"That teddy bear has seen some shit" 🤣 greatest movie reviews on CZcams😎
Cec Verrell delivers ass-kickings in all her films and usually a topless scene that explains her high ranking, Hell comes To Frogtown is one of the best ...
This is Fred Bailey writing in to say I really enjoyed your review! Very entertaining, well-written and well-put-together. It's an honor to have the good bad flick designation! I'll be returning to this site frequently from now on.
A footnote: there's no stock footage in the movie. We shot most of it in the P.I. of course, but they sent a small crew plus Cec Verrell to Honolulu to get some genuine Hawaiian shots. That shot of her crossing the lawn in a skirt was shot in Hawaii. I guess that's why they hold on the shot for so long--so you;ll know it's Hawaii! The stuff they shot in Hawaii is not particularly distinguishable as Hawaii, so I'd say they wasted their money. I wasn't invited to the Honolulu part of the shoot. Dang!
PS: the plane blowing up was a miniature!
Thank you so much Fred, I'm honored! I've really enjoyed your work over the years, I think my favorite is Wheels of Fire.
Wow, I had some bad info on that. I was under the impression it was just some stock footage. Nice to know they did go the extra mile to get some actual Hawaii footage. I know so many of these are shot in the Philippines, barely disguised as elsewhere. (or in the cases of the post apocalyptic films, they didn't even have to bother)
Bummer you didn't get to go on the shoots in Hawaii but considering the budgets, I know they like to keep from spending when they don't have to.
Thanks again!
@@GoodBadFlicks Wheels of fire is a great flick. Has everything you could possibly want from a B movie.
Did you see Red Letter Media's review? I would like to know what you thought about their opinion. They really didn't like it.
And the fight on the roof with cec verrell how was that filmed? Pretty good action movie!
This is such a cool comment...we need actual BTS info on such movies
"That teddy bear with the glasses has seen some SHIT!!":D
ive always loved the art of 80s vhs covers, and this film was a clear winner
"The Arc of the Sun God, that sounds right up my alley!" That line busted me up hahahaha
Only 95 seconds into this and i've already laughed out loud numerous times. God damn, your videos are always incredible, love the way you deconstruct these films. Just when i thought i'd unearthed and researched every hilarious / bad movie, you throw another one at me that i somehow had absolutely no idea about. Brilliant channel man.
Silk looks like the love child of Meg Foster and Kirstie Alley. As a child, I had a teddybear with sunglasses. He was blind, poor chap.
"Why do they call you Silk?" "Because I'm so f'cking SMOOOOTH!"
I binge watch a lot of Good Bad Flicks EP. Dang this is like film history with a lot of puns and fun. The heck, did not know there were a lot of films back in the 70s, 80s until early 90s were filmed here in the Philippines & Dr. Cirio ahh man.. I love this channel!!!!! Keep up the good work 😁🍻
Thank you!
@@GoodBadFlicks no sir.. thank you!!! Keep up all the puns and the comedic inserts even on horror films specially the "accidental comedy stuff" really gets me 🤣 I forgot to mention the metal band reference ahh man dang good stuff also the opening & outro song from pschostix noice..
i lost this channel for a while but i found it again. i love that you give production info at the end of the videos
I want that movie poster framed on my wall, replacing my worthless diploma *^*
i have a feeling it also replaced the wife and kids
Disastrous Dallas
savage
@@DisastrousDallas why would I need my wife or daughter when i have this to beat it too?
Arthas Menethil
🤣
This one is definitely worth a watch and it's going on my wish list.
Thought I'd recognised that chick. I remember her in that short lived series on ABC Super carrier. She was a pilot (with a chip on her shoulder) and wanted to fly jet fighter but since she was a woman the Navy wouldn't let her fly jet fighters and all she would fly were propped transporters. I remember that show came out a bit after Top Gun.
Never heard of this one, but I will certainly have to check it out soon :) Great work as always man :)
"was this door even on hinges?!" rofl dead
THAT THEME SONG SOUNDS AWESOME!!!!
holy crap I cant believe ive never heard of this gem from the 80s! the theme song was exceptionally wonderful. great video!!!
Silk has some nuggets in it but there are way to many dead moments. Silk 2 is awesome though. They crank up the action and sleaze and the fact that it's Monique Gabrielle (of Deathstalker 2 fame) makes it even better. The stunt-dubbling they had for her was just hilarious.
OMG, you were hilarious in this video, Cecil!! LMFAO!! Also, that Corey Hart joke was gold!
Holy shit! I realized that Mr. Tanaka's a well-known comedian here in the Philippines (Leo Martinez).
6:25 Joonee Gamboa. Another seasoned pinoy actor.
Awesome :)
Ok, I just really have to say that I absolutely love your intro. its 10/10.
These reviews are right up my alley. Awesome work. Look forward to "The Ark Of The Sun God" review.
Some of it definitely was shot in Hawai'i. The action packed sequence is her crossing Milani St. between the Aliiolani Hale and the post office. Google Map 335 Merchant in Honolulu to see for yourself!
Cobra Silk would be the most awesomest movie ever, if made.
nice tram car reference. I lived in wildwood for years when i ran the stone harbor and cape may movie theaters
I want this to be an '80s anime.
Go watch Angel Cop. It's much more insane than this :)
This actually does remind me of a few anime that Bennet the Sage reviewed. Mad Bull being the first that comes to mind
Okay, boom you're in Akira.
Woo, Wildwood, NJ!
Love your content! ^^
Tales of Silk's Teddy Bear: Fucking Smooth.
Oddly enough I will be watching Runaway this weekend. thanks for the upload, as always.
Man your videos are so good I wish you uploaded everyday
a minute in and i was lol ,the narration is on point
I was having flashbacks to Uncharted 2's train mission with that getaway scene
I work behind that building with the arcs when Silk is walking on the grass. That is a post office by the way.
Awesome film I recently just saw this film and I really enjoyed it and great review.
what makes this even better is that i now live in Aloha Land
"roll that hawayan stock footage!"
Great Video!
**Silk stalking across a pocket park** AMAZING! RIVETING! TRANSFIXED! NON STOP ASS-TION
That wasn't a cornfield. It's sugarcane!
Yeah, his "joke" becomes kinda stupid when he doesn't realize what Sugar Cane is. And Sugar Cane is all over Hawaii.....
OMG the Junkyard level. That sucked when playing the game. :) This film seems right up my alley. I know what I am watching this weekend. Thanks a bunch Cecil. :)
4:19 "At this point he really wants them to kill him. Yeap... DEAD!"
I just lost it!
This is criminally underated channel!
Some of the scene were filmed in Hawaii. The Harriet’s lei stand is my aunties lei stand.
NEVER STOP MAKING VIDEOS !!!! LoL Almost peed my pants
Silk was in the X-Files!
"'Cos I'm so...
...fuckin'...
*...smoooooooth.*"
you need to do a vid on hard ticket to Hawaii. between the shoehorned in nudity, the ridiculous snake and the credits being written on packaging paper it was quality cheese.
or 1 on barbarian queen.
Well, you're finally get your wish
Quality cheese?
This was such a funny review. Great entertainment.
That teddy bear with glasses has seen some serious shit lol Great vid Sir
"You know, i dunno why they call you silk"
"Because I'm so fuckin smooth"
In that case, they should call you Bald Head.
Thanks for the funny review.
mr circo santiago , what a legend
The real conversation we should be having is about the name Nick Nicholson in the opening credits
Will anyone recognize that "Watch the tramcar please" is a reference to wildwood new jersey's tramcars?
6:31 was waiting for that reference!
"She'll read you milk"??? WTF?
Im pretty sure Chin's Girlfriend was also in Savage Killers which was the original movie used in Kung Pow
'Because I'm so fucking smooth' - love it
02:07 Man, the noise that she would have generated in real-life while climbing, jumping, and moving about on that old metal roof?!
You most of looked under all the usual rocks for this movie.
I would love to see your take on Malibu Express!
This might be your funniest work.
To be fair full auto gun fire from a moving car is only slightly more accurate than shooting in the opposite direction of your target. She could easily expect to be safe enough to take her time to line up a proper shot.
This Director Really likes Mustang's in His Movies
wow. even before you mentioned cobra i tought:"gee this reminds me of cobra!" all that was missing is the matchstick between the teeth.
Wow that tram car reference. Wildwood NJ flashbacks
Ark of the Sun God is awesome and included with Amazon video. You would love it
I love cece!!!, she made a great action star, and she was cute too.
Was there a Wilhelm Scream in this feature?
It's Cec Verrell from _Hell Comes to Frogtown_ >:D
When you want to give some a nice slice of Pizza, make sure it's a big slice, and not a small one like in the movie.
I liked 'Silk II' starring Monique Gabrielle as well.
You forgot to mention bad dialogue as well Cecil. LOL!!!
This was a very entertaining movie. Silk was tougher than anyone in the movie, duh!! I liked your subtitles for the angry 80's rock song, but your best is still "Rainbow Ice" from "Rocktober Blood!!"
7:13 Wildwood tram car reference. Liked.
I want that theme song.
Cecil...you make Mondays great again
8:05 Best line in movie history.
LOL The guy at 1:53 has on almost as much makeup as the girl. LOL That's such a funny thing about 70s and 80s film productions is how much makeup the male actors wore.
Was that the REAL words in that opening song?
Looks like it was filmed on News Film Stock
I totally forgot about that damn junkyard level....
JustIntricate I wish I could say the same... sometimes I can still hear the blaster shots
Hahaha I guess my brain suppressed it for all these years...
One of my favorite games of all time. :-)
3:14 This guy is in the wrong movie! (Ace Ventura 2; When Nature Calls) 😁
Those corn fields are sugarcane. Hence the sugar mill.
Fun film. Great review! Indeed, she is so smooth she deserves some pizza!
2:35 Joe Don Baker did that in 'Final Justice' so not too hard to believe she stuck the landing
She was really hot, we need more badass female action stars today.
The original sequel looked even meaner. Doesn't make a difference to me really, but still :)
You should totally do the movies featuring China O'Brien
6:26 The Chosen One!
Weeeooooweeeee!!
How that APB on Corey Hart going?
When is the best and worst of 2016 coming? you released the 2015 list about this time last year, any chance of it coming sometime soon?
Are you ever going to do a review on Hell comes to Frog Town
The teddy with the glasses is blind...
Redletter Media just covered this movie on their Best of the Worst series (ep-68). spoiler... they did not enjoy it.
So you are going to review The Devestator next? Keep up the good stuff.
This movie would be a great concept for a remake in our modern times
Your TV/brain/eyes need calibration: no way is that an orange shirt worn by Silk, it's reddest-red.
Cec Verrell brings it and this is a fun movie.
