The one thing that I can attest to is the great seals that Isuzu puts in the drive train components. I may have tried to sink a trooper in the ocean. When my buddy started to pul it apart to dig all of the sand and salt water out of the axles , they were un touched and good to go. That was one of the best worst trips, still miss those days.
Sounds like a campfire story if we have ever hear one. Thanks for sharing about the seals!
Those were the days!!!❤
That beauty needs a "mid/long travel" IFS suspension under it! Im a huge Isuzu fan. I own a '98 Rodeo, and wish these were more popular in the offroad community because they are unbelievably capable and overbuilt! Great job on this VX and thanks for putting it out there for the world to see. ❤❤❤
🤜💥🤛
Such an awesome build. Very heartening to see a Nissan given such a treatment. Kudos! Really comprehensive walk around. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
VX for the win! Cant wait to get out and meet you in Moab, James!
🤘
Awesome build! 🔥🔥🔥
Agreed‼️
That rig is cool as hell! And I've been a gear head my whole life and have never seen an Isuzu nerd! Awesome 🤘
There are a few Isuzu 4x4 nerds in Japan. I meet some and they have interesting take on things.
Let’s not forget the truly crazy guys in Thailand. DMax diesel mania! You never forget them once you see them!
👍
Awesome love this "under dog" that you really don't see many of these at all❤
🤘😎
Looks familiar for some reason. 🙂
👍
As a Jeep commander owner who has done tons of trails i can relate to a lot in this video. The commander is the bastard child of the jeep world and has almost 0 aftermarket support. BTW I have always liked the Vehicross but I'm one who like to do things different.
So 4 daughters and a wife in that? Im strugglin wit 2 kids and my wife in my suburban lol. Awesome build tho and one of a kind build to see out in action
It’s always a challenging fitting the whole family!
I always wanted this truck .When was new ,cost tons of money, now is hard to find, usually with tons of miles
Truth. Good luck with the search 🍀
@@RogueOverland Thanks
I’d like to some “junkyard engineering “ and check if any of these Isuzu parts fit Xterras. Yes I said it. Just to check it out.😅 if something is bigger and better why not?
Truth.
Should l consider a VehiCross with 146,000 miles?? I drove it, it rides and sounds great, l know I'm gonna have a lot to do..timing belt, sensors, bearings, fan belt..on and on.. l am in love with VehiCross, this one is 6-7 on a 1-10.. no oil leaks, knocks or weird noises..seems pretty solid, 99 silver with red/ black interior.. l will likely only trail ride here in Florida with it, im a little nervous about the milage..what do you think???
If you are comfortable turning wrenches then it’s a no brainer. If you aren’t comfortable turning wrenches then you should consider how the potential mechanical expenses fit your budget. Good luck 🍀
Revo gears?
Not yet! Rodeo t case not Torque on Demand.
🚙💨🤌
