HOBBY LOBBY Tumbler Turner.. Multi-Arm Modification Hack & Product Review
zhlédnutí 28KPřed 4 lety
Welcome to Dirt Chic Studios.. 💗 In this episode I am going to show you how I came up with a hack for the Hobby Lobby Tumbler Turner to allow for a multi arm configuration. This way, I can remove a tumbler to a drying rack, and put a new tumbler arm on and start a new tumbler. It only takes a few inexpensive parts & a little elbow grease. I also share a brief review of the Hobby Lobby Tumbler T...
I so glad I came across your video, I now can make this change for both of my tumbler turners. Thanks for sharing.
I just purchased a 4 cup turner that has that saMe arm attachment method. I am so thankful to have come across your conversion video! Can't wait to convert mine
Will this work for like my water bottle tumblers that’s my issue doing one of them
Does this turner hold a 30oz without tipping over?
I actually got a headache watching this. You need a degree in engineering to do all this.😢
Excellent omg thank u
Hello, I’m trying to use the hobby lobby turner as is, but trying to add a attachment so I can do gladly. I purchased a attachment that is 1/2”x3/4” . My question is if a go to lowes and purchase a 1/2”x3/4” female adapter would that work. I don’t have what is needed to do what you did.
How has this held up longer term? I want to start doing tumblers like today and was going to head to hobby lobby and get this turner lol
It is because the pvc 1/2 inch is cpvc used for hot water and ut is different than regular pvc if you used the hot cpvc 3/4 inch you won't have a problem with that. It is the pvc with the yellow line down it.
What is this for!?
It worked except I couldn’t get the turner screw in one of mine so I used a hitch pin, but, I am impressed! Thank you!
On my turner from Hobby Lobby the speed is really slow and it takes a lot longer for my epoxy to dry.
Great tutorial! Game changer for my Hobby Lobby turners. Thanks so much!
Thank you for creating this video! It’s exactly what I needed!
Sorry! My CZcams account was compromised, so they shut off my access. I didn’t realize that the video was still available to view and comment. Otherwise, I never would have taken so long to reply to your comment. Please consider subscribing, as our account is now back up and running, and I plan on posting some cool tumbler videos soon! ♥ Let me know if you did the modification, and if it helped you in your tumbler endeavor. ♥
I just bought this and made the modifications as you did. My is it only suppose to rotate in one direction? It will alternate directions when it feels like lol
So I just did the mod to the T. All I can so is WOW PERFECT!! It works perfect!! Ty so much. I did not want to buy this turner bc of its stock flaws but with the modes its 100% perfect!
Hankey.. I'm so sorry! My CZcams account was compromised, so they shut off my access. I didn’t realize that the video was still available to view and comment. Otherwise, I never would have taken so long to reply to your comment. Please consider subscribing, as our account is now back up and running, and I plan on posting some cool tumbler videos soon! ♥ I'm glad it worked out great for you! I have also enjoyed this turner immensely. My multi-cup turner is vertical (meaning all the cups are facing me straight on), and with this turner, I can create any direction I want.. which is great for micas, galaxys, etc. Let me know what else you'd like to see on this channel.. I'd love your suggestions. ♥♥
The bushing you link doesn’t even fit the pipe. I can’t get the pipe into it.
And it’s too looks for the female adapter you link.

That’s the correct bushing. Had to bring what i had to the store to find the correct piece.
Love your channel! Found you through your hobbies channel. I love trains and crafting. New sub+
Any time you do anything that makes pvc dust you need a mask . Some of the dust is so fine you can’t notice it . You don’t want pvc dust in your lungs there no way to remove it. To get a flush cut you might also try a copper pipe cutter that you affix to the pipe and twist , Awesome 👏🏿 inspirational video otherwise
Hi. Is it a reversible motor?
Mine chooses which direction it wants to whenever lol. That can’t be normal?
Hi, love the tutorial...is that tumbler turner only available at Hobby Lobby, is it made by another company? No HOBBY LOBBY where I live. :(
@@dirtchicstudios8098 Thanks!
@Dirt Chic Studios can you tell me how long your pvc pipe holding your footballs are?
Awesome ...I did it, your step by step instructions was easy to follow, you're a great teacher ! !
Hello since your comment is the only one that has been responded or a like by her. But I follow her steps also I'm a beginner this my email I want to ask you some questions. About the tumbler shimeicareaves@gmail.com

Hey Cyndi New to tumbling and your page. I was about to go out to get the spin It to until I saw your video I enjoy how you explained everything I think I can made the modification myself. I hope to see some more of your great videos. :) TEACH ON REACH ONE
Hi Girl!! Thanks so much for the great feedback! This video got a really slow start, so I wasn't sure who'd be interested in seeing more. But I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and would love to know what you'd like to see in future videos.. I love a great hack / cheat.. what do you think? I'd like to show how I do cheat glitter.. would that be useful for you? ♥♥
Thanks for the info!

Love it !
And air conditioning. Lol. 💥💥💥
The craft room looks great. I love the cabinet system!
Thank u so much for watching! You gotta love ikea.. they are so brilliant sometimes..so long as you can follow along with their wordless instructions.. 😂😂
This is really a good episode. I love watching the process in things like this. AND, it is inspiring to me to get my own room back into its refurb. Right now it's a mess and that is one big thing contributing to my losing the model railroad mojo that was discussed on Track Smack a couple of weeks ago. So it's great to see this! Gets me motivated to get after it! I like your solution to having the upper "dead space" be for the antiques and the file boxes down lower and more accessible. Good stuff! Great episode, Cyndi! Looking forward to the next one!
Nice job Browns , they look good . Vinyl saying on the walls are nice , now the real fun begins . Those old potato chip and crack tins are neat .
I enjoyed this video, already looking forward to the next one. 👍
Yes IKEA is great I got my bedroom set from them, is this room a train free zone?😆👍👍
Cindy great episode. Glad ur up doing the house to fit ur needs. Steve its so strange to see you an a supporting role and being.. well.. supportive... great job guys.
Hi Pretty Little Angel Eyes, WOW you nailed SOOO many great ideas and functions. Here two you may like to consider. 1) Everywhere in the U.S. there may not be an IKEA. For instance, when I am here in N.Y.C. we have more IKEA's than Swedish Meatballs. HOWEVER, when I'm go Upstate IKEA is but a punchline to a SNL joke. NOTHIN'. So another possibility is to use conventionally constructed cabinets with a pair of FRENCH CLEATS. Near the top and near the bottom. It functions much like a metal brace but it's made of wood cut on a 45 degree angle. 2) Have you thought of an open shelving storage from the left of the window, to the side of the corner upper cabinet. The depth of the cabinet. With a rounded over window side edge. To fit the storage boxes out in the open. It would set itself off beautifully if the shelving was on the same plain and matching molding as the windows ledge. Love you; Jim
There they are, the Browns, up to some kind of mischief. Let’s follow along and see what happens......❤️
Thanks Norman... we do always have something up our sleeve, don't we? 😜
What size is the pvc the football is on? I am new to this
Hi Robin!! Welcome to the crazy world of tumblers.. you will love it!! The football is on a 3/4" pvc pipe. that is what my current tumblers and my drying racks are all made out of. But you can do this hack with whatever pvc size you currently have. If you don't have anything currently.. I truly love 3/4". It's readily available, and I feel it is a little more sturdy than 1/2" or anything smaller. Thanks for watching! ♥
Thank you for this video !!
Hey that works! lol figures they would us some non standard size on the factory pipe.
Yo Jeff! I'm pretty certain that it wasn't made in the US (not sure anything Hobby Lobby actually is). But I bet they weren't counting on crafty people like me creating a hack of their original design... hehe - see what I did there! =]
I also prevent tipping by duct taping my turner to the table. My son who is very happy is going to make a permanent stand for my 4 cup turner which is wood.
Great job Cyndi, awesome how to video, 👍👍
Hi Charles.. thanks for the great feedback! I hope it was easy to follow & informative! =]
Hey Cyndi, great modification!! This is going to be a great channel!
Hi Ed!! Thanks for the encouragement! I'm pretty excited to share all this great stuff with you guys! You rock!! =]
Super cool! New subscriber here! 😊❤️
Hi There! I love your channel & can't wait to try some of your projects.. I subbed right back, my friend! ♥♥
This pretty cool Cyndi. Interesting modification.
Cool
I love the hack Angel. I won't say how much I love you in case Steve takes a peek. But you know.
Hi ya Cyndi, very good explanation of your modifications. Now.....when do we get to see this contraption in action? Nice of the regular guy to share his hobby room. It’s great to see you back in action again. See ya next time.
