I'm old enough go have seen ROTJ in the theater in 1983.
I was in the line at the theater with my friends to see it for the first time. The people who were in the showing before mine came out when the movie ended and walked right by my friends and me. We asked them what happens in the movie, and one of them said, "Chewbacca dies".
We were shocked to hear that, and spent the whole movie waiting for Chewie to die. We were both relieved and disappointed when he didn't.

A freewheeling, relaxed conversation between Carrie and Letterman about a movie as massive as Star Wars would be am impossibility these days, particularly with Disney at the helm. My God in heaven......if she had any idea.....Carrie....you have been eternally branded onto the heart and soul, the adoration and desire of generations of men around the *entire* world. And it's not ONLY for beauty, but for the courage and will your character embodied. Not since Marilyn Monroe have so many hearts burned with passion and praise toward a woman as toward you. @Nelson Robert Willis I thought Carrie Fisher was Stevie Nick's. I remember looking at the album art of Rumors and asking my mom why Princess Leia was in it.

Lots of people say Carrie Fisher is a Plain Jane, but I think the gentlemen here would agree that the real draw in her is the quiet, alluring mystery underneath that innocent ladylike facade. You want to know her secrets. How she can go from chill to Boss! mode at 3:23, along with the hidden intelligence, wit and charm. And oh, did I mention the bikini?

Good freaking God----back in the day, Carrie Fisher was sexxxy as hell. Yeah, she may have that "girl next door" look----but *that* is exactly the reason as to why I find her *so* hot. No one pulled off that look like Carrie Fisher. To me, the girl next door look is the equivalent to how most men drool over the supermodel type (something I don't find attractive *at all* ). Christie Brinkley is the only exception. But, she kind of has the girl next door look going on, doesn't she? So, we're right back to where we started.
