Quiet Lunch got a peek at an exclusive exhibit opening in New York City presented by Dior Beauty. Holton Rower does one type of art, Pouring Paint. Sure, anyone can do that but not on the scale Rower does it.
Many thanks to @ArtofOR, @TheHoleNYC, and The City Frim.

I think most people commenting don't really understand that although it looks so easy, there's so much more to it! Paints don't tend to sit on top of each other while wet together, they typically blend especially when they have more liquid/flow. You have to know density, velocity among other things when it comes to colors, if they do blend what color they blend to etc. There's so much more that goes into this type of art! They didn't just dump paint in cups and start pouring but it never gives details on that part unfortunately so most people may think that's all it is.

True. This, however is performance art more than a how-to video. Truth is there is way too much paint and no real info given unless we observe the way they pour contrasting colors in early part of demonstration and then hues of one color followed by a contrasting colors and hues in that color, ad finitum.. .. No covering the corners of course! Pure performance art!

People working on the floor. Lots of cameras and media attention. A middle aged guy and his young attractive students. Everyone focused on something that seems completely mundane, easy, senseless, messy and colorful.
Must be some fucking good art! I better take a picture.

How do you plan ahead how much paint you would need for such a project? It is an amazing feat of preparation and choreography. Look at :07 how much work he has done ahead of time to ensure the proper color scheme in the palette. He also has to work extremely fast to ensure that the flow is continuous. It looks deceptively easy, but upon examination anyone can see the work and vision that went into this.

The fun with pouring paint is the unexpected, the surprise element that comes at the end. The process for this painting is far too premeditated. It reminds me at the paper with outline already in place given to Kindergarten children who had to color inside them. The child creativity was supress in such exercise.
Without the help of the people passing the cups to him; he alone could have never manage to do such large work.

Look up, "Artist's Shit" on Wikipedia: Italian artist Piero Manzoni = created work that consisted of 90 tin cans, filled w feces, each 30 grams & measuring 4.8x6.5 cm It sold at Sotheby's Auction House on October 2008 for £97,250.00.
