Context for her reply? 400 and 800 completely different. 400 is for sprinters; 800 is for distance runners. Track teams even are split up and train differently, with sprinters 100, 200 and 400, and long distance 800 and longer. Distance does usually requires longer time of training to build up endurance while sprinters reply more on innate physiology, but still requires intensive training.
@@jeffzest8393 800 is typically called middle distance. It basically somewhere between sprints and distance running. As an "in between" event, African Americans sprinters sometimes move up to the 800. So, basically, this is kinda like an inside joke among African Americans who have some experience in track and field.

If she was in the wrong why didn’t she get dq’d… exactly Bc she wasn’t. seems to me like Texas was a little unsportsmanlike Bc she got passed. I’d be thanking Texas for the shove to the finish line though 😉😆
@@LaLa-yy5ek actually what was unsportsmanlike was for her to jump in front of that Texas runner and not totally clear her. The officials don't dq you for every incident but that still doesn't make what she did right. She could've caused the other runner to fall and lose momentum.

Congratulations to Diggs. I think she fouled the Texas girl however, even though that doesn't take from her time. Her interview was very good.

That's an interesting perspective! Note that Talitha Diggs from FL passed on the backstretch using lane 2 and shifted into lane 1 while entering the bend. Kennedy Simon from TX felt Talitha didn't have the right of way, cut her off, and stopped her momentum. Thus, the slap on the back. It brought attention to the situation and could have resulted in Talitha's DQ.
