wow, honestly this 22.16 is more impressive than her 22.09 because this track has been killing people all week. Hope she keeps this kind of momentum to outdoors
Agreed!!
Is it the surface? Why several have fallen?
Didn’t boling half-trip on this track as well
@@colleenposadas8415 most 200m tracks have a steeper bank which allows runners to use centripetal force to keep them on the track. on flat tracks with this sharp of a turn, runners tend to slow down or have trouble with the turn. the fact that she was only .07 off of another american record is crazy considering.
That first curve
They have to lean rather than twist or turn into
her arm swings have improved so much from last year. an extremely outstanding performance and such a gifted athlete!
Brillliant! Love her speed and running style.
Abby 'the Flash' Steiner does it again. This woman is phenomenal!
She gets her strength on how she swing her arms swiftly, love her!
Dont tell them the secret... :)
Congratulations Abby! Unbelievable form and turn over!
Man oh man! ..... You have to love this girl!!! ..... WOW!!!
Magnificent from Steiner, once again. Looking forward to a proper outdoor season from her!
Her turnover is insane. On an outdoor track she is going to run faster.
I’m here saying the same thing … she fast fast 😮💨
@@Taskmaster0696 Im not a track guy ... and to be honest I stumbled into some track and field videos ... but why would a sprinter be faster on an outdoor track? I would think the wind ... rain ... heat would effect all the athletes. Thanks.
@@jordim6271 multiple factors in favor of outdoor performance for the athletes to run faster . They’ll train indoors and by time it’s outdoors they’re ready for tip top performance . And then again outdoors doesn’t have that dastard of a curve that most of the athletes can’t run around without messing up their forms lol. And also outdoors has the warmth of the sun with always produces faster times cause it benefits their muscles .
@@Taskmaster0696 Never even thought about the track or the curve on the corners. Thank you!
What does 'turnover' mean in terms of this race?
The new queen of American sprinting. We love her! Class act.
*new queen of the indoor collegiate 200m sounds more like it.
And Classy too. Need more of those in american sports and not race-baiting hypejobs
@@acetofresh1 lol more what? Winners or GWH?
Relax...
Agreed. All class, all grace, and all speed.
Great run for ABBY STEINER. At the 5:27 mark, I think that sport reporter (John) interviewing ABBY was one of the hosts for the old tv show WIPEOUT. That was one crazy show.
Let’s go USA track & field! Love it! So proud of this young lady. After two serious injuries, surgeries and rehab. Remarkable.
Her turnover is like Evelyn Ashford's. I remember watching her as a young wannabe track star and just being amazed that anyone could move their legs that fast. It's a tough world for sprinters right now in the male and female divisions, but she is most certainly already in the top five in both her events.
Yes! you know your stuff Evelyn had great turnover due to that rhythmic arm swing that looks weird but it is powerful
Great point. I had forgotten about Ashford. Great running form. She never seemed to be straining.
Excellent young lady, best of luck and blessings to you and all the excellent competitors
Let's go Ofili🥳❤. Congrats to Abby also
Wow I predicted 22.15 because of the track and she ran 22.16. Now I am predicting 21.72 200m if there is good weather and wind in outdoor. She may even pull off the 100-200 double in outdoor !!!!!
I wanna see her do the 100/200/4x1 triple. We know Kentucky are good in the 4x4 but with A&M and Arkansas with some stronger runners it'll be just as hard to win.
Shut up
the way she was closing in the 60 if she gets a good start the collegiate record is gone in the 100 i think
So you think she’s breaking 10.78? No way. Just hope she can actually be healthy this spring.
@@letsssgooo4618 in the right conditions, i really think she could; as you said it’s a matter of health
Can't wait to see her as a pro. She's the next gold medalist!!!
Care to bet on that. Ill give you 100-1 odds and an infinite timetable
Womens 200m is stacked you have elaine, mbomba, dina ,jackson, shaune MU, shelky- anne, ta lou, gabby thomas and more
@@omardevonlittle3817 i will
@@omardevonlittle3817 HOW MUCH? 🤑 💰
@@efisgpr whatever you want. Gabby smoked her PR yesterday without comp.
Omg 😳😳 she is the best for me I love and support this girl from Philippines 🇵🇭😘👍
Her mechanics are super ! She needs to not over train just stay disciplined. Abby
Wow! These athletes are amazing. Abby is an incredible sprinter
Incredible!
Absolutely Phenomenal ⚡︎
I just discover her ( on youtube ) a month or so ago and I'm so in love with this young lady, Abby Steiner...Love her personality and her talent aka speed, WOW!!
Very talented
Steiner is only age 22. She’s got at least 3 more years to hit her prime.
21.80 outdoors for sure
When steiner is running she looks like she has puffed up muscles like bane. But when she stops running her body relaxes like it gets softer. I dont recall seeing someone's body be like that.
So amazing. It seriously looks like someone hit the fast forward button.
Fast times are great. Just hope she stays injury free.
Good running!💥--Abby
Let's get it!
Perfect form🙏
Fabulous
I like the side angles, then you can really see how fast they are covering ground when you can see them pass past the crowd.
Impressive wow
Fantástica!!!!, excelentísimo!!!!
Great runner
Cheers to top tier , Abby Steiner, absolute finesse and class on the track !
She just fricking flysssssssss get it Abby!
Abby steiner ...la gacela voladora...❤❤❤❤❤
Go Abby Go Go Abby Go!! Full turbo boost mode!! Go Abby Go!! 🌹 ❤️
I can see Anavia and Abbey moving up to the 400 heir apparent to Allyson. just noticed as I was typing there names all start with "A". lol.
Some of the best form I ever seen.
Love the way Abby runs.
Anavia Battles Stride is beautiful!!!
21.9 is coming! Go Cats.
She looks good through the hips, good knee lift nice stride. Good time too, though hers arms not enough dive needs a little work and will improve times.
@denvathecat Her arm motion has improved, but there is an old saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it, I would not mess with her form right now at all.
Would love to see a form breakdown for Steiner. Seems like shes got a shorter stride a generates more power having more opportunities to strike the ground. Also the hand position is more center. Just seems unique outputs withstanding.
Wow 😮💪👏💐
She's excellent form Anavia Battle 🕜👍
Yes she is fun to watch too.
Congrats Abby!
🔥 all day
abby my hero
Abby Steiner’s moving to another gear is extremely thrilling to watch. She is an extremely thrilling athlete to watch. I think women’s heart beat faster than Mens. I wonder how fast her heart was beating?
She is doing wonderful things on the track right now. I hope this continues when she becomes pro!
Can't believe it's already been almost 8 months since this meet!
Abby Steiner’s hands move exactly like Canada’s Andre De Grasse.
Beautiful, humble and fast. GOD BLESS ✝️. 🖤👽
I like this kid, hope in the future we are not disappointed about maybe taking something.
Damn man, her teammate didn't even come over to hug her or congratulate her at all 😳
Because they don't like losing to a white person.
Noticed that too; basic etiquette is now expecting too much.
She’s too used to coming in second I’d be salty too 😂
Expect the high 21s in late spring or early summer.
The US future track runner sensation. She is Unbeatable. Who is she?None other than the Flying Saucer-Abby Steiner.Congratulations is in order.
Now that she's turned Pro, I can't wait to see what this young 22 yr old woman does. By the time the 2022 world championships ended, she had run 57 or 58 races. Top-ranked pros usually run 15 to 16 races. Fewer races plus more training = faster times.
The Larry Bird of women's track.
This girl is amazing I like how she’s moving her two hand 😂😂
Her form is amazing and it looks beautiful. This race looked faster then 22.16, long as she can hold her form like that it’s going to be hard to beat! 21.9 next!
Her form does not look beautiful. It looks awkward and weird, but she gets the job done. Congrats to her.
@@ajrocks12x i guess you can show better form and times? She getting her arms up and her knee drive is the strongest on the field! Pls show me better!
@@ballen101 Look at Elaine Thompson, Sha'carri Richardson,
@@ajrocks12xElaine Thompson a pro for years now, plus she just move her shoulder different but knee drive bout the same! After that weed pop Richardson ain’t the same! So just one!
@@ballen101 Thompson has been running like this since she came on the scene in 2014 when she was just 22. It has nothing to do with her being a pro. Richardson was slow in the USA final because the weed was still in her system. Yet she still ran sub 10.9 at just 20 years old. Steiner is now 23 years old. Regardless of her weed smoking, Richardson does have excellent running mechanics and not the awkward looking mechanics of Steiner. Indoors is now over. Let's see what happens during the outdoor season.
22.16! My prediction was 22.20. My prediction for Adeleke was 22.87, and she ran 22.88 I believe. My predictions aren't doing terribly in the sprints.
Yeah, my men's Sprint predictions SUCKED...lol
Idk what was going on today with Boling, or Lang ...?? Boling looked gassed out at 150m, too many events, AGAIN.
But my goodness is ABBY an absolute BEAST on the track🔥🔥
Very excited to see her tear it UP on the Outdoor season. She's been waiting awhile now and she's ready to set more records.👍
No one cares
The 9 people who liked my comment cared. That's just facts.
@@timmytheinventor4746 your mom and me ended up together at the Hampton inn last night too, just the facts
@@Weezy10580 you must of, right?
Abby Steiner!!
Abby is great!👍
STEINER FTW!!!!!
Damn. I wasn't expecting a sub 22.2 from her at all. Still runs the 4th fastest time in history
She has a unique form with her arms.
That's the " secret."
Abby is extraordinary
Go Abby! Go Cats! 👟
Way to hustle.
What a true athlete Abby Steiner is. She is definitely one to watch. 😂 🤲
*If you took a shot every time she said "front-side running mechanics", how drunk would you be?*
Alright, Abby!
Abby Stiener read can't hurt me by David Goggins, because you can, your awesome 👏 ❤
This girl going places. Definitely. Although arm action not the best. Roy, watching from Cape Town, South Africa.
Top Shelf
Love the young lady from Ohio state
Abby will have to face Gabby when school is over let"s see how she does.
Your mind is screwed because you know she's coming lol.
Is not all about basketball 'we are proud of all our athletes
Abby Steiner just ran the 2nd fastest women’s indoor 200 metres in history. 22.09.
Years ago when I was in the military, we spend 2 months in Ethiopia and 1 month in Kenya. While there, we attended training sessions at the Legatafo Track and the Tamback. We saw many runners from Europe doing their off- season training at these sites. One thing we never saw was a single black American. Training for my team was all about endurance at higher elevations, not speed training. For the Europeans it was for both, the tracks were(are) dirt and the sessions were intense. Why am I bringing up this point?
And she's HOT ! Which is a really nice change for USA women's track.
I would love to coach her she’ll be a consistent 21. Runner
I bet you would lol
Explain your process of accomplishing that.
Pretty arrogant of you to say that, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
@@linoarquiza5433 what was arrogant in my statement?
@@deandean2010 If you gotta ask, then it's pointless explaining to you.
Wow
She is modest too
How many mph are they reaching?
I'm surprised her teammate didn't go congratulate her. 4:30
"Who won dad?"
"We all did son, we all did."
Why are they having this meet at Alabama for back to Arkansas or Texas a@m please we coulda saw a record
Ofili is doing well.
The look of the other athlete at 1:32 says it all...jealous
She will win gold at the Olympics. Just watch
Wow, not even close
Boy imagine if Steiner actually moved her upper arms when she ran!
Yea that form is odd but still working for her lmao
