Do you think we will ever get improved file management?
My take is this: The new iPads will be using a modified M3 Processor called the M3 Plus. It’s basically an M3 but with the A17 Pro’s Neural Engine, giving it twice the AI/ML power. And that the new Apple Pencil 3 will have a feature that will work on the M3 Macbook trackpads as well!
I keep hearing it’ll be M4 Chip because M3 is made on nm node (N3B) that the rest of the industry skipped. Also it’ll be easier for Apple to keep manufacturing a M4 chip (N3E) that will be supported by the rest of the industry.
I don’t know if it’s just me but this AI stuff is a bit boring 🤷🏾♂️
You are not alone. It is getting really boring.
Idgaf about ai features.
Someone tell companies to shut the f**k up about AI
Absolutely
So far - yes. But it's just the beginning. ✨
so now until ipad is launched, this guy will create 100 videos speculating absolute bs
Bingo
Well, people will watch it in pure anticipation. No one is forcing you to watch 🙂
Yup I downvote these regurgitating videos by default for wasting peoples time.
Exactly
I’ve got the iPad Pro (11-inch) (2nd generation) 2020 still going strong 💪😁
As a college student who uses their iPad for everything, I'm so stoked for the new one! I hope the base level has 256gb of storage. I keep all my textbooks on my iPad & do all of my assignments on Goodnotes. Obviously I use iCloud too but I'd like to have sufficient storage onboard. & I'm definitely getting the new Apple Pencil & Magic Keyboard with the new iPad. I just paid off my Best Buy card for this very reason lol. I can't wait to see what's coming!
Oh my gosh that is so funny I’m a college student and I work at Best Buy so I know exactly how you feel😂
Just wondering, do you use your iPad as your computer or do you also have a computer as well as it?
if the iPads getting thinner am concern about (durability) wise, will that make it easer to bend?
The ultimate device would be an iPad Pro 12.9 that uses iOS when held as a tablet but then it changes to macOS instantly when magnetically attached to a special keyboard cover. It would eat into their other product line but this is about as good as it can get.
I definitely need to upgrade at this point… I’m still using an 9.7 inch IPad Pro from 2016… I’m really surprised how long it’s holding up but 2 gigs of ram in 2024 isn’t cutting it these days lmao
I was planning to get a M2 11 inch. Guess I changed my mind after M3 Pro got announced
I have my 9.7 inch iPad Pro first generation I just charged up this morning and I still use mine on a regular basis
@@shardyshard22 ipad 2 here and its outdated so badly 😭
I have the 2018 12.9” and still love it. Depends how good this is. Would consider upgrading for the first time since 2018 though as mine is a bit battered and bruised…
For a second, I saw iPad 2024 and thought it was far in the future. Time has flown.
Bro legit ...feels like good times are over
Is it worth getting a new iPad if you have the 2021 iPad? ALSO ⚠️. Anything on the iPad mini?
Definitely planning to update. The iPad Pro is hands down my all time favorite device and this is finally going to be the update I was hoping for in 2022. Pretty excited for it to be honest.
My 2018 ipad pro i bought in college still gets the job done, and i graduated and just use it f9r youtube and podcast and gymming on the treadmill
Here’s what I think Daniel: most of us don’t use the iPad as a professional tool because they just don’t measure up compared to a laptop, I mean, obviously an Apple laptop, just to be sure. So I suspect most of us will upgrade, if we upgrade, to the regular non-pro iPads. So I actually wonder why you didn’t spend any time discussing those. I personally have preferred the iPad minis since they came out way back when because they are so much lighter and more practical. If I need a bigger screen, I go to my 15” laptop. Also, I did buy the Apple Pencil 2 for my iPad mini 6, but the truth is, I rarely use it. And finally, I don’t really see the advantage of the new location of the camera. You don’t really have to rotate the entire iPad just because the camera is on one side of the screen. It hardly makes any difference so when I use it, almost exclusively for FaceTime conversations, the iPad is in landscape mode anyway. Hope that’s enough feedback Daniel, thanks for your review.
Oh and one more thing: about the price. It used to be that the price was always the same for the latest model with the older models dropping in price, so this is new. If they happen to raise the price I will be plenty pissed off about that. We spend enough on Apple, and they should appreciate that and not try to keep skimming us! The actual consequence has been that we just upgrade less often!
I bought the 2018 iPad Pro in January 2019. It still serves me very well and obviously even had USB-C and 120 Hz back then. I’m so glad I bought exactly this product that I will stick to iPad Pros forever! And I still have a MacBook Pro …
yeah but the volume of small and large businesses who buy iPads as fleet devices is not an insignificant margin.
Love my iPad Pro. No need for a Mac.
@@makeitrainnaren Yes... I said "most of us", not "all of us"...
On the other hand, Apple would not take two years to update their models -for the second time, if iPads sold like iPhones.
@@FemaleVillageElder Your preferences, not mine. Have you ever owned one, used one? If not, it explains your perspective.
Classsssss!
My Fold 5 replaced my iPad. If I decide to switch to iPhone this year, maybe I'll consider an iPad. I would definitely buy an iPad Pro Mini with Pro-motion OLED screen and all the upgrades coming to the new iPad Pro lineup.
Can’t wait for new iPad Air
Me too
Me to
I need the computer background in my life! Where do you get that!?
I have a 2021 iPad Pro. But your presentation is the only one that is succinct, comprehensive, and timely. I will be buying two of these, with the new keyboards and pencils.
Thank you for the update, I also got an email about the event. Looking forward to seeing what all the new I-Pad Pro will have. I am hoping for a higher capacity SSD, like 4TB. I had gotten 1TB on my M1 I-Pad Pro with the Cellular option, and I plan to keep that option but instead of one TB, I am going to get at least 2TB, (hopefully more than 2TB). I am out of room on the 1TB, which is part of the reason that I will upgrade, the other is larger screen size and the camera on landscape instead of portrait which makes sense. All that and a newer M3 chip as well as maxing the ram as well. I am looking forward to this new I-Pad Pro, and plan to trade mine in for the newer one.
I was going to upgrade my IPad Pro but because pricing seems to be going up it may be better to buy the current one instead.
I currently have the 2021 M1 iPad Pro 11”, 256gb. With the Magic Keyboard and 2nd gen Apple Pencil. I find it mostly use this for content consumption and I use my MBA for work. So, for me it is a wait and see, but initially i dont expect to upgrade at this time.
is it support the old apple pencil?
Any info on if the new 13” iPad Pro would potentially be compatible with the last gen 12.9” Magic Keyboard? I know we will be getting a new Magic Keyboard, but the iPads should only be 1-2mm in side difference
What is the price of this new ipad pro
I can't wait for the new iPads so I can pick up a slick deal on an older re-furbished one.
U said it buddy 😏 But damn the refurb prices here in Denmark hold up pretty good. I'm all in for used stuff but it makes it hard when there's only a 20-25 % discount for a 2-3 year old device.
Looking FWD for the reviews, if the screen is that much better I will upgrade from my M1 Pro.
Hi. Great video! My question is: do you think I can replace my old MacBook Pro with an iPad Pro and be happy with it? Not working with the thing, only starting to use it for video recordings and editing, using a small drone in my camping trips…for that money, worth it? Thank you!
There are definitely some benefits for the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement, but you might find that things like Final Cut Pro, or LightRoom Classic may be better to use on a MacBook.
The iPad is a great device, but in some use cases the OS lets it down. You definitely can do most things on the iPad, but some of the software was intended for the MacBook
I’ve been looking forward to the OLED display forever. Since I travel as much as I do, the iPad is my main video entertainment source, and I’m expecting that these new displays will knock it out of the park. Also, since I travel, I need more videos downloaded and I’m also going to take advantage of the new maxed storage option (I’m guessing 2TB on the 11” model).
It's such a cool idea to make this giveaway about creativity. Love that! :D
I felt super inspired by it and would love to bring my idea into this! Good luck to everyone!
looking for ipad M3, but not sure about oled ( if such appears)..Because yellow color can be issue..
Would mag safe mean glass back?
Will the new iPad Air finally catch up to the iPhone 13 (!) and come with a base storage of 128 gb and Face ID?
My iPad Pro 10.1 is due for an upgrade although it still works like a charm
I wouldn’t expect any AI in this update. Most of ios 17 and ipados 17 is final. Any changes to the core os would require substantial modifications hence the announcement on wwdc.
I bought and iPad Air one year ago, which means 4 more years before the next upgrade season
I’m excited for the launch but I’m happy with my 12.9 M1
The main issue I have pertains to the usability of apps like Outlook and Excel. I wish it was much better in that regard.
I’ll upgrade if my 11 inch that I got earlier this year breaks.
Why fix what isn’t broken?
I’d love to upgrade to one of those new iPads, but honestly, the lineup (accessories included) is already quite expensive… So considering an increase of the prices, I am quite concerned. I’d love to see a compatibility for those new iPads with the older Apple Pencil. So that way, we can just spend money on both new iPad and Magic Keyboard if we wish so, and not spend hundreds of bucks on an entirely new lineup of accessories
I’m wondering has there been any mention that the new iPad Pro will have a M4 chip?
"Texture won't come anytime soon"... And yet, if you look closely at Apple's image of the hand holding the pencil, you can clearly see texture in the colours so maybe...
Bought a refurbished 2018 a year or 2 ago, not really seeing a reason to upgrade. Probably only time I will is whenever iPadOS drops it. Which may actually be sooner than later, but we’ll see.
Personally I am looking forward to the new IPad Pro, I've got an old iPad from 2018 and now's a perfect time to upgrade.
Am still good with my ipad air 4….as long as I can use goodnotes and notability then I am all set…
Oled screens? Hope they dont use pwm like samsung to adjust brighness causing headaches etc to people who are sensitive to this flickering
I think let loose maybe means we won’t need dongles anymore so more ports? That’s the only plausible reason I would upgrade from my m1 iPad. It does everything I need it too I was disappointed they software locked the hover feature to the m2 I hope they don’t do that for more features going forward. I won’t upgrade for a year at least when the price drops.
Still 12.9 inch for pro?
If I'm not wrong it's just for direct damage. Right? I mean like if a car hits a wall you/car owner needs to repair it. Right???
5 MM! Holy cow! That’s too thin! I would be really worried about bending! I hope they avoid a repeat of “bend gate “😱 otherwise, super looking forward to a hopefully awesome OLED display!
5mm wouldn’t be a problem if Apple had Samsung hardware.
so will the new ipad pro 12.9 has those OLED burn in protections like auto hide taskbar, animated wallpapers, pixels refresh, conditionings, etc?
because you know, it's OLED and burn in WILL happen, sooner or later.
also, will apple provide 3 years burn in warranty like dell & etc?
i rather stick to miniLED or perhaps in the future, microLED.
Still some that live in 2014 😂
I don’t see Apple improving any battery on this device. Literally the iPad is at this weird spot on their lineup it’s just stupid at this point. They are scared to kill the sales of the Mac books but the iPads could just be a surface like computer.
But they aren’t doing this.
Apple is just frustrating with their devices sometimes. They should swap CEO
One very important question I have is - why should I get a new iPad Pro with all the accessories if they are gonna potentially be the same price as a base 14” MacBook Pro?
some people may need writing tools or art
As a tablet collector , my answer is yes, I will be purchasing the new iPad Pro and all of the accessories that comes with it. I know it’s gonna be expensive, so I will be saving up for it and if Apple will have an 11inch out , I plan to get that one as well
Gurman will say he always predicted it
I'm content with my 12.9-inch iPad Pro from six years ago unless significant upgrades are available.
Desperately waiting for new iPad Pro 2024!
It’s a pity if the new Magic Keyboard doesn’t work with m1 or m2 iPad Pro 😢
Will it Warp like the 6th gen iPad Pro 12.9 ?
I’ve had mine since it launched and it hasn’t warped lol nor have I ever heard of it warping…
@@itsdtxjd thank you on one video they reported keep iPad in backpack it warped would not lay even to table.
I have iPad Pro M1, and I’m fully satisfied with it.
Anyways there aren’t much app which demands for more power as in new iPads .
All that is great but I would love 2 thunderbolts ports🎉
magsafe is probably not going to happen, because magsafe only supports up to 15w charging which is not even close enough to charge the ipads reliably. It would just be very inneficient and slow and it would mean that the backside would have to be made out of glass which would be not so nice imo.
Battery Health feature only available for the M3 iPads 😅
All I want is a iPad mini pro and mini pen that would be awesome
At the end of the day, the cost of all Apple products is becoming the real limiting factor. I could afford to upgrade my 12.9” 2022 M2 iPad Pro, but am getting more and more resistant to doing this as regularly as I used to. What with an annual update on my phone (the one thing that I do most years), the apple watch, iPad Pro, and Macbook Air, there is a cost to being in the Apple ecosystem that is frankly prohibitive nowadays…..
I wish for them to not be too thin; I’m afraid it would bend when I use it to draw or that it will have poor battery life
I definitely need to upgrade but the cost of a 14 mbp is about the same as iPad at 1TB so maybe I should just get that?
Get the mbp
Depends on your needs. iPads are more versatile for multiuse and they are more “travel-friendly”. I use my iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil daily in my classroom and at home. When my students ask if they should get an iPad or a laptop/Macbook I tell them that if they can only get one to get the iPad because it’ll be invaluable for note taking and using the full Google Suite for their classes, in addition to being able to have books, PDF’s and other docs on it to annotate.
4:46 I thought that the best screen Apple made was on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 with its 3000 nits.
Try watching a movie on that screen lol
Apple doesn’t make screens lol
In East Asia, iPads and Apple Pencil are REALLY important due to their writing systems. Is it any coincidence that they are moving the time to 7am in California, just in time for people out in East Asia to be able to view the presentation before they go to bed?
They should give iPads the dynamic island
Did they cancel the iPad Mini?
I heard it’s coming in September after these iPads! I live my mini alongside my 6th gen 12.9 pro and I hope to one day see a mini with 120hz screen!!!
I don't use my M2 iPad Pro 12.9 enough to upgrade. They will have to announce one that cooks and cleans and also drives😜
Why upgrade from M2 to M3? Isn't the XDR display good enough on it?
I gonna replace my 11 inch ipad pro from 2018 for the new ipad pro with oled screens or the Samsung galaxy tab S9 plus! I want to see the price first on Europa.
As musician, it has been a long waiting for iPad Pro with bigger screen.
I bought paper like in the past and I just couldn’t get it to go
On my iPad Pro
i WILL BE STICKING WITH MY 11 in. M2 iPad Pro.
i’m still happy with my 6th generation ipad, it works fine :D
ipad mini pro?
What was the Apple Watch strap on 9:11? 😍 9:11
this video is the pinnacle of 2020's aesthetics
Which bits i gotta know 😂
Nope - sporting a 2TB 12.9" M1 + cell, and that's fine for my needs (and probably most folks).
Tbh I would get it if they would improve the Procreate app with new iPad otherwise no need for sure.
I’m tired of hearing about thin bezels I do love the information.
0:49 lol … can’t hear it … maybe it’s a good idea NOT to mute the background music. 😂
NEW MINI!
Seems Apple has changed their strategy of being secretive, if you look at the blue logo of their event there's the spelling of Air (iPad air l , and there's the logo with a pencil (iPad pro and new apple pencil), if you know why they've changed, let me know in the comment. 😂
Probably knew being secretive about a iPad only event would disappoint people and they wanted to announce the event before it got leaked. They still haven’t said anything about what iOS 18 will have and wwdc. iPad rollout has been a lot more straight forward cause the clientele isn’t upgrading. They want to build hype.
They’ve been doing that kind of thing for ages though 😅
I'm waiting for the iPad mini 7!!!
I think they will discontinue it. If it was getting a new version we would of heard something by now
This video needs updated. At least in the iPad Pro 12.9. I believe the 12.9 2024 is being discontinued. The 13" iPad Pro will be taking it's place with the new M4 chip. We will see on May 7th when iPad's Keynote presentation.
From Spain Hola a todos.
Waiting badly
i mean,
c'mon, being able to see battery cycle count and battery health should be available on all devices, not only the pro devices...
Maybe it’s just me, but you could take a video of the upgrades from five years ago, and you wouldn’t notice the difference.
According to IBM:
"Artificial intelligence, or AI, is technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human intelligence
and problem-solving capabilities." Now, even basic image processing functions are considered AI - at least for companies that are marketing their products or general media.
Tab 9 ultra all the way
Sibilance!
Make it out of titanium
In my brain, I’m just no longer going to buy a new Apple product anymore. I will be getting like the iPad mini 5 iPhone X 2015 MacBook Pro but now I’m starting to look into android tablets and PC computers.
With iPads, it's not about the HARDWARE but the SOFTWARE. Spending $2,300 on a new iPad Pro with a pencil and keyboard (plus Apple Care insurance) makes absolutely no software sense UNLESS Apple finally allows MAC OS (or at least a similar version of the software) on the iPad Pro, which would finally make it an alternative to a laptop. Having iPhone software with baby apps compared to MAC OS on a device that looks and costs like a laptop is simply a test of intelligence for buyers, and they could install not an M3 but an M103 chip, but such an iPad is absolutely useless without the appropriate software.
Great content, but this video is a literal recap of your previous video.
We will never get it but an iPad with macOS would be the best machine ever.
Exactly. I’ve been saying this forever.
It already exists. Check out the MacBook Air
@@MmmBopsPops No touch screen. No Apple Pencil. It’s just a Mac.
@@MmmBopsPops lol. I have both, but I understand what they’re trying to say if the iPad could have more functions like the MacBook Air.
