      My take is this: The new iPads will be using a modified M3 Processor called the M3 Plus. It’s basically an M3 but with the A17 Pro’s Neural Engine, giving it twice the AI/ML power. And that the new Apple Pencil 3 will have a feature that will work on the M3 Macbook trackpads as well!

    • @N1CO-NINTENDUDE
      @N1CO-NINTENDUDE Před dnem

      I keep hearing it’ll be M4 Chip because M3 is made on nm node (N3B) that the rest of the industry skipped. Also it’ll be easier for Apple to keep manufacturing a M4 chip (N3E) that will be supported by the rest of the industry.

I keep all my textbooks on my iPad & do all of my assignments on Goodnotes. Obviously I use iCloud too but I'd like to have sufficient storage onboard. & I'm definitely getting the new Apple Pencil & Magic Keyboard with the new iPad. The ultimate device would be an iPad Pro 12.9 that uses iOS when held as a tablet but then it changes to macOS instantly when magnetically attached to a special keyboard cover. It would eat into their other product line but this is about as good as it can get.

    Here’s what I think Daniel: most of us don’t use the iPad as a professional tool because they just don’t measure up compared to a laptop, I mean, obviously an Apple laptop, just to be sure. So I suspect most of us will upgrade, if we upgrade, to the regular non-pro iPads. So I actually wonder why you didn’t spend any time discussing those. I personally have preferred the iPad minis since they came out way back when because they are so much lighter and more practical. If I need a bigger screen, I go to my 15” laptop. Also, I did buy the Apple Pencil 2 for my iPad mini 6, but the truth is, I rarely use it. And finally, I don’t really see the advantage of the new location of the camera. You don’t really have to rotate the entire iPad just because the camera is on one side of the screen. It hardly makes any difference so when I use it, almost exclusively for FaceTime conversations, the iPad is in landscape mode anyway. Hope that’s enough feedback Daniel, thanks for your review.
    Oh and one more thing: about the price. It used to be that the price was always the same for the latest model with the older models dropping in price, so this is new. If they happen to raise the price I will be plenty pissed off about that. We spend enough on Apple, and they should appreciate that and not try to keep skimming us! The actual consequence has been that we just upgrade less often!

    Thank you for the update, I also got an email about the event. Looking forward to seeing what all the new I-Pad Pro will have. I am hoping for a higher capacity SSD, like 4TB. I had gotten 1TB on my M1 I-Pad Pro with the Cellular option, and I plan to keep that option but instead of one TB, I am going to get at least 2TB, (hopefully more than 2TB). I am out of room on the 1TB, which is part of the reason that I will upgrade, the other is larger screen size and the camera on landscape instead of portrait which makes sense. All that and a newer M3 chip as well as maxing the ram as well. I am looking forward to this new I-Pad Pro, and plan to trade mine in for the newer one.

      There are definitely some benefits for the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement, but you might find that things like Final Cut Pro, or LightRoom Classic may be better to use on a MacBook.
      The iPad is a great device, but in some use cases the OS lets it down. You definitely can do most things on the iPad, but some of the software was intended for the MacBook

    Seems Apple has changed their strategy of being secretive, if you look at the blue logo of their event there's the spelling of Air (iPad air l , and there's the logo with a pencil (iPad pro and new apple pencil), if you know why they've changed, let me know in the comment. 😂

    • @Jorda5s
      @Jorda5s Před 9 dny

      Probably knew being secretive about a iPad only event would disappoint people and they wanted to announce the event before it got leaked. They still haven’t said anything about what iOS 18 will have and wwdc. iPad rollout has been a lot more straight forward cause the clientele isn’t upgrading. They want to build hype.

    This video needs updated. At least in the iPad Pro 12.9. I believe the 12.9 2024 is being discontinued. The 13" iPad Pro will be taking it's place with the new M4 chip. We will see on May 7th when iPad's Keynote presentation.

    "Artificial intelligence, or AI, is technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human intelligence
    and problem-solving capabilities." Now, even basic image processing functions are considered AI - at least for companies that are marketing their products or general media.

  • @StanimirDoranovic

    With iPads, it's not about the HARDWARE but the SOFTWARE. Spending $2,300 on a new iPad Pro with a pencil and keyboard (plus Apple Care insurance) makes absolutely no software sense UNLESS Apple finally allows MAC OS (or at least a similar version of the software) on the iPad Pro, which would finally make it an alternative to a laptop. Having iPhone software with baby apps compared to MAC OS on a device that looks and costs like a laptop is simply a test of intelligence for buyers, and they could install not an M3 but an M103 chip, but such an iPad is absolutely useless without the appropriate software.
