    Abby is a proper sprinter. Every phase of her race is properly executed. She has awesome acceleration and top end speed and she has the ability to maintain the top end speed through the finish line. Note that I say... through the line.
    Many sprinters start decelerating long before the line. ..... and they try to dip or dive over the line.
    Sprinters run hard at top end speed through the line.
    The finish is 10 - 20m past the line.
    Usain bolt slowed down before the line in one big competition and it cost him a lot of time.!!!!
    His coach gave him a very stern talking to and he came out to the next race and blasted the competition and it was clearly shown in his time.
    From then on ......no slowing down before the line and no dipping and diving over the line. .... unless there is a threat on the line.
    Abby Steiner's coach is awesome. He/ she has got her listening, following instructions and accelerating properly and holding the top end speed endurance through the line.
    Her action is quick and cadence is awesome. She does not over - stride. She runs effectively within her stride length and pattern and she can hold a top end speed which is faster than the rest of the field, for longer than the rest of the field.
    Awesome 😎!!
    They have even got the acceleration, top end speed and speed endurance for the 200m spot on!!!
    Its wonderful to watch.
    And it's a lesson to all of the dedicated athletes who have the talent and skills but are scraping by...... and finishing behind Abby.
    She is the next superstar.

    Been keeping me pirate eye on Abby's races this year, and although her lateral movement in her arms and hands may look unorthodox.... it really doesn't matter, when she runs like the wind, and is as strong a finisher as there is in the bis.... S. Richardson could tell you as much.

      @@NYMannymanSpot on, my good man. Takes all different techniques, shapes and sizes to get down that track. Coleman and Lyles couldn't be more different(one can start, one can finish.) Young guns Laird and Boling have stride lengths that are oceans apart - as with Richardson and Steiner. But the overall rub here is that U.S. sprinters from 100 to 400m - are so DEEP at this moment in time.

      @@todd5260 We all know she "should". Did you have a confirmation that she got hurt the beginning of outdoors and couldn't train and gained weight? What about her arm swing? Her results in the 200m are phenomenal though , I just can't believe someone would coach that arm swing.

    • @todd5260
      @todd5260 Před 2 lety +3

      @@dennisrobinson8008 I have 100% confirmation she was injured last outdoor season. In fact, she was less than perfectly healthy when she tied Gabby Thomas’ collegiate indoor 200m at 22.38 last March. Her injury worsened during the outdoor (Apr and May) until she had to finally shut it down. She made an attempt at the East Regional, but wasn’t healthy enough. Your weight-gain comment is out of left field. She’s not a weight-gain type athlete or body type. Weight gain was NOT a factor last season. As far as her arm-swing goes…I mean, she’s being coached by a world-class sprint coach in Tim Hall, and her results are tremendous. Between him and her, I think they’ve got this whether anyone else approves or not. Her weight and her arm swing are simply NOT problems. Staying healthy is the only thing she needs to do. 🤞🏻 She’s a beast!!
