I love the way her arms move in the first 50 meters before settling into the more familiar action.
I noticed that, also, and thought that she looked a little rigid in doing so, but the clock is the ultimate judge, and 22.09 is fantastic!
I was thinking if that is something new she or her coach has found out to make running faster. New style, maybe we see other runners using that as well.

No coaching can make a runner fast, you need a specimen l Ike Abby, then you can tweak & train to shave some milliseconds, but basically, you either got it or you dont.
@@Mister8224 actually yeah good coaching and hard training does make someone fast. And untrained person can't even complete a 200m sprint muchless to do it in under 30 secs.

As a TRUE freshman, she almost won the SEC Outdoor Women's 200. She walked down S. Richardson and almost won. I knew then that she was going to run a sub 22.eventually. She will probably run sub 22 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene in June if she is pushed. BTW, it's #2 all time INDOOR 200 meters, not outdoors.
In that race She'Carri had run more races and didn't have alot of gas in the tank, she also let up of the gas like she always does after she feels she's dominated the field. She does that almost every race. But I remember that, it looked like Steiner would get her...
That freshman year put me on notice that she was the real deal. People keep sleeping on her and they will keep seeing her on the top of the podium

She reminds me of how the best racehorses hold themselves when they run, its pretty awesome to see. Their head doesn't move much, and the whole posture is like contained or something. That then allows them to power 'down' through their posture. Down not meaning to slow down, but transfer it down to the ground into speed. And just like the best racehorses they're still holding that posture and strength over the line.
While you see the other horses start to tire even halfway down the last straight, you see it first in the head movement then they start to come apart and loosen in there posture.
