+ROBOTRIPPIN ROBOT No, he was giving the finger to the haters. You know, those that are easily offended by posts about Carrie Fisher's death on FB, Twitter and other social media sites. Yeah, fuck 'em.

I met Mark a year ago and he just treats everyone like he already knows them, really great guy. Really deserves to be back in the spotlight
youre so lucky!!!
Cuthbert Muckley I met him on the third day of SW Celebration this year! When I met him I couldn't stop breathing :')
Such a nice guy though.
Cuthbert Muckley Couldn't agree more. I get that vibe from him. He seems like a real cool guy.
im surprised he didnt get more movie roles, why is that?
+Sebastian Pye He was and is perfect for Luke's role.
I could listen to Mark's stories forever.

Roger Smith A right!
ikr!
i'm amazesd as well, i didn't know he was so entertaining and humble and funny...He and Carrie must have had great times togheter that's for sure
MH is truly one of the best story tellers of all time. Star Wars popularity is largely due to Mark...
Why is this man not directing Star Wars 7-9? He clearly is passionate about the series and the actors and characters
Sadly, passion does not necessarily translate to competence. As phenomenal an actor he may be, we don't know if he could actually handle writing and directing movies of that magnitude.
Look @Wwilliam Shatner.
@@7MukuroRealm Well he probably would've done a better job than either Johnson or JJ. He would've treated the story with more respect.
Biggest mistake was Rian and JJ not listening to him
Because everyone must do what he/she does the best.
I imagine that, if Carrie could send a postcard from the AfterLife, it would say "Having a great time, wish you were here. On second thought, stay there, I like the attention."
Damn that's a good one.
And this is why EVERYBODY loves Mark
Yea
Hell yes
The 501
Lets hope he lives long.
Yup! He’s always been the franchises biggest fan and I just love the guy for it. He’s about as humble and real as Hollywood gets.
To me Mark Hamill's tribute really feels a lot like a brother paying tribute to his beloved sister. It's really a celebration of Carrie Fisher's life.
We all miss her.
Now she has become one with the Force...
The force is fiction. Carrie was a real person. Respect her death without mentioning "the force" and shit like that
The force is not with you.
William that's stupid. So what if it's fiction? It still means a lot to people. I believe God is fiction as well and yet I respect how much it means to people.
People may express their grief in any way that is meaningful to them, and as long as it does not mean any disrespect you should just shut up :)

Mark, you didn't heckle her funeral but you gave her a mighty tribute. We fans, thank you.
It doesn’t feel like it’s been 3 years. We miss you, General. And we know you’re up there flipping us all off in the most loving way possible
General? to me she's Royalty
I miss her so much. This has been floating around in my feed and I haven’t been able to watch till now. She’s the only celebrity I’ve ever mourned because she was so open and honest and funny and real.
@@Mhats absolute royalty. She wouldn't have it any other way. Some people in this world are beams of light and the world will be a darker place without her.
It's interesting to hear Mark say that Carrie always had that warped sense of humor even as a teenager. She was way more poised in her interviews from back then. Clearly someone was telling her back then to keep the off-color jokes to herself...
...And clearly at some point, she stopped listening to them. Thank the maker! :)
Her mother went through the MGM star training machine so it is a pretty safe bet who was responsible for the filtered Carrie interviews. Considering she was a teen at the beginning. It was wholy appropriate.
She literally photo copied her boobs and gave it to many people on the set of Star Wars. Love her style
Poor Mark. While he was reading his tribute, he was trying not to cry. Heck, he even had to skip a part of the speech because it was too emotional for him. You can hear Mark even murmur to himself, "I can't freakin read this." I feel you, Mark. We are all upset about Carrie too. 😔

Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher genuinely and truly loved eachother.
AKdarkness48 I love their relationship so much.
Yes, I can hear it from Mark that he loved her.
Jake Thompson brother and sister separated at birth literally in this case
Even his George Harrison impersonation is spot on!
Of course! It’s not just Carrie we lost now it’s, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew and of course Peter Cushing and several of the other supporting cast actors but while it’s sad they’re no longer with us, we should rejoice in the fact that they even lived and that we got to accidentally know them in the detached way that actors and their fans connect.
he got her. he got her essence through the bi polar and drugs. he really saw her essence even though she couldn't see it herself. it is good that he spoke. and he got how much she meant to all of us who love her without knowing her. this is the best tribute ever.
That’s very insightful and well said and I completely agree. He really DID ‘get’ her despite how complex Ms Carrie was.
I like how Mark pronounces "Leia"... No one else says it like how he says it. Princess Leia will forever be with us in our heart...
Wait, how does he say it? I thought he says it like normal? It's a long video, can you send me a timestamp, please?
His voice sounded so sad... and so positive at the same time...
George was smart with creating the concept of Princess Leia.. it's like Carrie was born to play the role
Barrick MacReady Carrie made the role her own.
actually, I think that role was created so Lucas didn't completely alienate half of his potential audience.
I think Carrie, Mark and Harrison were perfect for their roles. Because every time I watch them doing interviews I think their personalities match with Leia, Luke and Han.
is there a more genuine guy on the planet than Mark Hamill?
Mark Hamill is such a wonderful person. A true jedi.

This makes me sad in that they Mark, Carrie, never got to play a final scene together.
Makes me mad that they waited so long
They have a wonderful scene together in The Last Jedi.
DamienDrake
Digital adding Carrie into a scene after she passed is not the same as have the acters come together and acting or playing a scene together.
Joshkie Josh Kruschke they didn’t. She passed long after shooting ended
Da Man Kurt
Not during the filming of episode 7 Force Awakens.
This what should of happened Luke, Han and Leia should have been the focus of 7 while introducing to some new characters. Then in 8 shifting more focus onto the new while emotionally tying the new with the old organically. 9 then should have been the completion of the passing of the torch to the next generation.
I think Mr. Hamill summed it up best. The story about her in heaven looking down and giving Mark the finger. LMAO.
That was classic. I'm sure she approved.
It was incredible I feel, very very intimate and personal, I've rarely connected that much to a celebrity, but Mark really gave us a deep insight in his feelings and his memories of Carrie. So touching, so warm, so personal, so relatable, so funny. I am overwhelmed by what it made me feel. Mark did an absolutely stellar job. We miss you, Carrie.
I wish I could have heard Harrison's thoughts, but knowing him he's definitely not the kind of man to talk about these things in public.
I can't imagine anyone has handled fame better than Mark Hamill.
Can listen to Mark Hamill talk from hours about Carrie Fisher. Thank you Mark Hamill and Carrie up there laughing along. We will always love and Miss you Carrie. And again there were a tears in my eyes. RIP Carrie.
Yes I wanted him to keep talking about her... another hour at least!!
that Harrison Ford impression was spot-on XD
Weylon Neil Bulloch Jr. he's amazing as Harrison Ford. Watch "A Bad Lip Reading the Force Awakens". Mark voices Han Solo there.
Okan Draman I agree :D Mark nails it nicely there
I've heard Mark do a few impersonations of Harrison over the years. If the movies ever need a Harrison line, Mark can do it.

My mom took me to see Star Wars opening day back in 1977, I was 7 yrs old, Carrie was my first crush....she will be missed :(
Same here. I was about 8 at the time and thought she's super adorable. Through the years even her humour was similar to mine. She is missed and loved.
Back in 1983, inThe Return of the Jedi, Carrie Fisher was sexy as fuck in the first part of this movie...too bad she was not completely nude in that scene because....she was really hot.
I was born in 95 and she was my first crush
I don't think there is a man on the planet that didn't have a crush on Carrie. I was born in 1977 and saw A new Hope in cinemas in '84 or '86 and had a big crush on her.

"We’re all stories, in the end… just make it a good one, eh?" Carrie did and how she did!
Another Doctor Star wars and Doctor Who my two favorite things
There seriously couldn't be anyone more sincere and generous with stories and memories than Mark Hamill. What a wonderful host to pick for this tribute to Carrie Fisher.
This was a tremendous panel; Mark was very brave to allow himself a few brief choke-up moments. He and Carrie were very close, even when separated for years at a time. I could never speak for him, but it seems like he thought of her as true family, blood or not.
Harrison Ford may be the iconic Han Solo whom I adore, but Mark Hamill IS THE MAN! What a great guy! Luke Skywalker 4 Life! I would like to think that any Star Wars fan could be a best buddy with MH...
what does "Luke Skywalker 4 Life!" even mean?
You know, a lot of people used to sell Mark Hamill a little short.
For years he was considered something of a joke-- "yeah, he did Luke Skywalker a long time ago and now he does commercials as voice over actor..."
But a lot of people didn't appreciate his talent, or the burden of being typecast, or its the long haul that defines a career, filled with up and down, high points and low.
He's an intelligent, witty man, finally receiving some recognition and getting the respect that is due him.
Good on him.
The reason Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker is a 100-times better character than most heroes (including Rey) is because he actually is a very nice and sweet person in real life.
Mark could make an entire self-biography that would become its own trilogy, have a prequel trilogy, and have a sequel trilogy as well
You know luke skywalker looks good in that mark hamill suit
Who the hell disliked this ? This was one of the most heart touching tributes I have ever seen
Of course I cried the whole way through this, but the soft, "I don't know if I can read this..." absolutely devastated me. 23:50
She has become one with the force.
RIP Carrie Fisher
Yes. Yes she has. And through the Force, she will be with us...
Always.

damn he is looking in amazing shape now
I know right?
sean murray it's great to see his blonde hair again! (even though it's dyed)
I agree. As I got older, I became more of a Han Solo fan, but when I was a kid, for a good 10-15 years, I was a Luke girl.
I've heard that Ripple. But I will always love Han and Indy. Wonderful characters. As for Harrison, he can do as he pleases. I'm a fan of two of his characters. The rest, I couldn't care less :)
shit Harrison Ford is like 80 he can do whatever he wants in that aspect alone!
I love Mark Hamill. I really do
One of my favorite people ever... Luke Skywalker was my childhood hero.. Luke, and Batman (born 1989)... Huge reason I love Batman is because of his Joker... I used to rush off the bus every single day after elementary school, kiss my mom, and run and pop on channel 5, because Batman was about to start... his Joker, like Luke captivated me so much.. I loved Jack Nicholson, but his Joker was just spot on, I don't think even on film, will there ever be (in my mind) a more definitive version, same with Kevin Conroys Batman, I also think writing, visuals, and many other things should be credited to why Batman TAS was so great, but I think most would agree that Conroy, and Hamill are key ingredients to why it was so amazing... I actually didn't find out it was Mark until much later.. I was shocked, the man is responsible for my love of my 2 favorite fictional heroes... Same with Star Wars, obviously George Lucas, the writers, the other directors, the sfx crew, the other actors, are all the credited for why Star Wars is so great, and his character... but to me the main reason I love Star Wars is Luke, Mark Hamill performance makes Star Wars I try to Imagine someone else playing the role I find it very hard to see it as being just as successful.. Kurt Russells audition for Han solo is on youtube, and if you ask me he would have been just as good as Harrison (not hating Harrison, he made the character so iconic).. I just can't see anyone else being Luke, having that same sense of depth, that truth, honesty in his eyes, that feeling that you truly believe he wants to do good, it shows that he's like that in real life, hence why it shows in his character Luke so much. You can tell he gave it his all.. Just really nice to see he's a stand up, genuine humble guy in real life... makes the character of Luke Skywalker even better.. Thank you Mark.. you were right, I saw the TLJ, you deserved more. That's not my Luke... not my Star Wars.
Batman yeah Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy were my childhood hero’s I met Kevin Conroy once at comic con he let me talk to him and take a picture with him for free he’s a really nice guy he told he loves Batman and he loves Doing it he said Adam West was his childhood hero I think it’s cool that Batam was Batman’s childhood hero it’s awesome he Didn’t charge me to talk to him and take a picture with him because normally it would be like $40.00 or $75..00 or something
Such a cool guy.
I would give away my Xbox to meet him.
Same
I dare you not to cry when Mark cries during this tribute......... every time it gets me.
STORYTIME WITH MARK!!! PLEASE make this a series.
Eric Hansen - he's like my grandfather I can listen to his stories for hours lol
YES.. and He could tell stories in all the voices he can do.. and him telling kid stories as the JOKER.. would be EPIC
Mark almost crying made me start crying.😭😭😭😭😢😢😢
He wasn't almost crying........
"Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?"
Ava Gentry “huh?”
“Oh the uniform”
"HUH??"
I thought; "Oh, a baby stormtrooper."
What I love about Mark is how real he clearly is - I think it may have to do with what he said - he came from a normal life. And even after he was a star, he didn't steal the spotlight his whole life; he simply held everything together with his roles, especially his voice acting. He seems like a pretty humble man, and you can see his humanity slipping out constantly. Every time he is on camera, he slips - whether it be physically, emotionally - you might say he always loses control in some way or other, but in a good way. Other celebrities often seem so fake because they've rehearsed themselves into a non-human, unrelatable box. But this imperfect guy bleeds real blood. You can just sense it every time you see him. He doesn't pretend... I like him more and more every time I watch him... I'd rather hang out with him than 10 others of the most polished, famous, celebrities; because I'd probably feel like I was with an actual person...
Mark Hamill's a really cool dude! I've been a fan of his Joker voice acting in the animated Batman series since I was 14 (33 now), and listening to him tell stories with such a down-to-earth persona is something special!
Me too :D knowing how funny and zany he can get in his Joker voice made this so much harder, to watch him slip in and out of sadness.
He is an excellent Joker, but can we just take a moment and appreciate his genius as Luke Skywalker? Imagine if they would of picked Kurt Russell, or anyone else for that matter!
As soon as he started to get choked up reading his message it got to me too. She was not only a Legend she was a miraculous role model that we will forever Remember. To the Princess of All. Love you Carrie.
The story that he told when Carrie dressed him up and took him around the studio was hilarious! 😂😂
I feel the Grief Mark is carrying. They were really close.
And there’s nothing fake about him either.
Mark will live on forever in his infinite amount of stories.
And Carrie will live on there too.

I could listen to Mark all day long! Such a classy, dignified and humble man 🙌👌
I almost cried when he almost started crying😭😭
I had a really fun experience when I met Carrie. It was at Celebration in 2015. While waiting to meet her, my husband and I walked around the exhibit hall. One of the booths had Star Wars bandaids. We mentioned that we were going to see Carrie. They got excited and gave me a box of the bandaids. They asked me if I would be willing to get her to take a picture with it. Since I was getting an autograph, they wouldn't let me take a picture. So instead I asked her if she needed some bandaids. She said "I do!", holding up her index finger on her right hand. She used to put one on to save herself from getting a blister. I gave her the box, got my autograph and started to walk away. She called me back and asked if I wanted the old bandaid (it wasn't gross or anything). I said sure! She put her initials on it. I have it in a frame in my office!
I was right there next to him! I was in the red shirt on the stage! This was so unforgettable, and I literally couldn't stop crying 💚

I'd always loved Carrie but hearing Mark's stories makes me love her more. Thank you Mark! I truly appreciate that you love her and us as the fans, who grew up loving you all, enough to share your time and give us such amazing stories of such an amazing woman.
It’s the same for when he speaks about the franchise. I’ve always looked at him as just another fan like the rest of us in the most positive of ways of course.
Huge respect for Mark to do this, the guy is an absolute living legend. Really touching and enjoyable panel
I’m not surprised either. Of course it would be Mark Hamill that would do this. God bless him. He’s always been a fan just like the rest of us.
He is an excellent public speaker!
You didn't necessarily heckle her funeral, you didn't sugar coat it either. Just plain honesty and fun. You did so well Mark. She'd be thrilled.
Mark said he wasn't going to keep his promise to heckle Carrie's funeral -- but he does have the perfect thumbnail. I don't doubt she would be amused.
I like his Harrison Ford impression.
What I loved about Carrie Fisher is that when you watch her in the original trilogy she radiates so much energy and life force in a youthful way and then as you watch her when she was 60years old her eyes and her facial expression feel so kind and full of wisdom. Out of all the woman who call themselves feminists these days she is one of the very few who deserves this title.
Mark Hamill... Man, it says so much about a cat who has become so much of an icon on a level even most famous people never reach and you know he's not an act. A genuine guy who treats people that kindly when he doesn't have to... You can tell he's a good man.
Literally the only person's death I have ever become emotional over. I wish Harrison Ford had been a part of this panel.
Terry Jackson-Chubick steve irwin and leonard nimoy for me
That quote at the end....sums it up so well! ("As long as we live, so too she shall live, because she has become a part of us all.")
I just love Mark Hamill's voice. He is such a good story teller.
Mark is one seriously classy dude. The way he's embraced fans, the way he's critical of the sequels and supports the fandom. He constantly impresses me, and to be honest I didn't think much of him back in the day.

You can just tell how much Mark loved Carrie. They were inseparable on screen and off-screen.
You can tell Mark is speaking from his heart here, he always is. He is such a real and genuine person, and he speaks everything we wish we could say to the world at such a high standard. And yet, Mark seems off, i know he is on his way to 70 but he seems like movement is a problem, when he sat down he grunted and wheezed, and when he walks around he seems to slightly struggle.
Mark, when Carrie passed it hurt us all greatly, but if you pass, i don’t know what we’ll do. And yet, it has to happen someday, it does to everyone.
Omg, i dont even want to think about it. Mark hamill was part of my life, since I was 5yo. He should live forever cause I'm not prepared to this mement 😭😭
