Imagine a 4x400 with Sydney, Athing, Abby, and the teenager Diggs. The US Team is set for the next decade.

Not only would it be FAST but, really fast. It will be hard to break the world record, but I think with the right placement for all the runners, there is potential for that to happen. I would put Abby in the second or third leg because she runs fast when contested and people are around her. Athing is used to running fast by herself so she doesn't necessarily need other people around her to push for a fast time in the 400m. I would put Sydney on first leg and Diggs on second or third.
That being said, it is typical to put someone that is very experienced on the 2nd leg of the race. And I have not idea what level of experience these runners have on the second leg compared to other runners.
Also, this would be a really YOUNG team. So if they are consistently used with each other, they could really end up building a good team bond which would be nice to see.

And then there are Britton Wilson (I think her name is), the girl who ran faster than Abby in the 4x400 in the competition before NCAA's, where she also won the open 400 and 400 mh... that is also a big talent. (Maybe she was 4th in the USATF Champs 400 mh? Or better?)

@@niklasnilsson4705 everyone running the relays needs to be proven to consistently run sub: 49 second splits to get on the team.

@@fizzychizzy Just checked... Britton was 2nd after Sydney in the 400 mh... she has run under 49 in a 4x400, but maybe just once... but she's young, so she will soon be faster. And I don't think she will be in the 4x400 team for the final this time, but she will be in the future.
