- Cherokee Indian does his interpretation of the Northern Traditional Dance, a warrior's dance. Includes a brief intro describing the dance. Visit www.LostWorlds.org for more info about the ancient Native American civilizations that existed throughout the Americas.
"A warriors dance, a storytellers dance..you will never see him turn a complete circle, never see him spin around because that's a sign of being lost..and you will never see him dance backwards as thats a sign of cowardice.. he always charges forward meeting his enemies, meeting his challenges, head to head."

I So love this dance ❤ 😃
❤❤🔥🔥❤❤💥❤
Sounds like my life beautiful description dance of the warrior I am really fascinated by the way human express themselves differently in life and it's experiences ☺️
I'm so glad this video is finally getting some notice. I shot it in 2003 or 2004 at the Ocmulgee Mounds Native American Festival in Macon, GA and posted it in 2007 and it never got more than a few views every month. Somehow the views have exploded over the past few weeks. Not sure how this has happened but I'm so glad it has.
Consciousness of who we really are, keeps expanding, and we hear the call of our ancestors, regardless of race. We are drawn to the last remains of our true essence, made manifest in this video, thanks to you, and this dancer.
Osiyo from the western tribe (trail of Tears descendants). We lost so much I look to the eastern band to learn the many forgotten dances and songs from our roots. Thank you for this. With all my heart thank you.
I like many others have been interested in native American music, dances, and stories of old. If you have more, please post. Many thanks for this post.
Hmm. My dad always said his grandmother was a "mounds" I thought he was wrong because the only Mounds I knew of was in Oklahoma and she was Not an Okie.
When I was in highschool we lived across the street from a church (Seminole Nation) sometimes in the summertime nights I would sit on our front porch listening to them sing and dance I assumed, my parents were concerned we would offend them if they had found out. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard...
Proud Cherokee here❤❤❤❤❤ many blessings to you All 🙏
Much love and light ❤
My Respect,to this so handsome Gentleman!!!.I loved his dance!!!.
Such a beautiful man and such a powerful heartfelt dance!
I'm Apache that's Real Cherokee yes 100 percent all the way to the redbone Cherokee salute

Native American lives matter billiejomooredavis@gmail.com
Every white person I hear say is Native American always says they are Cherokee LOL!!!!
liked the teaching of not circling and moving forward - that was super interesting
You guys can call him fake but honestly who’s in natural great shape and that face is probably the worlds strongest facial structure that’s rare
This is beautiful. He did such a great job.
I feel honored to see their dance and learn their ways People who hate what they dont understand are the ones who just dont get it!I am sad for them ...
Good to see the keeping of Native Warrior tradition still alive!💪👍
My name is Christina these are my tribe and people 💛 ❤. 100% Cherokee, HUBBY 100 % Ojibway. Wow what beauty we have.
Am not native American but I really do admire and love this how beautifully he did it
very good cherokee warrior! you should be very proud of your heritage, do not let it fade, always raise your head and the Great Spirit will always be alive!
Loved watching this dance. I am also Eastern Cherokee. My 5th Great Grandfather was Chief Running Fox Green. I grew up learning some of Cherokee culture including dance as I accidentally did a rain dance that produced a sudden rain storm at age 10 with my cousin.
Something very powerful about all of this that goes right into your soul.
Guess cuz they lived it thousands of years...dunno
I love how he dances with he's coupstick and thoses paint markings are beautiful too.
- What a true warrior 💛💚💜💙❤😊
Wowwwww amazing native dance love this sound and music 🌹❤️ American natives are true warriors
They have fire in their eyes 💓
He is so beautiful, such an amazing dancer.❤
He's like a human eagle at dance! I am missing going to pow wows! Watching this stirs my American Indian part of my heritage - Choctaw and Cherokee
Amazing dance !! And what a great dancer !! He's full of inspiration and spiritual feeling. A real powerful dance no doubt. Is a pity the cameraman was drunk...
He is one magnificent dancer in the ancient tradition! No colored feathers or manufactured Regalia...just a beautiful indigenous dancer!
I love him. Could watch all day!
Bobbi Wolfgang, your comment is an insult to the pow-wow participants who spend long hours over weeks or months to perfect their regalia, and spend time honoring their tribe or family by participating in their dancing. Be a good thing for you to learn what regalia and dance means to these men.
Tribes vary when it comes to dress and certain dances/traditions...but, I think that is normal for most people regardless of where they come from in the world.
You are so right, he's so excellent and so authentic and it's like going back in time. 👍
I agree. The pow wow scene is one thing and to me it seems a "generic Indian" I don't know what a Cherokee from pre-contact would look like but I would prefer to see the people wear their style of clothing, sing their songs with words in their language and dance their dances.
Sure Jim Porter, its a lot of work to make that "regalia" but it doesn't add to your tribal identity in my opinion.
@@Saguanay How can you speak for a Tribe from which you do belong? Tsk tsk. Jim Porter hit the nail on the head.
If you don't know what a pre-contact anything would look like, you can't say that anything they wear is "inauthentic".
A Native is a Native regardless of the dress.
Jeeeeeezus, folks be colonized.
That made me so proud, I just cried.
Great vocals and great dancing.
being scottish....i love tradition ....never forget
that was pretty awesome . im proud to of the cherokee tribe!!
We have to remember to dance forward.
You are my brothers and sisters. I want to say I love you all. I hope to visit with you all. God Bless. Wen I r the songs and singing it touch's my spirit

Syio @Constatine Aztro tohits. He is a very good dancer. I remember seeing this dance done by our eastern band brothers at our Holiday in Oklahoma. Regalia is a little different but he's osda. Strong. Wes comes by every now and then. Last time he did he rode his horse and shot his bow. It's always good to see real anitsniyvwi. Stiyu

He's handsome...good dancer too ❤
Women always cares for The look. Come on grew UP 🧐
Broly S What, you jealous because no one ever said that about you?! I don’t know how you can say that about women when men lust after women for one thing only! We women appreciate a handsome man but we aren’t necessarily “turned on” by looks only!
@@SKC193
Lol im not jealous why i should im a dancer too Cherokee are my brothers im a happy and proud of my brothers, i speak Lakota and Navajo my comment is not about the dancer its about the bad character of women. I just say the truth.if i see enviroment its always women who care more for the look and even fat girls have good lookin guys.the men shouldnt doo that.
@@kingbrolykingofallsayains3354 Lol..umm yup better be "Melvins" all the way

wado for putting this on here for people to see and hear. wado to all of you who were DECENT and RESPECTFUL enough to leave KIND, UNDERSTANDING and CLEAN comments about the Warrior Dance and the dancer himself, and NOT leaving comments sounding as if you were an animal in heat. wado,Ann Benson.
I would like to say I enjoyed that I have some Cherokee blood in my family line but I still digging in my family past to prove my great grandfather was from south Carolina in other words eastern band Cherokee
We are descendants of the Chickanonga Cherokee, Wolf Clan. Dragging Canoe is my 5th great grandfather.
Hello to all native Americans I love this dance so great
Вот это да-а-а-а! Чёрт....два часа ночи, залипла и смотрю!!!!!)))))) Просто невероятное чувство, такое лицо, танец, я потрясена!!!
How beautiful!!😍
" Well, he wosnt in dat one" That was great! 😛😁 and I didn't think I'd laugh today. 5am and tired n already at work..😒 you just made my day. Thanks! ✌🙌
Not only did he follow the river he fell in it couple times 😂😂
Absolutely beautiful touches the soul just beautiful to see the indigenous nations keep the traditions xx
These traditions were illegal until 1978, and had to be taught and practiced in secret. And even still today, the US gov is destroying native sacred sites and graveyards. They made it illegal to protest the Dakota pipeline, the one which just leaked 400,000 gallons of oil on the reservation.
Omg that's absolutely diabolical why can't theses people leave the land who it belongs to they knock me sick for 100s of years theses people have come along and stole land then except you live in places they deem fit to live on but don't give a flyin fuck about the real people one day they will pay for stealing the land of your ancestors Destroying Sacred sights the black hills all your beautiful native sights and now all that oil spilt on the reservation its a bloody crime thats what it is its a crime against the indigenous people my heart goes out to you and all your beautiful people ONE LOVE ONE NATION hope to god the government does something about this oil spill but they probably won't its not there people its happening too my prayers are with you all God bless you beautiful people ❤️💛💚❤️💛💚😘
beautiful .so pleased to see our people still doing dancing.
Великие воины племени Чероки, Вы- прекрасны!❤❤❤

I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT RHE MAN SINGING IS SAYING ! BEAUTIFUL DANCE !
Love the singer too. That is john grant jr. from birdtown. Look up the group
Birdtown Crossing. Dancer does a spectacular job as well.
I LOVE THAT AMAZING MAKE-UP THAT MEANS MANY OF THEIR WOMEN CRY FOR THE DEAD AND HE CRIES AS WELL IF HE SURVIVES!!!
Really? How did you find that out? Interesting.
Raise up great Spirits much love
Who told you that? First off it's not make up. Secondly they do not tell people what their markings mean.
I actually have both of those movies mentioned in my collwction among others and loved him in both. I didnt get to be blessed to be taught from my ancestors who still remembered our ways so im having to ask others im close to for help and take the time for self teaching. My lines are from warrior Alabama ive managed to trace that is. I love learning of my heritage and how to add its traditions and cultures to my families lives. Thank you for sharing videos like these.
Natives of your lands are a great people with a great culture. My culture was taken from the Romans and my people fought hard to preserve it but now there is little left over of it too. Peace and respect.
I 💜 Dancing w/ Wolves!

Beautiful. Amazing. Thank you. Thank you.
I can appreciate this cultural experience so much. Thanks for the upload 😀
Because of these great videos I have been blessed to compare dances of indigenous peoples from over the world. There are many similarities that are exciting to note. From Siberia to the Pacific Islands, and other land masses on this planet. There is so much we can learn about our common humanity when we take time to study our cultural experiences through music and dance. Thank God and thank you!!!
Beautiful. I loved it.
Beautiful! Native Americans ROCK!
I love watching The Warriors dance almost more than the highly costumed dances of the West. These dancers are amazing and having their outfits explained is just another bonus thank you so much for sharing!
This stirs your soul ❤
Much respect..real dance..love your videos..much respect from Croatia.
Such beautiful people.
Best dance I've seen.

He is so smoking 💞💞💞💕😍😍😍
I love Native Americans. Are you implying that he is smoking hot. Lol. Just kidding but he really is hot. I am thinking to myself, "is he married?" 😆
@@tjyvng5130 Please get your black ass outta here with that bullshit. It's hard to believe you black boys are so full of self hate. We're not Native Americans, we're African descended. And yes he's smoking hot. Look better than your ugly ass!
I love the song. The singer is so talented.
