I am a former republican, that changed to independent when DJT was elected 8 years ago, because I could not be part of a party that supported that madman. Through the years, I have voted for republicans and democrats both. I voted for both Bush's and I also voted for Obama. I refused to vote for Trump, but also did not want to vote for Biden. My views are pretty centralist on most issues, as I do not veer hard left or hard right. I watched the DNC, but my expectations were pretty low, and I did not intend to be impressed. I loved the Obama's speeches and thought that would be the highlight....but HOLY COW...this guy...I had never heard of him before this night, hadn't even paid much attention to Harris' pick for VP and didn't even know his name. He felt so real, so down to earth, so relatable, so passionate, so kind, so inspiring! He sold me and got my vote!

I am a former republican, that changed to independent when DJT was elected 8 years ago, because I could not be part of a party that supported that madman. Through the years, I have voted for republicans and democrats both. I voted for both Bush's and I also voted for Obama. I refused to vote for Trump, but also did not want to vote for Biden. My views are pretty centralist on most issues, as I do not veer hard left or hard right. I watched the DNC, but my expectations were pretty low, and I did not intend to be impressed. I loved the Obama's speeches and thought that would be the highlight....but HOLY COW...this guy...I had never heard of him before this night, hadn't even paid much attention to Harris' pick for VP and didn't even know his name. By the end of the speech I had laughed and cried, and wanted to roun out and sign up to whatever he was a part of! What an incredible speaker he is! But what drew me in, was his normalness. He felt so real, so down to earth, so relatable, so passionate, so kind, so inspiring! He sold me and got my vote!

Though his speech is not as polished as the Obamas, what touches me is his genuineness and dedication to serve the community with his heart and soul.
