HOBBY LOBBY Tumbler Turner.. Multi-Arm Modification Hack & Product Review

In this episode I am going to show you how I came up with a hack for the Hobby Lobby Tumbler Turner to allow for a multi arm configuration. This way, I can remove a tumbler to a drying rack, and put a new tumbler arm on and start a new tumbler.
It only takes a few inexpensive parts & a little elbow grease.
I also share a brief review of the Hobby Lobby Tumbler Turner, and so far I am very pleased.
The price point is great, and it is a solid unit.. and did I mention it is REALLY quiet! =]

So I just did the mod to the T. All I can so is WOW PERFECT!! It works perfect!! Ty so much. I did not want to buy this turner bc of its stock flaws but with the modes its 100% perfect!

I'm glad it worked out great for you! I have also enjoyed this turner immensely. My multi-cup turner is vertical (meaning all the cups are facing me straight on), and with this turner, I can create any direction I want.. which is great for micas, galaxys, etc. Let me know what else you'd like to see on this channel.. It is because the pvc 1/2 inch is cpvc used for hot water and ut is different than regular pvc if you used the hot cpvc 3/4 inch you won't have a problem with that. It is the pvc with the yellow line down it.

Hello, Iâm trying to use the hobby lobby turner as is, but trying to add a attachment so I can do gladly. I purchased a attachment that is 1/2âx3/4â . My question is if a go to lowes and purchase a 1/2âx3/4â female adapter would that work. I donât have what is needed to do what you did.

I tend to prefer shorter arms for my football arms. I believe most of mine are about 7 inches. =]
Will this work for like my water bottle tumblers thatâs my issue doing one of them
Does this turner hold a 30oz without tipping over?
How has this held up longer term? I want to start doing tumblers like today and was going to head to hobby lobby and get this turner lol
On my turner from Hobby Lobby the speed is really slow and it takes a lot longer for my epoxy to dry.

yes, I believe this turner is only available at Hobby Lobby, but I believe they can do online shipment orders. =]

What size is the pvc the football is on? I am new to this

Welcome to the crazy world of tumblers.. you will love it!!
The football is on a 3/4" pvc pipe. that is what my current tumblers and my drying racks are all made out of.
But you can do this hack with whatever pvc size you currently have.
If you don't have anything currently.. I truly love 3/4".
It's readily available, and I feel it is a little more sturdy than 1/2" or anything smaller.

Hi. Is it a reversible motor?
Mine chooses which direction it wants to whenever lol. That canât be normal?
Any time you do anything that makes pvc dust you need a mask . Some of the dust is so fine you canât notice it . You donât want pvc dust in your lungs there no way to remove it.
To get a flush cut you might also try a copper pipe cutter that you affix to the pipe and twist ,

Hi Hun!! I'm wondering if the bracket that goes over the pipe is a little too tight?? I tightened my screws down just enough to hold everything in place. See if that helps & let me know!! â„â„
@@dirtchicstudios8098 it wasn't the bracket. The cup wasn't on good enough, it was uneven. I'll hold on to it, but I ended up getting a 2 cup Turner from etsy.

I'm pretty certain that it wasn't made in the US (not sure anything Hobby Lobby actually is).
But I bet they weren't counting on crafty people like me creating a hack of their original design...

I also prevent tipping by duct taping my turner to the table. My son who is very happy is going to make a permanent stand for my 4 cup turner which is wood.

The bushing you link doesnât even fit the pipe. I canât get the pipe into it.
And itâs too looks for the female adapter you link.

Thatâs the correct bushing. Had to bring what i had to the store to find the correct piece.
I actually got a headache watching this. You need a degree in engineering to do all this.đą
