldn't be touched
And this was done live on a two track recorder. Amazing.
I had no idea that this early recording was available, broken down to its components. I'm just floored! This is freaking history!
i live in liverpool been here all my life i was named after paul and my brother was named after john i remember seeing the beatles getting of a plane in speake airport that is now john lennon airport i was 7 years old i always liked the beatles since that day
They make it sound so easy the way John,Paul & George blended their harmonies, but those close harmonies on the chorus & especially on the bridge is far from easy. And so magical !
Lennon was just fantastic.
Very very high back vocal, perfect
omg out of this world harmonies
Love John's growl.
WHAT ELSE CAN POSSIBLY BE SAID :. PERFECTION...........
One of my very favorites since I heard it the first time in early '64. Love this version of it as well.
Espero ansiosamente caballero suba nuevos tutoriales en voces de nuevos temas de the beatles , saludos desde México
John John John I said it before but the Beatles and the hollies had the best harmonies of the beat groups
FACTSSS
Paul must be an angel. You f e e l it in the sound of his voice in the end. ✨ 💛
This is brilliant. You don't get how good the vocals were on the original track.
I still remember the excitement coming from Radio Luxembourg via my transistor the Friday this was released. It was as though we knew the world would never be the same again from that night onward. I was a little disappointed with the follow up, 'From Me To You', but boy did they roar back with 'She Loves You' to confirm those thoughts of six months earlier.
The harmonies are angelic PLEASE
Been waiting for this for years now!
Bloody FAB
McHarmonies♥️♥️♥️♥️🎸🎸🎸
Absolutely astounding! Such tight, bell-like harmonies!
Amazing. Sounds so good and clear! Thank you.
What great voices the three of them have!
The best harmonies in the whole world
My favorite Beatles song of all time
Flawless intonation throughout! They were so good
Never noticed the mistake at 1:20 !
lptomtom ya i always did since I was a kid listening and trying to learn the words , and noticed paul messing up something like “why do you never “instead of “ I know you never “ , besides that this was great 👍
It's only in the stereo version -- and the mono versions were all that were available on CD from '87-'09. If you didn't have the earlier stereo vinyl, and if you weren't paying attention to the stereo CD 2009 remaster, it's not surprising you never heard it before.
John laughs after that mistake on the first "come on" at 1:25.
@@LeChaunce That must be it, I've mainly listened to the pre-68 Beatles in mono since that was how the albums were originally mixed
@@lptomtom As is right and proper. :)
Please please me by the Beatles great music from them one of my favourite songs very well done the Beatles classic love song good stuff
Thank you for these isolated vocal harmonies of the ABSOLUTE Most Incredible Band Ever !!
A thing of beauty is a joy forever

Molto grazie Galeazzo, I missed you
Вот что значит талант каждого по отдельности и всех вместе! Здоровья живым и светлая память ушедшим!
Outstanding !
put tears in my eyes
Lennon is a MONSTER in this song . I can hear mistakes from Paul and George but John .. OH JOHN JOHN... ANd I always thought the Paul did the sustain in the outro.. but NOPE it is John without taking a breath . Johnny You ARE a power of nature.
and BTW Paul IS my favorite 😁
mickavellian john❤️
There was no weak link in this band 😃
@@rolindadice yes🙌😍❤
Really?Is it John?
mickavellian He laughed tho and made a mistake in one of the words in the song
heartwarming...
I love these.
I love this so much.
amazing, thank you
Fantastic
Awesome!
Genius harmonies.
Maravilhoso,pura harmonia
Brilliant
Love the 3rd verse where they sing different words ‘why know I never even try girl’
Part of the charm of the song…
George's harmony...on come on....oh yeah
Great, thanks
I love the comment by le bish: What are the odds of four guys popping up in some Northern English seaport town who turn out to be musical geniuses on an unimaginable scale? thanks, bish.
The voices of angels.
This is one of my favorites .They had so much fun rehearsing and recording it . you can hear John cracking up with the verse towards the end. They had that childish relationship schoolboy’s and girls only know. Paul had a special bond with John. Not to diminish George or Ringo’s. John always came through in the end of she loves you , while the others were the only one’s in on the joke.
Wonderfull!
Amazing!!!
🥰♥️🥰
Good harmony!
Really it was interesting.
Thank you !
Perfect
ÚNICOS...!!!
I cant explain how much I love this..............🤪
ils était très doué magnifique jeux de voies
upload thank you so much✨✨✨✨✨✨🎵🕊🕊🕊🕊
They were so good
I take it that’s a prehistoric sample/loop in the outro ........
genius is the only word that comes to mind
Salve, maestro...
QUE ENERGIA PURA NO IMPORTA SI SE EQUIVOCABAN QUE HERMOSAS VOCES DE JOHN Y PAUL NO SE DISCUTE SON ORIGINALES
hasta se rie lennon esto es fantastico!!!!!!
They knew very well about harmony
I like it.
John had a great voice. ❤
Ok!
Cool
Please, please me is one of the most important Beatles songs as it contains the DNA for the Beatles sound and so many of their subsequent hits: She Loves you, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Hard Day's Night, particularly in how it established their harmony. Give all the credit in the world to Paul McCartney for his amazingly great songs: Yesterday, Let It Be, Michelle,... but John created the Beatles sound with this song and then built upon it to create the majority of the initial Beatle hits (If I Fell, Hard Day's Night, Help, ...) all the way up to Rubber Soul.
