That house is from the 50's for sure. The pink counter top and backsplash give it away. That was a very interesting house. Lots of money in those antiques. The fact that the roof wasn't caved in is a testament to building quality. As former roofer, I'm surprised Scotty didn't mention it. Thankfully that roof has preserved all of that cool shit!

Maytag washers were made in Newton Iowa near me. I met the guy who designed the oscillating transmission that agitates the clothes. He had a wooden model of it on his office shelf.

The typewriter is a Remington Standard No.12, 1920's. Valued between $100-$1,200, depending on condition.
The Organ's are Galaxy's, 1960's. Not worth much, whatever you could get for them.😊
The stove is a brand called "Home Comfort", 1910 or there about. $1,000 bucks or so.
No need to rush your rides. Enjoy each moment. Thank You for sharing this old house/business, very cool.
Keep The Shiny Side Up Brother! ✌️

It's a shame that nobody has saved any of that cool old stuff. That old wood stove/water heater will be priceless before long, the way things are going. As long as you have a saw, an ax, and a strong back, you could stay warm and clean . There's no telling how much that family could get for something like that typewriter and all those other things you found in that time capsule of a place!

Hey Scotty I met you in Sturgis this last year that washing machine could be possibly mid-50s. I seen one at a local auction that was brand new the man bought it for his wife in 1954 she passed away and he never even took the tags or used it. Their children brought it to the auction what a shame. I am a little older than you and back in the sixties I would help my mother we washed lots of clothes they never seem to wear out. I like that stuff you find in your travels. Take care will probably see you in Sturgis this year

Gday mate I'm of a generation down here in NZ that grew up where all our hot water came off the wet back on our wood stove at home, the old girl cooked everything on it from cakes, scones, biscuits abd sometimes bread
Us kids all had to take turns splitting and bringing in Wood for the stove yeah simpler times but good.

@@scootertrampscotty Back Boilers are still really popular in temperate climates, if you need to run a stove or open fire, a Back Boiler (a shallow steel box the cold water feeds into and the temperature of the water pushes it around the system, to your immersion tank, taps, and radiators take care of excess..) makes the most of what you're burning.

The type writer more like the 20 s to 40. If it was later the return handle would be on the other side
I bet if u would have pulled the stove plate up u would have found it was a wood stove that had been converted to gas. This was done a lot. Then they ran gas supply to hot water tank.
The wash machine was more like 30s or 40s. I base this on the square drumb. Was it electric? A lot of was machines back then had a small gasoline motor.
    Great vid!
    Thanks
