This is applicable both to COMAND Online and Audio 20 head units.

Guys it is more complicated than this. First off, in command setting REMOVE ALL LISTED PHONES. Then on your PHONE forget (delete) BT MB connection to the car. And then in COMAND reset all NETWORK SETTING. And only now, you can have a fresh and clean installation explained in the above clip.
So simple once someone tells you what to do. Thanks 😊

I enjoyed the video. Thank you. It’s the saddest thing for me to say, but true nonetheless, that there’s a better chance of teaching a pig to fly than there is getting information from a dealership about how to access and use the features that we pay for. I recently had 2 different Mercedes salesmen (both with over 10 years working for the dealership) tell me that my 2014 CLS550 didn’t have lane keeping assistance or parking assistance because those features weren’t available in 2014. Of course that’s untrue, the car has all of it, but I had to get the info from CZcams. I should note that my interaction with those 2 idiots was during the process of buying the car. I didn’t just pull in and shout for help. These people should be able to describe the features and demonstrate them. It simply isn’t true with Mercedes. Service techs can’t tell you how to operate systems either. They know how to change out modules. It’s truly pitiful.

I have a 2016 c300 and I did all the steps but it doesn't connect me. It says data connection failed. I have an android phone please help. I read that you need Bluetooth DUN+ for this to work

Then I enabled hotspot via bluetooth... And it connected in a moment.

Hi Logan thanks for putting this together, but it didn't work for me......i think its because of the HERMES module. with the 2016 C300...have you done any research on this module ? if it has a sim card that can be replaced?

Paul Lo Hello Paul. Yes it should work. Personally Android is easier because iPhone has strict security measures. But I don't see it being a problem :-)

You can connect to the internet through the standard Audio 20 system. Google Maps however will not connect to reflect on the vehicle screen unless the vehicle is equipped with Apple CarPlay.
What I would advise, is by a bracket to hold the phone, and use the maps on your phone. It'll speak through the cars audio system but it saves you the hassle of forking out a lot of money to buy our navigation system aftermarket.

Joshua Maynard on theory it should work yes. Up to three devices can be connected at the same time.
Hi, i ll did all the steps, and when it tryies to connect it says, pls check date and time at vehicle settings. I did all that and still the same error , when checking the conection on comand , i can see my network name on screen but for data trafic it says offline. I have a Samsung Note 5 and MB C220 D Bluetec 2014-2015. Please help. Thank you, Alex

Hmm - that sounds to us that our software and userface is different.
I know that in the US, our LED Intelligent Light System is not allowed in the country, so I do think that this is the same situation.
Because on our side in South Africa, we don't have those options.
I hope that makes sense?

Hello Mr Logan, I have a Mercedes w213, and I cannot seem to find a way to connect it to internet. I am using an iPhone 6. Please can u help?

When using an iPhone, you need to go into your settings and ensure that you've selected "Personal Hotspot".
Alternatively you can connect to the W213 to a wifi hotspot. So if you do not connect via Bluetooth, turn your iPhone into a wifi hotspot, and then search for Wifi hotspots from the car, and the E-Class should then pick up your phone's wifi.

Mr Logan, I tried everything but can't get my W213 to connect to the internet via my S7 Android phone. I enabled the settings Mobile hotspot an Bluetooth tethering but the W213 just can't use your phone as a Internet gateway. The W213 is also not able to connect to any Wifi Hotspot. The only option is to buy a extra Mobile data subscription (Vodafone in Europe).
Hello Patbis68. The E-Class should be able to link to the phone's wifi hotspot instead of the Bluetooth tethering. Does it not pick up the phone up as a wifi hotspot?

In System > Connectivity I only have the options Bluetooth (on/off), Wifi (on/off), Setup Hotspot (extra Mobile data subscription needed) and Internet Status (extra Mobile data subscription needed).
It says ‘the page requested could not be loaded in full’. Please help

when we post videos like these it is important to state the exceptions.....like this will only work with such such benz for a region and not give people impression that they are not doing something correctly when what you suggests doesn't work....

What Mercedes Dealers don't say is that for internet access there has to be bought a package. And that's where i get allergic. It took our Mercedes Tech-Team here in Italy almost one year to discover that internet only works if the customer subscribes by paying. Unfair and illusional commercial about nice things we could do in a Benzo....but since i use my own internet traffic from the phone I question myself why (besides paying already quite a bit already for the car) i still have to buy internet connectivity packages expiring after a certain time??? This is pretty much bulls**t!!
