    Thank you so so much! My Sonicare was wobbly and loud, and normally, I would've asked my husband to fix it for me (he really is good at fixing stuff). But I wanted to try it myself for a change. Nearly gave up during your last vid because I couldn't get the body out of the casing. Thanks to your additional video here, I managed to fix the problem myself! It did take a while (2 hours and a lo of cursing). But my Sonicare works again now and - from someone who has two left hands and really can't fix anything - I'm pretty pleased with myself right now. :-)

    Thanks so much!! I was dreading having to replace this almost 5 year old toothbrush again since it cost $240 and now it's working perfectly! The update on how to release the retention tabs is clearer and helpful! I held it under a lamp and disassembled in a minute.

      Your welcome, glad it helped :) I tell a lot of people that it's quite a reliable toothbrush if you take care of it and when you get to know it even repairable that's getting quite rare in our times :)

  • @alexanderschlindwein3180

    Thanks for this video! After struggling for 30 minutes I was able to get it out within 2 minutes after watching your explanation!

    Holy moly this video helped me out so much. I had to watch a few times but finally got it! I was this close to buying a new toothbrush but it turned out just to be a loose screw. Thanks for creating the vid!!

    I got the cap off but I'm struggling to get the retention tabs in order to remove the body from the casing. I'm afraid to damage the tabs too much and then not be able to get it off.

      Wanted to suggest a video for that but you are commenting on it :) only suggestion is to apply slight pressure on the whole brush with the tip pressed on the table. The. When you release one of the tabs it will not snap back. And yes after you release both of them you still need to press it down with some force. First time is always the hardest ans don't worry they don't brake easily! Good luck!

    Thank You!!!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! This was my third Sonicare 9000 series that broke where the tip screw was loose and I wished I had seen this earlier and not have thrown away the old ones. I was watching your other videos but this one was key as it is impossible to see but your verbal tips in this video helped me figure it out and I fixed it. Thank you again!!!!

    This video is very helpful. thank you. Do you have any video on how to remove the part between the magnetic part and shaft,? the part just under the black rubber part seen at 4.37 mins in this video. Thanks in advance.

    • @letsfixitgarage
      @letsfixitgarage  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi, no haven't done it... That involves cutting the housing apart and a lot off difficulties assembling it back.. I saw few videos on CZcams how it was done can't remember did any one showed assembling it after wards or no.. I would suggest replacing the electromagnet part completely, to much risk that it will not hold after the repair..

    Great video, subscribed! Many thanks for this, it was a useful addition to your other video that I initially found. It helped to see those 'clips' out of the body to understand how to attack my brush to get the guts out :) Very happy to save my £ and fund some more budget tech instead :)

    Ha! I’m still working on how to remove the end cap, I’m afraid to break it! Do you just pry it off?

    • @letsfixitgarage
      @letsfixitgarage  Před 2 lety

      Check my other videos. In "no vibrations fix" video I show it on camera. Just don't stick anything sharp inside as you will damage the plastic cap or rubber seal. If the upper seal is damaged you could use air compressor to pop the cap off. Saw someone on CZcams doing so :)

    I have a Soniccare toothbrush that I replaced the end part that the toothbrush attaches but now it won’t charge. It’s working fine other that it won’t now charge. Any idea what the cause would be? It charged fine until I disassembled it.

    • @letsfixitgarage
      @letsfixitgarage  Před 2 lety

      Well if it was working before look for damaged components.. maybe by taking out charging coil got damaged or some component on the board..

    Hah. I was trying to release the latches for a good 20 minutes and it turns out I had already released them, mine just needed a good whack on the table to spring out.

    • @letsfixitgarage
      @letsfixitgarage  Před 3 lety

      They are just plastic tabs that spring back so that's why I was telling to keep constant pressure on it :)

      Underrated comment. Was so mad that I couldn't open it that I smacked the tip on the ground like a jackhammer. It finally opened

    • @letsfixitgarage
      @letsfixitgarage  Před rokem

      Sometimes it helps sometimes damages quite badly the tabs or seating place.. so be careful with this method ;)
