I was hypnotised in a stage show by a British hypnotist/magician called Derren Brown. It was real. I sort of knew I could snap out of it if I wanted to, but I also didn’t want to. It’s difficult to describe. I don’t think stage hypnosis is exactly what people think it is, but it was not my normal consciousness. I was able to do physical things effortlessly that I shouldn’t have been able to do without struggling.
Derren Brown is awesome. Watched a lot of his stuff so can believe that his hypnosis works
@ip2p p If that was the case, it would have felt uncomfortable. It didn’t. I was also cynical about it until it was actually done to me. I stand corrected.

I went to one of his shows about 10 years ago - he made a woman drink a pint of vinegar on stage and she didn't even bat an eyelid!! Another guy verified it was indeed vinegar before she drank it too.....I nearly puked...! What did he make you do?
@@WhisperAudiosASMR That was the show I was in. The woman before me drank the vinegar and then he made my body rigid and stuck in place. Then I was lifted and balanced in-between the backs of two chairs (one for my head, one for my feet). It was completely effortless.
I used to sleep to sleep hypnosis videos before ASMR emerged. At the time no one knew what that tingling/relaxing sensation was.
Idk if anyone else remembers this one hypnosis video where it had a matrix type screen then clouds I can’t find it anywhere but I remit being super effective

The first one that you thought was a bit sketchy is actually the most legit, University hospitals is a big health clinic here in Ohio, also the kind of hypnosis he is performing is the most legitimate type its almost a form meditation not like all the bs ones were the claim they can make people do things against their will.

I started watching hypnosis vids over a decade ago, none of these guys but I remember they weren't always easy to come by.
Dr. Howard Hall can put me to sleep very easily. He has such a soothing voice.

Hypnosis is legit....*IF* you are one of those people who are able to submit to being hypnotized. It's evidently a small percentage of the population. I had some acquaintances in the 90s who were learning hypnosis and had a group who met regularly. I would attend as a subject, and they said I was the easiest person they had ever practiced hypnosis upon. I was heavily into yoga and meditation at the time, doing extensive breathing exercises daily. I ran every day for hours That, combined with the fact that I've been experiencing frequent, intense ASMR since early childhood is what I believe allowed me to experience hypnosis so easily. It's a really incredible thing, very similar to opiates in that it takes you to a perfect place within yourself where all stress and worry simply falls away and your heart, third eye and crown chakra are able to safely open up and resonate. I think most people are unable to experience it because they are too distrustful of the hypnotist, they're unable to open their heart and mind, and unable to let go of the stress they carry with them throughout their lives. One has to suspend the state of hyper-vigilance we all experience in the modern world in order to be hypnotized.

To me and being someone that's had hypnotherapy, all it is, is the wonders of asmr combined with the physical sensation of someone being there with you and there's something 1000 times more relaxing about in person asmr with the odd physical touch it reinforces what your feeling.

Alma Alamillo is my favorite hypnotist on CZcams. She doesn't have many videos, but she has a strong spanish accent, and I find her voice so relaxing!
I used to download hypnosis mp3s from limewire and kazaa. There was one labelled as a hypnosis training course by Wayne Dyer. In it he ran through examples of hypnosis techniques and performed them on the class. It was fantastic because he was also explaining why it works. I haven't been able to find the recording anywhere on the modern internet.
Can’t you upload your mp3s to CZcams by adding them to a video (You can make a video on your phone just record in a dark place so it comes out like a black screen) as an audio track?

And I want you to know that you have one of the best ASMR voices I have ever heard! Seriously! So while I appreciate this introduction to other practitioners, I really hope that you will consider making some content of your own. You really do have one of the most beautiful and relaxing voices I have ever heard. And I have heard many many voices over the years! Just a suggestion, no pressure whatsoever. You may also like the videos of Milton Erickson from the 50s and early 60s. There are a couple of them on YT, He was the originator of most of these methods. You will recognize several repeated words like "that's right" and "deeper and deeper"

Yeah hypnosis is an actual medically-documented phenomena in the way you describe. Sometimes it's even used in lieu of anesthetic! But to my knowledge, the sleepy nature, the memory loss, and forgetting specific names is BS. It's much more like a guided meditation instead of mysterio-style hypnosis
You know very little or almost nothing if you think that memory loss is BS, it is usually one of the first phases of hypnosis, it is used to win over the patient to perform more complicated things. The "sleepy nature" is a misconception, people are not sleepy, their body is relaxed, but they are in fact aware of everything around them.

This reminds me of when the orthopedic surgeon who treated me, when I was hit by a car, gave me crazy ASMR when he did the different examinations and follow up treatments. He was also really nice and very attractive, but I was too scared to ask him out when he was done treating me. If only… 😜😅

Speaking of creeps, I’m surprised there was no mention of that Cara Institue for Advanced Hypnotherapy or whatever it’s called. I used to see the content pop up but now I think a lot of the videos may have gotten banned or deleted. Anyway, the guy is a certifiable sleazeball. They don’t hide what the channel is about, most of their content is titled things like “How to hypnotize HOT girls” and then it’s just the guy ogling and manhandling a young woman who is obviously faking. The whole thing has a massive sexually predatory vibe and is in no way therapeutic. Purely fetishist content which is super creepy
