Wow, have ran that trail many times and its crazy how the weather and wet effected the traction. Seemed like way more tire slippage than normal! Looked like a great time and a great video. Nice job guys!

MAN! I miss my Xterra. Was an 01, yellow, 4x4/standard trans. It was left to me when my mom died.
It got stolen from the side of the road in Greer, SC.

This is why I don't agree with just getting a front locker. I think it can put too much stress on the front components, front axle typically more lightly built. Having front and rear lockers would spread the stress more equally. Regardless, it was cool to see 3 solid axle vehicles together. You are brave heading out there in the slick conditions.

Good point on the front locker. Thanks for the comment!

The dude with the 33s knows how to drive, he did most of the first try. The other xj could have made it through a lot more stuff first go if he was more committed to his lines.

Agree very nice control, also looks like his tires are a bit narrower providing same weight on a smaller foot print increasing traction.

I was a Jeep guy but after 6 different Jeeps and all with the crappy Chrysler electronics that they all have Im now an Xterra guy, much more reliable and just as capable as a Jeep !

I have owned 2 XJ stick shift manual transmission. And1 2006 Nissan Xterra Off-Road edition manual transmission also. The factory.
I needed more space so now I've got the 2002 Sequoia all stock. I think 33's are almost ideal for the for the XJ jeep.

@Rogue Overland They are when they work correctly??? Toyota transfer case actuator have a lot of problems!!! I am looking at installing a 3rd gen. 4 runner transfer case . that is manual versus the switch version. Less To go wrong! Probably gonna run me about 1500 bucks to get my 4wd drive to work. 800 for custom drive shafts. Used transfer case 400 or 600$$. Will have to cut a hole my floor in center console, for manual transfer case handle. Or I can get another factory transfer case actuator for $1550 . Yikes
