  • One of my favorite times of year is the Halloween season. I decorate the house each year and build different props for the yard. I try to make the house a fun destination for trick-or-treaters. This year I’m adding a jail to my Old West Ghost Town. Please check out my other DIY builds by visiting my website: www.cyborghaunts.com

Love Halloween, I've been decorating since 2016, but here in Western Australia, it's really only just starting to take off, and we are in spring when Halloween is here and it dose not get dark till 8pm ...so we have different problems...I love your facades...I am a fan 😁

Hi Lynette, glad to hear from a fellow Halloween decorator! I’ve been decorating since I was a kid, but it has been getting more elaborate the last few years. Thanks for the positive feedback! Have a great Halloween 🎃

"How much do you love Halloween?" Well, it's July and I'm watching haunt videos to get ideas, we've got a newly-delivered horse skeleton prop ready to be put together, and I'm picking up two cases of skellies later today. I think that answers the question, LOL! Very nice tutorial, and the jail looks fantastic. Layering the paint colors really helped it to not look "flat."

Lol, the answer is a lot. There are only so many weekends to plan, build and get ready. the year I did the hocus-pocus Sanderson sister house I started in March. The planning is half the fun I think. I’ve had my eye on that skeleton horse too. Thank you for the positive feedback.

I know I need to, I’ve seen many videos of haunts in California. Thanks for sharing.

Impressive, as well as your previous creations. I'll keep watching for new ones. Have you looked into PLC's yet? It's an easy way to automate with reliability. I can help if you contact me.

Hi CharleyL, I did look into them, and see great possibilities. These last few years I’ve taken up all my time with the facades, and haven’t been doing much prop animations. If I could do this full time, the sky would be the limit, but work gets in the way😉

@@CyborgVlog I fully understand work getting in the way. I had this problem too, until I retired and got the 4 kids grown and out of the house. I have been making exhibits for the State Science Museums. I help with the concepts, then design, build and program. I do everything except the graphics. They have a department for that. I'm a retired Automation Engineer (EE), but have a woodworking shop and photo studio of my own.

That sounds like a great way to retire. I hope you are enjoying it!
