Unfortunately all the lovely things he is advising for the first 7 days is most of the time impossible when the newlyweds are living in the husband’s parent’s house. There is no privacy for them outside their bedroom and even the parents ( most of the time the mother) will complain if they spend more time together in their bedroom. Talking from own experience. It just ruined my relationship with my husband even before we could build a good one. So to all the men who are thinking of getting married, please make sure you can afford to have a separate home with your newlywed wife so that you could bond with each other which will be beneficial for the future of your marriage.

My husband was living with his parents so I had to stay there for first few years before finally we moved out. And also we wanted to go away for a few days couple of weeks after our marriage but his parents didn’t allow.
@@fahimal9417 i agree that it takes more than 7 days to build a strong relationship and sad that you had stay at your in laws house for some years before you finally moved out. the best solution was maybe that you and your husband lived at your parents house and and first 7 days go to a hotel and afterwards try to meet eachother as possible and then move to your own house when you guys were finacially able? i would never stay at my in laws house, but that is just my personal prefference. glad that it worked for you both in the end sister

How to deal with parent being angry and emotionally abusive to forcing me to marry who he wants me to marry. Im doing the best i can by standing up for myself but it really takes a toll on me mentally. Especially because the parent is supposed to be an emotional support for their child. Instead my dad is my trauma.
Salam In islam it is Haram to force someone to marry. The marriage is invalid if it is done by force. Forced marriage is Haram. I don't know why some people think it's not.
