Their new mission tree promises to be loads of fun, in addition to new great projects and unique infantry! While we're at it, let's hunt some achievements, shall we?

Pravus, it was Gustav I, or Gustav Vasa, who led Sweden to independence from the Kalmar Union with Norway and Denmark. Johan Vasa was his grandfather. 🙂
Fun fact about the Carolean infantry he talks about:
The Caroleans were famous for learning to sing prayers while marching to battle, even in the line of fire. This singing would be absolutely terrifying to enemies, who would break incredibly quickly
So that’s is where the extra morale damage is form
and then they became space marines
Not only that they marched till they saw the white in their eyes. Thats like 30 meters... than fired the first salvo switched around 15 meters than immediately drawed sword. Shooting before the order was given was punished by death

Pravus, always check the tooltip when pillaging. Stetten's capital did not have enough dev for you to get anything from pillaging it, so all you got was AE.
This, they changed it awhile back so now you have to check before pillaging.
That's not very good game design, it should just not allow it if you can't gain anything.

@@poilboiler Not actually. A lot of times in history armies looted cities basically for "fun". Sieges were long as stressful and when they finally breached the gates it was very common for undisciplined soldier go on a killing spree. It's not always a question of money or loot
@@gabrieldossantos1116 Yeah, but that's the event that sometimes happens after a siege. The peace terms are a totally different thing and it makes no sense to do that as a player.

As a swede this dlc is a gift from the heavens
Just relistened to the album "Carolus Rex" by Sabaton. There is a song on there called "The Lion of the North," which is about this very scenario. Looking forward to watching this

Dalaskogen (falu gruva) was under a period of time pruducing 2/3 of the worlds copper ore.
just to let you know, your pillaging of stettin was useless as their capital doesn't have enough dev to give you any. Gotta be careful about that, otherwise its just aggresive expansion for nothing

it won't matter, he was told by the comm section for many MANY times in the series of eu 4 games, that all you need to do is hover over the pillaging option to see if you get someting or not, otherwise is just pointless AE witch forces you to sit around like a muppet till it burns away insted of pushing more agresivly when you want to

It depends, yes i can't see on the tv but it's not on the computer.

Well, Sweden is and definately was "stinking good". We have mineral resources and know how to use them. There is ofc some spoiled and inbreeds that are holding us back but never underestimate "Kronan i norra hemisfären".

Denmark would have taken Novgorod’s baltic sea tiles, if Pravus didn’t declare independence and by vassalizing Novgorod, he esentialy blocked Denmark’s future expansion to the east.
That’s a good strategy.

I haven't played eu4 yet, but i've studied a bunch of economic history and Sweden during this era had a national strategy that focused so much on warfare that the economy was lowkey failing and people were producing everything for the purpose of war until they took a loan from Louis de Geer from the Netherlands and other dutch merchants. Does that have a role in the game or not?

I just checked, how come you have no videos on Victoria 2? You should get it, its really fun, the wacky stuff the AI does is rivalled only by HoI4 and a mod you HAVE to get for it is Divergence of Darkness, kinda think about it like a sort of Kaiserriech but it takes place WAY earlier where France and Britain actually unite

The only way to truely win as Sweden in the long run, is to subject completely to Danish rule, and culture convert all swedish "culture" to Danish. Would have saved a whole lot of trouble.

It's a nice video of how to make bad decisions but still have fun playing the game. Pillage a capital for AE but get no development out of it, take territory from a vassal that you would get when you integrate them (also creating a huge liberty desire issue), etc. etc. I don't mind that Pravus is (at best) a casual player because he is still playing an awesome game.
