    You guys rock. I'm so jealous! Here's a tip for you I just learned myself a week or so ago. The breakaway cable should not be attached to the same place the safety chains go. Because if the receiver hitch itself comes loose from the vehicle (e.g. some Chevys are known to have weak hitch welds) that breakaway goes with the rest. On my Tacoma I have nowhere else to attach it so I'm going to drill a hole and attach it there. A carabiner or d-ring would help as well. Safe travels!

    Great job - make sure to emphasize putting the chocks under the wheels before unhitching from the vehicle (from the video we see it is chocked and you mention it in the end), but a lot of people forget to chock first before unhooking things .... you have a great system for packing up and setting up!

    We have the 19FBS and love it. We are adding a 1000-watt inverter ourselves. The dealer never showed us the rear panels in the storage area slide to give us access to that area and were always working through the interior by pulling the drawer out. We always use an external water filter so we don't have to mess with the internal filter. If you buy one, get the offroad package, the solar option and the hvac. Also, the wifi ranger works extremely well. WE use my cell phone as a hot-spot for it and the whole family then get's internet through the ranger without having to change their wifi settings every time we reach a new campsite. We can tow our 19FBS comfortably with a toyota 4-runner 6-cylinder anywhere at 59mph without burning too much gas. WE have towed our 19FBS up slopes in 4x4-granny-low that you could not drive up in a car by itself in two-wheel drive.. Rockwood sure has a winner. How do you two handle the table situation?

    You guys have been awesome and have inspired my family and I with our Geo Pro 19QB - a couple questions that piggy back off your video. 1st, how is the over all shower time with the stock 6 gallon water heater? Any tricks from using the LP to keep it going vs. the electric setting? We’ve been out in our unit a few times and ours also has the water meiser thing and i can’t happy a happy medium with a decent warm/hot water for any amount of time. Was wondering if you encounterd something similar and had a work around?
    The other question seems silly but i can’t find anything to help set the key pad for the main door>? i can’t seem to find anything online either, some help if any, would be great!
    FYI - first time i post PERIOD on anything youtube related but figured you all would be a good source of information!

    Thanks for the helpful videos! Quick questions for you, have you been able to run the heater during cold nights and keep the temp comfortable without using too much of the battery and propane? Just trying to get an idea of how often I would need to fill up the propane tanks if we are boondocking in a colder area that still has sun during the day to charge the batteries. Thanks again for all the great videos!

    Hi Guys...We got our GeoPro 19FBS about a month ago have had it out only once but love it (also love your videos and life vlogs)! Our tow vehicle is a 2018 Toyota Highlander. It does have a V6 engine but it did not have a tow package. It seems to do a pretty decent job but just wondering how your Jeep is equipped and if you find it adequate, since you've been everywhere (and that's where we want to go)! Hope your healing is going well and thanks!

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  Před 5 lety

      Gee West Hi & thanks for watching! We have a V6 Eco on the Jeep with the factory tow package rated at 6500 pounds. It seems adequate for all environments - there are times on hot days in the mountains that I’m sure a V8 or diesel would be better but the V6 is “adequate” :) I don’t think you’ll have any problems and realize on those steep mountain grades the speed limit is usually 35-45 mph anyway plus usually two lanes going up & one going down... off road you’ll be going slow (like 5-15) so I don’t anticipate you’ll have a lot of problems :)

    Hi guys my wife and I purchased the exact 19fbs and we love it. I was wondering if you use a brake controller and the weight distribution or sway control. I tow with a Ford E350 Super Duty van and thinking I might have overkill. I use all of the above. I'm switching vehicles of the same type but wondering if I need to move the brake controller mostly.

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  Před 5 lety

      Randon Fawcett We use the brake controller - it’s always on & we especially use it downhill in the mountains and you won’t need the seay or weight distribution at all:)

    • @googlemustdie
      @googlemustdie Před 4 lety

      It's a good idea to have a brake controller. We tow it with a 4-runner. your F350 should be plenty, but the break controller makes sure it's never pushing you. Tacoma makes a really good one.

    We had the screws come loose on the door lock. blue threadlock fixed that. We also had a screw come loose on the metal trim on the front of the stove glass, again thread-lock. We had one of the back bolts on the stove-glass come loose, again threadlock fixed it. We needed to use a APAP when boondocking and were able to plug an inverter into the 12-vot receptacle for the tv. We could not run the electric heater and the inverter for the APAP or it would trip a breaker, but we could run the gas heater.

    Hey guys! Just picked up my 2019 Geo Pro today ❤️ One question...I’m hearing a fan noise behind the panel inside the closet with hangers. All power has been disconnected. I’m assuming it’s running off of stored solar power. But what is it??

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  Před 5 lety

      Sheri McGill Hmmm, I’m not sure about the new models - our fuse/electrical panel is located under the fridge on a black panel and has a cooling fan that will sometimes turn on... I “think” it’s probably something to do with electrical cooling or the inverter, but ours doesn’t do/have that, so I’m not sure 🤷‍♂️. Let us know if it stops or if you figure out what it is:)

    Why did you cross your chains on top of the hitch instead of below it? Doesn't this really defeat the purpose of the crossed chains? seems to be more of a potential safety hazard than serving its real purpose when hooked up as you did. Not being critical in the least, but just pointing out something to consider thinking about.

    Really glad I found your page! I have a trailer I pull with my Silverado and was thinking of getting a GeoPro. Any insight would be great.

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  Před 5 lety

      indieelement What is the towing capacity of your trail hawk? It should be at least 4200# to tow a 3200# 19FBS. I’m about to do an episode on sway & towing.

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  Před 5 lety

      indieelement Our Grand Cherokee has a 6500# tow capacity w the eco V6. We had plenty of power 90% of the time and adequate power 99% of the time even in the mountains in high temperatures. We Never had sway problems below 65 miles an hour. Another thing to keep in mind is that when you are in those high mountain areas the speed limit is generally 35 or 45 mph so performance is usually not a factor

    • @googlemustdie
      @googlemustdie Před 4 lety

      We tow our 19FBS GEOPRO fully loaded with a toyota-4-runner 6-cylinder. It handles it very nicely at 59mph down the highway without burning too much gas. I have towed the trailer *fully* loaded in 4x4-granny-low up things you could not drive up in a 2-wheel drive 4-runner. The offroad package is excellent and the hvac and solar are awesome.

      The sway bar came in handy when we were crossing New Mexico and the crosswinds were crazy. We actually passed a tow behind rig that had flipped over due to the winds. They did not have a sway kit installed. We currently tow our 19FBS with a GMC Canyon Diesel with 7K tow capacity. We also used it on our V6 GMC Terrain with good luck. We were actually over tow capacity with the Terrain as it is rated at 3500 lbs, but it towed great with the weight distribution. We went from Indiana to the OBX with no issues.

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  Před 5 lety +2

      Candace Seets Dont worry about the jockey wheel - it sucks! We usually use a flat T bottom that is much more solid. The jockey wheel came with our unit and we just used it to look more “standard” because we thought that’s what everyone had:) I guess I does help a bit when maneuvering the tongue if you’re dropping it in a tight space like a driveway or garage. I would think you could pick one up on amazon or most RV dealers:)

    Great Video! It seems you guys do mostly "boondocking" but I had a question about the GeoPro's sure power set up. Is there a power cord (30amp) that is already attached (or comes with) the GeoPro for electrical hookups? If so what is the length? Do you "hook up" 120v? If so, would love some info regarding that process. Thanks in advance! Happy trails!

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  Před 5 lety +1

      aiir media We don’t use the sure power set-up for an external solar panel so I don’t know the details. There’s a power cord that comes with the Geo Pro to hook into AC power, but I don’t know enough about the plugs/adapters or what solar power source requirements you’d need - sorry for being so unhelpful but we just use the roof mounted system from the factory. Try the GoPower website or maybe another viewer will comment and have better info :)

The manufacturer Sid’s that it will void the warranty so we didn’t go that route. I’m pretty sure anything you “add” will void the warranty, but if you feel it’s safe and makes sense to you, that’s your choice as the owner;) I’ve talked to Geo Pro when I was going to do the scooter ramp & one of their concerns was the “unknown” affect it would have on sway and center of gravity. We ended up modifying the area under the sofa for extra storage & building a ramp to store the scooter inside🤷‍♂️
