    - Here I show a pair of chaps and chinks and explain the difference and advantages to each. Basically longer full length chaps are called chaps, shorter half length chaps are called chinks. Chinks are more of a working chaps, they are cooler, not as heavy but give some protection to knees, legs and grip in the saddle. Chaps are longer, heavier, give more protection to lower leg and tend to be warmer, better in winter, not so good in hot summer. Thanks to Candace for coming and filming.
    Wearing leather when you ride give you a better seat and more grip in the saddle. The fringe does many things like shake flies and bug off, protects from wing and cold, protects from sun, makes you look bigger and more threatening if you have to back off another animal or an aggressive horse, protects from sticks, barbed wire and other things that can stab, cut or scrape your legs.
