      I admire you, Sir for your traditions and culture... and strength. To be on the receiving end of a Haka for an uninitiated should be terrifying; thin out the opposing forces.
      As a movie enthusiast (Ok, Star Wars) the character Boba Fett was one I had chosen to emulate, from the written word. When Jango Fett/ Boba Fett/ clone troopers were brought to life by your countryman Temeura Morrison and Daniel Logan I was impressed with their screen presence and and their good nature off screen.

      If you travel to Oklahoma in the summer you can go to a Powwow. There are 39 federally recognized tribes there. Every week there is a Powwow somewhere there. I lived there for 20 years and miss it so very much. I myself am a member of the Seneca tribe of NY, Bear Clan. 🐻 I have friends and family there. 💕

      @@paperroses7615 It is the studies that stated "The Cherokees tested had high levels of DNA test markers associated with the Berbers, native Egyptians, Turks, Lebanese, Hebrews and Mesopotamians. Genetically, they are more Jewish than the typical American Jew of European ancestry". Reason why Cherokees have lighter skin, and a monotheistic religion, unlike any other tribe, that is because they are of Hebrew origin, which is the reason why the Rothschilds supported them against Andrew Jackson. Way before andrew jackson signed the Indian Removal act, deporting the Cherokees to the west, Cherokees where expelled from the north by their Algonquin enemies.

    My family and I are native Americans, but aren't connected to our tribes (Northern Cheyenne and Cherokee), and that sometimes makes me feel very lost. Watching this, however, I feel like a bit of me has been found. It was a privilege to watch; thank you for sharing it.

    I love the way the announcer described the significance of the movements. No backwards movements because that signifies cowardice, no movement in a full circle because that signifies confusion. Very deep. An ignorant person watching this would never pick that up. God bless the Cherokee people.

    I've watched a historic video taken over a hundred years ago showing a tribe. MEN, dancing who perhaps were taught by the Old one's, very authentic!!! This dancer is the ONLY modern I've EVER seen who dances like the ancestors, low to the ground and without Red orange bright colors!!!! This guy is the real deal!!!!! I salute you My brother!!!!

      I lived in Iran for 3yrs and see no relation to the tribes in America. Although I do agree, we all have a right to follow our own culture and religion. The world would be so boring if we were exactly the same. I've enjoyed learning and living with so many diverse cultures. It saddens me that people can't live peacefully.

    At the moment I heard the singer's voice, the crying sought to come up. It triggered something deep inside me, a kind of pain - and relief.       I once heard a young norwegian woman beating a drum and singing very similar to American Indians, but it was original old norwegian singing. We all were indigenous people in the past.

    Such powerful, passionate, spiritual dance. To not move in circles or backward makes so much sense to the meaning.
    I wish I knew more about my Creek heritage. My great-grandfather was 1/4 Creek, 1/4 African (his dad) & 1/2 Irish (mom). My mother adored him and spent a lot of time with him. She says he spoke rarely and with an abbreviated pattern often associated with Native Americans. Although not formally educated, was extremely intelligent, an artist, even used to take her spelunking!
    Can't wait to meet him when i get to heaven!

    I am 25% Cherokee. I was raised in Wisconsin. I was only to a reservation once. I'm 35 now with 2 boys. I wish growing up I was surrounded by and on a reservation. I wish sooo badly I had the knowledge and knew our language and dance. When I watch and listen I feel it in my bones! Much love!!!!!

    Watching this warrior display the dance was so moving. I got goosebumps up and down my spine. I will never forget this! Since I was a little girl, I have been strongly attracted to the native americans, especially cherokee. I remember telling my mother that I missed that life. She did not know what to say to me. Thank you so much for showing this.

    This gentleman is a true diplomat for Native American affairs. His dedication to keeping his culture alive is commendable. Our government can't do enough to preserve our native American heritage and ensure all those citizens are well cared for. I also think it is commendable that you will never encounter a native American who has an inflated sense of entitlement.

      As a Canadian the culture is more than one group. First Nations in Canada have 170 different languages and the art etc I'd different fro East to West. Most of the American tribes first dwelled in Canada but left to settle in the US. This was of course thousands of years ago.

    I’m so proud of my people! We have endured regardless of what has been thrown at us or taken away. Our culture and heritage is rich and has more meaning than people know. Other indigenous DO understand however, and I take solace in that.

    Mr. Wichacha (forgive me if misspelled), thank you so much! That was truly beautiful. I can say that because I am not watching dozens of you preparing to come for me. Like many other Americans I have, and am terribly proud of, my Indigenous roots. My maternal great-grandmother was full Lumbee. She passed before I was old enough for her to teach me much about her past. She had moved far from her people when she wed my great-grandfather, a white man. I am hungry to learn more about our Indigenous Americans. Obviously, I will be subscribing to this channel. May the Great Spirit Father bless everyone involved with bringing this to the public.

      First the new people tried tot destroy them, called genocide, take their culture, property, land, and then put them in camps. They are called reservates, because I guess it sound less awefull.
      This happened not even that long ago. In Europe it happened in '40-'45.
      All those who started this are already dead. And nothing changed, there is still hate and fear for other cultures. And it breaks my heart...
      Thanks for sharing this, it is good to see there are still cultures left.
